  1. It's an election year and we caught Bin Laden last year. There, I said it. Conspiracy theorists, go nuts...
  2. Held away, meals and mileage are the only ones that pay at Parsons. Everything else gets locked up in LR forever, either to get cut down or to get denied. Most of the ones I'm still waiting on at this point are road crews doing yard work type claims. Yeah, still UTU - in Terry's local.
  3. If only all my claims would not be in "RESEARCH" I'd have enough for this. Can you call labor relations and just transfer them all to your paystub to pay in 3 - 12 months?
  4. I didn't see anything in the ad, but I have to assume this is a diesel truck. There have been a lot of sweeping changes to the way that a diesel exhaust system cleans and catalyzes the fumes in the past 5-10 years - I know when I was working salvage from '06 to '08 our yards in California were already retrofitting or replacing all of the tow motors and front end loaders to meet these more stringent standards. It applied only to commercial grade vehicles like tractor trailers, heavy equipment, etc. Not saying this is why this happened here, but certainly a possibility. The EPA has pretty much lost its mind is the underlying cause, no matter what reason they cite.
  5. I've done the Halloweekends both as a customer and as a volunteer. Fun both ways, for sure. Little different atmosphere than July and August, right? Coolest part of the experience - on Sunday mornings they test the Millenium Force and if you get there early, they let you ride while they do it. Test Run #1 - Normal operation over first hill. Test Run #2 - Stop at the top to test the function of the trim brakes (sitting at the top for 3 minutes is pretty freaky at 8 am in October). Test Run #3 - No trim brakes at all - and let me say that the only reason it doesn't break 100mph is because they slow it down. It goes over the hill so fast you come out of your seat.
  6. I've NEVER paid for one. Of course my phone sucks. It's a kindofSmartphone. Not too cool. Counting down the days until my contract expires, then bye bye AT&T.
  7. This is what I used to do - I had season passes for two years. Even if there is some rain, as long as it's not a monsoon, you can still have fun - the only close the big stuff - Millennium and Top Thrill if I remember correctly.
  8. Shit, that's gone too?!? Wow, I need to get up there next year...
  9. http://www.northwestohio.com/news/story.aspx?id=800022#.UFDlFY1lRXB Wow - this totally slipped past me. Good riddance. Make room for real rides!
  10. If you've got a noise from the rear diff, most likely you need another one. If it's that bad, it's probably gone. You may try changing the gear oil to see if it gets any better. Not so sure you need a transmission shop. Not sure what you drive, but these days, most drive line stuff isn't economically serviceable. Probably cheaper to put a used one in.
  11. Depending on the girl, wine may work better than makeup to make her attractive.
  12. Just to point out guys, in less than 24 months, this vehicle will be eligible for historic tags. Feel old yet?
  13. I had three interested buyers too. First guy gave me the full $150. No complaints!
  14. I had one of these as one of my first bikes. Great to learn on, great price. Someone snatch it up!
  15. Man, that's a good looking truck. Wish I was in a better position, I'd be making an offer. Take a 97 Sable straight up for it?
  16. Welcome back, beautiful bike!
  17. http://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/3258840701.html For sale after the Tour de Donut: "Up for sale is a vintage Schwinn Worldsport model in good shape. Recently campaigned (yes, that's right - this bike has race heritage) in the Tour de Donut 2012. I figured out about 10 miles into the race that this bike was pretty small for me, so unfortunately it has to go. Was bought pretty much for this race - put on new tires, tubes and liners and a new seat. Has a new Schwinn water bottle and holder not pictured. Tuned up, brakes in good shape. Rides nicely, cycle computer. Seat tube measures 20" (51mm?) from center of bottom bracket to center of top tube. I'm 6'0" and it is WAY too small, both in height and in length. I'd say a rider of 5'8" - 5'10" maybe? Only miles on the new parts and tires were this race - ~35 or so over country roads. I've got about $150 in it, I'd like to break even. Will consider offers, so don't be shy. Thanks!" OR Price $125 OBO
  18. This was a lot of fun - see you next year guys!
  19. I'll look into these - figure about $200 for the camera and card? Thanks for the info!
  20. Buy something that costs $60, return it, use the credit to buy oil.
  21. Very nice classic cafe - totally my style!
