The angle that the scrolled area of the molding meets the flat area needs to mirror the angle that the two pieces meet. Example (and it looks like this is the case): if the molding meets at +45 degrees, you need to cut the scrolled area to -45 degrees. The flat section will meet perpendicular to the floor, the scrolled section will meet at the opposite angle that the angled piece comes up - let the scrolled section of the horizontal piece extend out, then trim it to ~45 degrees. Notch the scrolled section of the angled piece to match. Make sense?

I was happy to help out, with no expectations of winning. I think it's a great idea, a good cause, and I have a lot of respect for you putting up your bike to help your brother. Most Mustang owners are Backer-inners.

Man, now you've got me all nostalgic. I have about a million Otis stories. I got him my sophomore year at OSU, so a lot of the stuff he did went side by side with my own debauchery. But he was such a great dog. Get a Boston, you won't be sorry. Mine would do this thing, where he wouldn't ever let you have the last word. He'd bark, you'd say "Otis, shut up." He'd woof, slightly quieter than the bark. "Otis, be quiet." There'd be a pause, then a quieter woof. This would go on as long as you'd let it, only the woofs would get quieter and further from when you told him to be quiet. I let it go on for an hour once, just to see how long he'd go. Buy the end, he'd wait damn near a minute and his woof was really more of a loud sigh, but that little fucker wouldn't let me have the last word.

Go look at bikes on Craigslist. This post is for a battle royale (pronounced "roy-al"). The bike for sale is maybe a minor blip on the screen, at best. (Seriously, is there even a bike for sale anymore? )

Mine did a lot of chewing - they like people, like to be active. Keep them moving, they're fine. My wife had a Bichon, and our Yorkichon are both three times as bad. I'd take my Boston a hundred times over. They're not terrible, but don't expect a Basset Hound either. Once they get the terrier out of their system, they're fine. by 18 months, mine was about as mellow as any dog I've met. I really think they're about the best dog I've come in contact with - I'm not a "big dog" guy, so there's not really any interest on my part for a 100 pound mate for life. Bostons are great little guys - very good for a smaller space, but do fine in a larger space too. I didn't have kids when I had mine, but he did great with all sorts of people. Side note, I had mine trained when I was at OSU. I could take him to the edge of the Oval, drop the leash and he'd run off. I'd give him about 5 minutes, then start calling him. He'd bark. I'd follow his bark, and find him. Sounds dumb, right? Well he was trained to run to the blanket full of the hottest girls on the Oval and plop down in the middle of it. He'd get steak on the grille that night if he did. That dog ate a lot of steak.

I spent $750 at a puppy aquarium (PetLand maybe?) for mine in 2000. I spent TOO MUCH. Look around, I bet you find one for $500. If you can't, PM me. My buddy who has 3 still knows breeders in the Cincinnati area.

I had a Boston for about 10 years - he was unusually large for the breed, but otherwise was a good example. Very intelligent, but very stubborn. You could train him to do anything, but it he didn't want to do it, tough shit. Very loyal, very protecting. X2 on the snores and farts, but if you feed them good food, it's better. I can't emphasize enough how intelligent they are - I have a friend who still has 3, and they have a TON of personality because of their smarts. You know how sometimes when you talk to a dog, you have the feeling it hears you like an adult on Peanuts? Not so with the Bostons. They have a very good comprehension of what's going on. The one caution - they're a bit hyper for the first couple of years as puppies, but heck - they're terriers. I'd love another one, but my boy is allergic to dander, so we had to get a yorkie/bichon mix which is hypoallergenic. To be honest, quite a bit dumber.

You may also want to dig deeper into Tennessee driving law - I know some states, a minor speeding violation is a no-point deal. I got issued a ticket in a similar way in WV about 12 years ago - I was doing 80 in a 55, guy gave me 64 in a 55 because it's a no-point violation. They just wanted to show a ticket issued, get a little money in the coffers, and most importantly, make sure I slowed down.

I have my loans paid off at this point, but those folks I know who still have substantial loans outstanding have had similar trouble refinancing and consolidating their student loans. Unfortunately, it's another aspect of the financial collapse of the past few years - money that was once plentiful for educational loans has dried up, making it next to impossible to refinance them. Sorry this isn't really helpful, but just know you're not the only ones in this boat. Hopefully the boat will turn soon and money will be more readily available.

Ok - if the owner of the property has a legal claim to it, for example, the camp area has a strict "vehicles left over xx hours will incur fees or be impounded" policy, it's POSSIBLE to get the title. Not at all easy. Abandoned vehicle does not exist in Ohio, mechanic's lien does not exist in Ohio. Ohio has what is referred to as an "Unclaimed Vehicle Affidavit." You file this with the BMV, and send the current owner a registered letter telling them to retrieve the vehicle and pay the fees or it will be possessed under the Ohio UVA laws. If they don't claim after the specified period (I believe it's two weeks), the rightful claimant can file for title, pay some fees (which can be as little as a few bucks, or as much as the entire fair market value of the vehicle) and get a title, free and clear. Here's the kicker - it's almost impossible for a private party to do, and it's difficult for a repair shop to do, even if they have a reasonable case. You are almost required to have the vehicle impounded by a tow company and have them file. And of course the State itself or a City/Municipality can file under the same code. Good luck, I'd look elsewhere for a bike... (Incidentally, I've done this process several times successfully, but it was always through a shop. My recommendation, call the owner or send him a letter. Offer him $50 to go to the BMV, burn another title, and send it to you notarized. If he's left it there that long, he may just do that to get the bike off his records.)
