  1. Thinking of selling my YZ250 too. Looks clean. GLWS
  2. I know a guy looking. I'll let you know.
  3. I wear my Levi's, Harley boots, dew rag, and a cut off flannel with my Oakleys...cause I'm a bad ass like that.....
  4. Any dirt particles in the bottom of the bowl in the carb? If it's getting spark and gas, it should fire. Can you smell gas when you are trying to get it started? My 07 YZ250 just sat for 14 months and started on the first kick. I know it's newer, but 2 strokes are not too difficult typically. I've heard some nasty sounding bottom ends, but never seen one that wouldn't start because of it. Not saying it couldn't be, but i don't have experience with that I guess.
  5. This sounds like something i may be into as well.
  6. Yes they are. I just found out recently I had been sending porn text messages to somebody that I don't know. They never responded until i sent a really nasty one...
  7. I have heard horror stories about malfunctions and other things from the DIY remote starters. I've talked to mechanics that recommend buying it and having it installed by a professional that offers a good warrantee/guarantee. I bought my wife one last year, and ended up taking it back and paying someplace to do it for about $80 over what I paid for just the starter without install. I would check around.
  8. Lake Norris is about $1700 for a 4 day weekend for a 6 bedroom. It's probably around the same.
  9. Never mind. I can't upload anymore pics or something.....
  10. That sure looked aweful clean to chop. But it's gonna really be badass when it's done.
  11. We've had camping passes every year, but this year is not looking good. Our typical crew is low on funds, and seeing as how it has gone up in price every year, we may not make it.
  12. Leak-proof fork seals....seriously? Do some research. We used to put Honda seals in our Yamaha's because the Honda seals had 2 ribs instead of 1. Almost double the protection.
  13. A newer 2 stroke 250 can lug you around the trails just fine without fouling plugs. If you do not get an enduro version of the 4 stroke, you can easily overheat the stroker if you trail ride. If you buy a used 4 stroke (especially a 250), just be careful, most say they are ticking time bombs. And if you blow that motor up, you will have more in rebuilding than the bike is worth (in some cases). If you're not tapping out your 2 stroke all the time, you will not need to redo top end every year. I used to ride mine quite a bit, and only did the top end about every 2 years. 2 stroke all the way. And they are a lot more mellow than they used to be. You can go as slow as you want, and keep the RPM's as low as you want. I may possibly sell my YZ250 if the price was right.

As was already mentioned, just take your time. Speed comes with seat time. Welcome to the site.
  15. To be honest, I don't know if it will be on the track or not. There are some nice trails out there too. My guess would be a mix of everything, kind of like a Grand Prix.
  16. COCR is having a new event coming up soon: http://www.pitracer.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?2210-COCR-Winter-Ride!&p=16878#post16878
  17. All new event at COCR. http://www.pitracer.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?2210-COCR-Winter-Ride!&p=16878#post16878
  18. Yup. I know too many people first hand that abuse the system like this. Those kids do not have a mother anyway if she is a crack head. Don't even get me started on child support! Take the money that is saved from supplying junkies. and put it into the foster care system.
  19. That would just make too much sense wouldn't it? I've been asking for this for years. If we have to take a drug screening to work and support the non-working, why the hell wouldn't they have to take a screening?
  20. Bummer man. Good luck with your sale. I went through the same when I dropped the price of my FZ1, then I couldn't let it go when a guy came to buy it. Well the fact that we couldn't get it out of the driveway due to ice helped, but I never returned his call after it melted.
  21. No prob with contacts. The 24 hour contacts are fairly controversial. My doc will not prescribe them to me, but my sons doc will to him. I chose to take mine out daily. But if I forget (drunk), and sleep with them in, I typically cannot tell any difference.
