how reliable are the electronics on these? @tonik just give this a try for this season and if you don't like it always sell it off, good motorcycle as mentioned by anyone who owned them.

Thx for coming out on short notice guys, fun day, good temps, safe ride. Sorry my energy crashed by the first stop, glucose and caffeine can only prop ur self up so much. Next time will tow u guys around better and longer routes. Had a good veteran group today so pace was ideal for you hooligans wish I could have kept it up like that, but got too tired and sleep caught up, in a way it was for the best. It was sort of battle between fate and luck, newish bike, no sleep, passing double yellow and speeding straight into a lighted cop car, big freaking deer crossing right in front, trucks pulling out right in a speedy sweeper. Most thankful made it home in one piece. Hugged and kissed my son as soon as I pulled in, promised won't repeat this and u know what, might do the same crap next weekend again lol

Beautiful day and weather lets ride.
-
won't let me sleep damn,
-
I can drop u guys off at 9 and 30 Kensington easy to head north west

Now that reinforced it Duc it is. Might as well start riding it at some point. see you you folks in AM, hopefully the call goes smooth and they let me sleep a bit tonight to be fresh and kicking in am.

Booooooo the new tank bag needs testing, come onnnn cooommmeee onnnn Okay with that one short sentence i am convinced I am making the right decision

In this board the best person who would understand the joy and mainly pain for motorcycle adhd is you, we should trade cycles every 6 months before trading it for yet another one. That's a good solution to lessen the heat of addiction. Hahaha soon will need a bigger closet at this rate why why why, you are a monster for planting this ape crazy idea in my fragile mind
-
My my heart is saying to ride it, brain says get used to it and till then ride the strom which I am used to by now, much better rider and safer on that. But you know what we never listen to our brains about two wheeled questions what I really should have gone for was the ape, always listed about them bikes and thought of as a best step up from the Vfr v4
-
Awesome, good group. Hopefully you guys okay with mediumish pace, I am thinking to take the Duc against my better judgement. Worried about not being used to the bike at all. Completely different ride it is, plus the fear of break down . I should take it out only when @Isaac's Papa is there You could make it run with your fingernails if needed

hahah like I said just been riding around town, and sticking to stereotypes by searching for hole in the wall hipster joints was pretty much the only thing I did so far. good part is its comfortable for two up and that was one of the reason behind choosing the monster. (comfortable for two up which was one main reason I went for monster.) hahaha I felt like cheating not telling you guys I guess it would have been worse if I just showed up in the bike like "hey look at me and my shitty high cost bike" , should be getting punched in the balls for sure for sure, I love the look of this guys, making me inspired to take more pics and videos for sure just like what the viffer did to me ty, I was so tempted to post when u did. I feel white was a better color and sort of different on the monster compared to all previous ones.
-
Ty This was quickly hashed up work. I put more effort into a VFR video, may because I loved it more. don't know. Still time to work on this guy a lot haha ty, yep monster 1200. it was he looks I fell for, plus many other positive factors. But I have to admit the stance and the looks played a major role. I feel so vain frowned upon by uber practicals, @Uncle Punk which I thought I was until this. ty, if I hadn't made this hasty decision I would have went for gsx f version. Had my eyes on it since they came out. You made the perfect decision. ty

slightly less gay this time. Had this bike since end of april and never posted up because first i was embarrassed about ADHD and buying bike, second it was sort of materialistic thingy i never wanted to be associated ever in my life.Loving the vstrom and always riding it meant i never rode this bike at all other than some in town commute. I never liked the bike and never could forgive myself for buying it. Wanted to sell it to get the remorse down and always thought no one in OR would know except couple of folks. But since some new tires went in i been riding it bit more and the more i ride the more i love it. to the point i might even bring it to some group rides if i can get used to it. Hence to make long story short, just wanted to share the bike. At least for me i feel good and almost feel like getting a fresh breath of air when some one posts and shares their new love of life. I feel part of that happiness. Hopefully some one else gets that joy from this. And rather than just posting a pic and calling ti a day i thought i would make a short video to stretch that excitement 30 secs. so no more weeks of waiting and repeating the crap storm in short i am trying to say is i am not trying to show off a new bike, just sharing what i love to do which is make videos. watch in HD please as you might guess its a whole lot of dark room and flashing light crapshoot.

