  1. Well it's acually synthetic but not that it makes much difference, and yes its nylon. This last round through the washer with the baking soda helped but it also started to tear the stiching in the arm. So it's going to have to be good enough for now and start looking for a new jacket next spring. I can't complain it was a $50 Ironpony closeout jacket to begin with.
  2. Zac Brown is one of my top 5 faves, that was sweet.
  3. thinking about throwing it in a trash bag and empty a box of backing soda into it, and shake it around a few times, and let it sit a day or so.
  4. Just read about the baking soda idea, trying it now
  5. Using a clutch for shifting sounds like udder nonsense. .....
  6. Just like the title says, some how my bottle off hypoid gear oil fell over and spilled maybe a half a quart on the shelf that all my pant and jacket liners were sitting on. My quilted touring jacket liner was on the bottom so it go all of it. Now ive soaked it in Dawn, Simple Green and sent it through the washing machine several times with various degreasers, detergents and hot water. I think ive got most of the oil itself out of it but that crude oil smell is still there, those that dealt with this stuff knows the smell i am talking about. I no longer see or feel any oil on it anywhere, but that smell is over whelming, does anyone have any ideas? If it were my pants i wouldnt worry about it but with the jacket zipped up the smell runs right up under the helmet.
  7. Let me know how these work out Phil i might try them if you like them. I trust your opinion since your one of the few die hard touring bubbys that i personally know.
  8. When I need to buy a new one im going to steer towards the Firstgear because it seems you get more bang for your buck with them. Plus for me they make some tall sizes that fit me better.
  9. I think some of the boys are a Williams camp ground this weekend.
  10. It's all kinda spread out, no real one area to head to hit the best. Some to the east of Monday creek have mud pits, switch back hills, and streams. The other way there are little more technical trails and tighter corners. Big mud pits in the bog up the hill from P1, and the deer stand loop. Some decent hill climbs just off the trail on the 1985 loop. You can take high speeds through the pines at the new straitsville loop. Like I said it's all spread out.
  11. Nope, got family stuff to do. Plus I'm still nursing my broken wrist, so even if I could go it would be at a snails pace.
  12. Kershocton bubbyhttp://wildlife.ohiodnr.gov/woodbury
  13. FYI to anyone interested, I usually were a L or XL in most brands, but my exo400 was a 2xl so they run small
  14. Myself and the wife have gone down this time of the year a couple times for our anniversary Its actually less busy than summer months. Most of the color watchers stay on the other side of the mountian in the National Park area, and the weather not warm enough for most posers and wanna be "bikers". If my wrist could handle it id go for sure but im still a couple week out from trying to ride the bike again.
  15. same here, just see a "crotch rocket"
  16. Many threads on here about underwear or threads that have turned into conversations about underwear but here is another option that looks like it was well thought out for most riding types. http://motoskiveez.com/ http://www.advpulse.com/adv-products/moto-skiveez-padded-motorcycle-shorts/
  17. That's kinda cool, right in our back yards
