  1. I know there's apple haters here, so c'mon out. Word has it that there'll be two larger sizes of iPhone, that the iWatch will be announced but not come out until 2015, and that the new iphone and maybe watch will have an NFC payment option. I think what apple does with NFC payments will determine if the event is seen as a "hit" or not. I'll admit I re-bought into apple stock not too long ago, but It's a LONG term investment, so what happens in the next week or two (or month or two) doesn't matter to me. Apple events normally show the stock price reflecting the hype and then dipping post-event. But face it, when apple brings out a watch, a real apple TV, or revolutionizes/mainstreams the mobile payments field, that's when they'll discover another multi-billion industry... and completely own it again, until other companies steal market share.
  2. I sold one of mine for profit, and e-mailed about gettin' the other fixed before the fall epic ride!
  3. Bought a bike, rode it for 3 months, and sold it for profit. Sold my Ninja 500R this weekend. Originally had it listed at $3,000 on Craigslist, but lowered that to 2700 or 2800, and then lowered it again to 2500. I accepted $2,250 for it. I paid $1,500 for it. I had it about 3 months and 1,300 miles. It was an '03 with about 10K miles on it, on near-mint condition. All in all, a VERY fun bike that I found to be capable and extremely low-maintenance. As in, it didn't ask a whole lot of me, I could just hop on and go. Only downside was that it had to work a LITTLE bit hard to let me have the fun I wanted to on the highway. I still have my yzf600r and she'll hopefully be back on the road again. 8.5/10 for the Ninja 500r, would own & sell for profit again

    DucRx

Sure hope he treats Yammies as well as Ducs I'm sure he does, but my baby will be under his knife soon!
  5. Interesting splash of red for the rear brake light and green for the front turn... They're the only bits of color in the image.
  6. congrats! Enjoy the new ride and take it easy until you get used to her!
  7. That was visceral to watch. So sudden. Yes, the car turned in front of him, but I also blame the rider (as much flaming as it may get me). He was going WAY too fast... we've all done it, myself included. Even if it was the car's fault.... You can't sue if you're dead.
  8. I sneezed in my helmet this morning. It sucked. No, wait, it blew.
  9. And my newer bike will probably be in his garage ^^^^ Plus I have a 2-day softball tournament. I suppose there's a small chance we'll be eliminated Saturday, leaving me free to join in on the Ninja 500, so I might as well follow along to this thread.
  10. Tracy, if you're from up north, too, maybe we can ride down together. As for skipping the ride, I wouldn't mind doing at least some of it with the group, but I AM in favor of a longer lunch hour & more relaxing yeah, yeah, social rider & all that
  11. Stay safe & hang in there. No matter how much you miss them while you're over there, looking back will make it seem as the year flew by. Just keep it all in perspective and don't go crazy
  12. So YOU'RE the one that took the first thing I tried, hahaha. I passed a pair of Duc riders today on I-480, and the guy in back had "DEZMO" as his plate.
  13. Looks nice! I recognize the expression on your wife's face... It's the one that says "I'll humor him because I love him, but I really don't want this picture posted on the internet"
  14. wasn't the escort with them for all of like 4 minutes or something?
  15. That article has lots of nice things to say, but there are like 5 grammar mistakes in it that hurt my eyes I'm also a little sad that I've never owned a Superhawk 996. It's on my bucket list for sure!
  16. Good, I was feeling bad about not picking it up
  17. not mine, just saw it on CL. pretty cheap for a 650r. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/4640635636.html
  18. I got my firearms training in the navy, and I've NEVER fired anything in full auto mode. Short of being in a jungle in a Vietnam-style scenario, I don't think I'll ever need to. With a weapon in SEMI-automatic mode, I'm pretty confident I could kill anything I could see. Unless they kill me first, of course, hence the need for full-auto & overwhelming/supressing firepower Really, though, short of TSHTF, I can't imagine a need for anyone to have full auto... much less a 9 year old girl.