Sorry for late notice again, Most frequent flyers will be planning on longish ride for the whole day. I only have few hours, hence plan to ride for half a day and cover like 150-200 miles Hence planning to keep closer to nEo area itself and avoid trek all the way south. Dont get me wrong there are plenty of fun roads pretty close by itself, so its guaranteed not going to be boring As of now planning on leaving Canfield ohio sheetz ( 11&224) by 8:00 [ 4585 Boardman-Canfield Rd, Canfield, OH 44406] Plan to ride a loop of around 200ish mile and be back home by 1 pm unfortunately due to time constraints wont be able to head westward, planning to dip straight down south and return, hit some newly paved good roads. Pace will be medium to med fast, will be 10+ only on straights and absolutely NOT suitable for beginners Due to location and time constraints i am guessing prolly no interest, but hopefully if some one was thinking of riding, lets go. earlier start and finish means less crappy oven roasted riding as weather is absolute scorcher that day and the east end has much to offer to guys who never been in this area.

since toni'c' seems to be busy on cycletrader i will post on his behalf

and i missed all the pics posted by @DerekClouser Very nice derek and thx for taking the effort to do those. Its not the physcial part but the mental part to unhook from the ride+adrenaline and try to take pics and at times loosing the groove and having to restart and get back in rythm of riding. I feel like i ride so much better and more focused when i am not carrying the go pro etc . but certainly miss the pics and videos once i get home and punk hope your gear fixed by now.

I got the same one, not super quite but a good modular light weight helmet. Happy with mine, hopefully u will be too. Once u go modular u never go back,

As tonic would say, FJR mods lock up the thread /

Since this will be sort of test flight I am going to assume you wouldn't want to spend too much money upfront on bike and be stuck with it. Used bike below 5ish is safest bet, below 8kish region is Reasonable risk I have ridden with you only few, but from that my gut tells me you will not like full on sports bike for sure, ergonomics wise as well as it might even feel twitchy when coming from heavy stable wheel base bike and I think you are going to want more torque than hp. I am going to make wild guess that your riding style prolly like mine, Since I love acceleration more than velocity, as in hit that twisty hard and coming out of the corner screaming then slowing down in straight and not trying to hit the high rev range of in line 4 and maintain three digit in straights. Since ur used to these, i am going to assume easier transition to sports bike for you should have, average weight and wheelbase, bigger cc, tourqy motor, abs, upright seating, cruise control, center stand, may be some extra space for donuts etc First and best reasonable option, as every one already mentioned easiest transition and much easier to get used to, still a big upgrade in power and handling will be the fjr, seating will feel natural to you since it's very comparable to your current ride, straight up and lowish. Plus cruise control is a must for you due to ton of highway iron butt munching you do on top of twisty. I promise you will not be holding any one up on that if you were doing able to do nasty things to your current big cow. Plus resale is super easy, every time I see one posted in CL it's gone within a week. And whole package slightly better than Connie 14 second, a step between sane and insane idea, would be arguably the best sporty touring bike of the decade vfr1200, the fit and finish on it miles ahead of even the best bmw I seen, the concept of the bike was miles ahead of the generation it came out. A smallish sport touring rig with shaft, and that v4, just beautiful. The problem here will be a bit more aggressive ergo, even with a riser. But perfectly doable. Resale will be little bit tight as you have to wait for the person who knows about the bike and not guys who follow crappy magazine reviews that the bike received because they didn't know how to approach it. And my insane suggestion to you is getting newish zx14 with handle bar risers its upright, weight will be reasonable for you, you can put bags and center stand on it if you like it, comes with tc and abs and good stock suspension for your weight, I really loved the bike. But it was scary as in you are going so fast but you never realize it. Not just straight line, even in twisty it hustled as easy or better than my Vfr. Only trouble area was like tight switch back Or 15 mph corners, but that's still easier than ur current ride. Every time Your looking down at the speedo u see 3 digit but u were thinking u were cruising all this while. The commute from MI to OH and back in a day was around 750 miles a day was easy on that. I sold mine because I wanted to go slow, but your main aim is to go fast. And this bike will get you to your goal faster. Used ones can be had for pretty cheap as brand new ones are sitting for 11K will be hard resell than fjr but not impossible
