  1. Congrats! I'm on a sittin' up bike, now, too, and I'm not sure if I like it or not, but then I came from Sport-touring, and not hypersport like you

    God help me.

Actually, that sounds pretty interesting! Any video?
  3. Sounds like a great project... Take lots of pics along the way and don't give up!
  4. I read somewhere that taking a bike off its centerstand with the side stand down could jolt the kickstand and possible cause damage to either the kickstand assembly or the frame of the bike. I read it on the internet, so it must be true. I use my kill switch, so that the bike is stopped before I take my hand off the bars. Guess that makes me a lamer But I prefer one hand on the front brake and one one hand on the clutch, even though I park my bike in neutral. Unless I'm worried about it rolling forward where it might come off the kickstand, then I leave it in gear. I have to pull my key from the ignition to unlock my frunk, so I'm not worried about leaving it in the ignition and running down the battery... Although I have left it in the bike before I had it turned to "off," which I think I do by habit immediately after using the kill switch.
  5. I've heard that VW's are good, clean cars....
  6. My guy's name is Steve Scherl. His cell is 216-244-2853. I think he's a one-man construction company, but he's licensed, bonded, and insured. Also very friendly and communicative. I live on the east side in Lyndhurst, and he did a job at my place, so he's at least somewhat local. Definitely someone I'd recommend if you're still looking.
  7. haha, they caught him when he couldn't get past a car at a red light.
  8. Sorry, you don't have permission for that! [#10744.1]Sorry, but that does not appear to be a valid image. If you arrived at this screen by following a link on this site, please notify a system administrator Need Help? Our help documentationContact the community administrator
  9. That bike is B-E-A-U-TIFUL. Looks better than half the things on the road, easily
  10. My dad a Forrester and went off the road in icy conditions. Totaled the car, but he walked away without a scratch! So he bought another. It rolled over 200K so he sold it on Craigslist (VERY easy sale, from what I understand, as the car is in demand) and now he's on his third Forrester. From what I hear, he has nothing but good things to say about them.
  11. "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. phew." One of those, eh?

  13. nice to see some Karma in action.Maybe he thought they were racing?
  14. Nowadays they just ask for license + proof of insurance.
  15. A year from now, you're going to bitching that you can't get your money out of it certainly not if you buy tires for it. That'll probably for 4 or 5 grand.
  16. I can give you the name/number of a guy I know who did my home repair if you want. I'm not sure if he does electrical or not, TBH, but if he doesn't, I bet he knows someone that does. His name is Steve Scherl. I'll just send a pic of his card. He was a REALLY nice guy, and was VERY prompt about estimates, communication, etc. Did a great job and was on-time. I had water get behind the tiles in my bathroom and it eventually found its way downstairs to the condo below me. The owner of the unit was renting it, and has known Steve for years and used him for lots of things on lots of properties. So Steve got called for downstairs, and ended up doing my repair, too. I mean, everyone needs "a guy," right? So now I got a guy. Like I said, very nice, easy to work with, clearly very skilled. But not sure if he does electrical. Text him or give him a call, can't hurt. Pic of business card attached.
  17. Buy my bike, it's sensible instead of fun.

  19. paintball? Lazer-tag style guns?
  20. sad I couldn't make it It was POURING in Lyndhurst, though. Plu sit was Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, and I had to do a family dinner.
  21. I understand what you're saying, but it's my own home! Even if you're a private citizen, if you want confidentiality, don't go into someone else's house Although I guess my condo technically has cameras on the front gate, and here and there, and there ARE notices up on the little house near the gate saying the premises are monitored, so maybe that covers me
