  1. You as well Jeff and to all the other dads out there.
  2. Maybe a bad diaphragm in the petcock. Vacuum petcock?
  3. Good luck on getting Doc to help you out. That poor guy is running on empty. Went on evening ride last week. Blew a red light 1 min after starting ride. Playing catch up on Rt 9 I was passing a pick up pulling a hay trailer. Out of the corner of my eye I see a deer in front of truck. If driver would have lifted that deer would have taken me out. Then he blew two stop signs in Downtown Salem. Yesterday on a long ride on 152 he took off like he was possessed. Took me about 3 miles to catch him and I was riding over a ton at times. Oh yea. That chicken strip thread. That picture is out. He has none left. It seems as though the VFR has turned our beloved Doc into a Valentino Rossi wannabe. Doc get some sleep!!
  4. Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable trip.
  5. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=400295354813&index=6&nav=SEARCH&nid=47904343065. Small unit. Takes up little space.
  6. It's just an optical illusion. Doc always makes me lead and by default that puts me ahead of everyone else.

    VFRs

Extreme caution should be used when riding one on Rt. 170 as they seem to enrage pick up truck drivers. I could rock one. Maybe when I get a little older......3. 2. 1. Doc .. Big3. You is lucky. Nice.
  10. Maybe one of these will work for you. http://www.tripit.com/destinations/11-excellent-motorcycle-trip-planning-websites/. There is also an app for the iPhone and android called Greatest Road. It is interactive in that you can search routes and post routes. You can also make your own routes with gmaps save them and email a gpx file to pc for download to gps. I can't vouche for how the last part works as I have not tried to do it..
  11. Smoke=oil burning............Steam=coolant in cylinder. Smell it.Which does it smell like? But first start it up and let it idle for 10-15 seconds. If it is a coolant leak chances are the cylinder will missfire.Lightly tap on the header pipes and see if one is cold. This will tell you which one is taking on coolant. Also from cold it won't start steaming right away if it is coolant but oil will make it smoke sooner.A blown head gasket usually blow coolant out into the resivoir causing it to overflow. If someone gives you an estimate for repairs without troubleshooting find another mechanic. Also check an R6 forum to see if it is a common problem.
  12. Link your an animal. Enjoy your coma.
  13. I promise I will behave and act my age.
  14. http://abctrailerparts.com/trailer-bearings.html. Not likely to find out what you need with it still assembled. Only sure way is to tear down and get numbers off of bearings and races.
  15. We had a 300+ miler last week. Would only have been about 250 if we wouldn't have had to turn around so much……My bad
  16. 4 lane non divided highway,50 mph speed limit,my speed 40 to 45 on impact,no traffic. Helmet was about it for gear. Back in the day only hoodlums wore leather. Moto cross racers only wore long sleeve jerseys. Me in right lane, small telephone bucket truck parked in substation. Couldn't have been 20 feet from him when he backed right into my path. Some brakes and counter steer and I clocked him between bumper and rear tire. Bounced off truck. No major injuries. Totaled a beautiful black and orange Honda 750F. Only way I could have avoided this was if I had stayed home or left 30 seconds later.
  17. SOOOOoooo.......Your not a pitcher butt a catcher? Nice.
  18. First it was attack of the 250 Ninjas now Viffers on parade. You don't happen to have a Go Pro camera? Be careful of pickup trucks on 170. They don't like VFRs. Welcome to the show.
  19. First off glad your ok. Did you happen to be on a Silver DL1000? I recall tossing a wave to one today and I think it was on 258 and I also remember some kind of crew on the side of the road. Can''t remember which road. It was a long day. There were 3 of us together.
  20. 318 miles for me. Thanks Paul and Doc for a nice day and also not swiping my key and telling me go luck for all the missed turns.GPS did not want to play nice and some of the roads had differant numbers from google maps. Did find a couple keepers. Doc has decided that he does not like tar snakes. One section of 646 was over poputated with them. He thought his tires were going flat.
  21. He was just mad because there were no VFR's. The head shake thing is how he winds up his GoPro.
  22. Back in one piece. Great day guys. Odo says 275 miles. Not bad for an afternoon jaunt. Doc don't forget to take the chicken out of your tankbag. Could get nasty. Good meeting you new guys. Had a blast.Bugs gonna have to wait till tomorrow.
  23. Ya I just did a line of Metamucil and about ready to shoot some Geritol. Red Bull is for Sissies.
