  1. MidO's program sounds almost identical to STT's format. I'll be there in July with a bunch of you OR folk. Gonna be a blast to get more track schooling, I could definitely use some
  2. Checked the weather for Logan earlier too. So far it looks like a chilly ride there, then awesome conditions all day. Only 20% chance of rain for now, hoping it stays clear for Saturday but temps come up to the 70's
  3. If you have a truck and just one bike, there's no need to invest in renting/buying a trailer....at first. However, you'll probably want to sell your house to live in a toy hauler and travel to every track on the planet so your new addiction gets well fed
  4. Small pack rides are similar, but group rides are a bit more regimented. Since group rides are larger we have a lead and a sweep to help keep us all as close to one entity as possible, everyone stays put so no leapfrogging or crazy passing back and forth without consent of the rider ahead of you.....its not a race, so keep your egos in check before we head out. Long straights and in-town behavior should follow typical pack ride protocol, meaning staggered formation with ample room for each rider to brake/maneuver. Once turns and twisties ensue, it's single file to allow everyone the full lane width. Our group will be a medium paced romp, nothing too overly-spirited but there will be some quick cornering. Some moments of straightline speeds "may" exceed posted limits, but I will hold at every stop until the sweep is back together. Gonna be a fun ride, great scenery, and good folks.....hopefully the weather plays nice
  5. I'll likely lead our SWO medium group
  6. I'm sure Dubie and hahafzr wouldn't mind company. Wife and I wont be eating at Bob Evans before the ride, so we'll see you folks at CompAcc about 730am
  7. Now you're talking, but that would surely guarantee a colon bomb before getting home
  8. Ugh, dont get me started on DMG it gives me a sad
  9. Meh, maybe he's ok with giving a few roadside trees a mud bath every few stop signs
  10. GLWS - This system has a crazy cool tone, buy with confidence folks. You going back to stock Andy, or another aftermarket?
  11. We tend to eat light before/during the ride so random bowel movements are at a bare minumum, yet our strength is kept up with a snack every couple hours or so. We may eat after the ride before heading back, but that'll be played by ear until then
  12. Welcome back. Join us in a trackday if you really want that new-found-twisty-lovin'-grin widened. You'll learn what no road can teach
  13. ^^THIS^^ It's not much different than riding with a small group of 4-6 where riders fend for themselves, only our groups are 10-12 riders with designated lead/sweep keeping everyone together. Up to those that would rather not ride with the organized groups, but I don't see much of a difference -- there's inherent danger no matter the group/speed/abilities
  14. Why not ride the Feej so you can haul the blow in the saddlebags and get at least one hooker on the back? Couple short weeks away folks!
  15. This is the route I would take, way more bang for your buck even if you hired a guy to build it. Could be done cheaper than depicted. Especially if the windows, siding, and fancy doors were taken out of the plans. http://panofish.net/building-a-shed-under-a-deck/ Basic plan is this, then finish with whatever exterior you'd like and a simple z-framed door. Depending on overall dimensions, you'd probably only have $400-$500 in materials Ah, disregard. Skimmed the other posts too quickly and missed where you'd already tried this route. Carry on and glws
  16. Wonder why, the U.S. market tank out with these or something? Seems some of the coolest stuff either hasn't made it here, or quits coming here. And since AJ donated to my tankbag cause, I may end up ordering an Autokicker later this year/winter. It just seems really well put together, only $100 and has all I want, can mount forward enough so I can tuck/turn without much interference, low profile and longer, and the GPS mount is stationed at the upper front of the bag ( where it makes most sense ) instead of being mashed against the belly or nutsack like a lot of versions sold here.
  17. Thanx AJ, I appreciate the gift and I'll definitely make this work. At least for a while. Cant beat the price either.
  18. Brake pad and line condition, fluid leaks, fluid levels, chain tension/condition.
  19. I seriously need to get off my keister and cut weight. I'll never fit in my leathers this year if I dont make a drastic change and stick with it. My diet isn't too bad, it's the lacking activity level after work each day. Starting over once again
  20. For the money vs gain, a good investment for sure. Twice the price with an exhaust system and tune for similar results, but for a grand you could pump the HP into the high 150's at maybe 95lbs. Quite a chunk of change, but quite a performance jump too.
  21. Will do. Maybe you'll have a bike for the next ride Lets stick with the rest stop just south of Rt36 along I-75 so it's a quick on/off and there aren't any traffic/stoplights to contend with. Then we can get underway as soon you guys arrive so we can meet up with the group at CompAcc. I figure the wife & I will be to the rest stop about 630ish am to meet you, that would put us in Springfield about 715am to chit chat a bit before heading east. Are you & your buddy planning to stick with our SW group in medium pace? I really dont want either of you pushing your limits and riding above your comfort levels.
  22. Anyone ever heard of Autokicker from the UK? Looks like good equip and I like the swept design with a sunshaded GPS pocket up front http://www.autokicker.com/products/motorcycle-luggage/tank-bags/wanderlust-gps-travel-tank-bag.html'>http://www.autokicker.com/products/motorcycle-luggage/tank-bags/wanderlust-gps-travel-tank-bag.html
