IMO the show is only watchable with a DVR and you can clear about 3 episodes in about a half hour.

Anyone planning on going Monday or Tuesday?
-
Pretty sure wantahertzdonut has it up in a for sale thread. I can hold it for Sat/Sun if you are only coming Sunday.

I've been trying to pm you, but nothing is going through. I'm not sure where about Brian is out of, but I'd appreciate your help if it isn't too far out of the way. I was actually thinking it would be a tight fit to carry back from Nelson since I'm hopefully going to have an extra two sets of tires along for the ride as well. I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out if there are no easier options.
-
Brian, I can hold the frame for you if it is necessary. It will probably be a tight squeeze with everything else I'll be bringing on the trailer, but I can probably work it out. I'll be at PIRC for the track day and probably the races as well.

Had a buddy paint the fairings....we were running short on time so we used single stage paint and the fastest hardener he had. It was darker, but we had to mix in a little white to make it cover better. Photo makes it almost look purple, more of a medium blue. Vinyl sucks, never again....such a pain. Figured I'd give electrical tape a try for the numbers since I haven't heard back from Todd if 92 is taken.

There anyone in the Columbus area that can do me a huge favor and bring up some take offs from Desmo-Brian?

Just got a flat tonight on the way home from a cookout. I'm not sure if it is patchable because it seems to be a fairly large piece of metal. It wasn't run flat at all, pulled in the drive to a large hiss noise and had it off in about 2 minutes as it was completely deflating. I'd like to get it patched if possible, the tire only has about 10k miles on it. Anyone know a decent shop in the area?

Dayum, glad you are ok! The bike start flipping as after it crested the hill?
-
would love to join in, but I need to get my butt in gear and fix both bikes before the weekend. Ride safe!

Bit the bullet and signed up for Saturday and Sunday mini 20 and 600sbk2. I was already signed up for Friday. This should be a fun weekend!

Wow, some people should not be allowed behind the wheel. Glad you are ok

I looked around and saw no reference to that statement, including hitting most of the major game sites from a year or two ago...stopped paying attention to gaming news over the last few years. One European retailer has the console avaiable for pre-order for £400 or....$600....but that means jack. I did find some other interesting stuff, seems like the only thing that will port over to the new xbox is music and video purchases. I take that to mean live accounts with port over as well, since there hasn't really been any direct confirmation of that. Basically no games will port over including: full titles, downloaded, arcade, and indie...and probably the avatar games everyone has forgotten about.
-
That seems to be speculation. I see it being worse than that.

One thing I forgot to mention, there is a neat feature that I have no interest in...fantasy team tracking and notifications while watching TV. I knew it would be a hit with some of my coworkers and it was. One guy went from no interest, to saying he will buy one on that note alone. Insanity.

I'm a pretty avid gamer and my response was.....ehhhh whatever Used game companies like gamestop rape the industry and provide no value.....and people are getting pissy because they will have to pay more to activate their used games. Pay attention to release week sales and you won't have to pay more than $40 each title(either by a direct sale, or by acquiring game credit $'s). Companies have already adopted this model with $10 fees to activate the online portion of games if you do not have the code that is supplied with the original game. Why do you think DLC is so prevalent? The new kinect actually looks interesting with the increased fidelity. Having to always be connected is a non-issue since it is packaged with every box. Requiring an internet connection is also a non-factor for me, since I always will. Just like 99% of the people who are going to drop the coin on this box. Installing each disc? GOOD, maybe that will reduce loading times and negate having to insert the disc....leading to a better overall experience, even though people will bitch because they don't have the patience to pop a disc in and wait for 30 minutes while it rips. Will I buy one? I haven't seen a single thing that has excited me. Forza 5 looked good, but that is not a killer app, I type that as Forza 4 is loading a race on my 360.

Measure twice cut once

Don't think I'll be able to make this, still waiting on parts to fix the modifications I made during the gap trip.

It was a normal 12 volt adapter->USB cigarette adapter->usb cable->gopro. It would charge fine when not recording, but after taking off with the camera recording it would die in minutes. I'm not sure if his cigarette adapter was setup to turn on/off with the bike or not, but on the 3rd day of riding without charging the camera off-bike, it would die. I've never bothered modding mine to charge while riding; I just have extra batteries and can charge them in my tank bag.
-
Just an FYI, we found out at the gap that the cameras do not charge while recording. Well, at least Tim's GoPro 3 Silver edition didn't.
-
One of the best things about these cameras is you can put them anywhere using the sticky mounts. They remove easily with a credit card....don't reuse the mounts without replacing the tape though, it will probably fail. The tape used is 3m something or other, but if you go to an auto parts store and pick up "molding tape" it is nearly identical(sometimes different thicknesses). Do yourself a favor and use a couple zip ties to tether the thing in place; it is a little more work to mount and remove the camera, but that is better then finding that a mount cracked and your camera is nowhere to be found. The little hinge at the bottom of the housing has an open area where you can fit a tiny zip tie through, or making a safety wire loop is another option.

I only have experience with MotoSeries, but I'd venture to guess that some instructors are more like control riders and some control riders are more like instructors. Since there was a big discussion about A groups and I didn't see it mentioned, what are the requirements for MotoSeries A? Besides safety wiring? I don't think I've seen anything else on their site.
-
I want to go to PIRC again and see how NESBA runs things, but the part of my brain that is fiscally responsible is saying "no you idiot, MotoSeries at Nelson and Mid-O are the 31st-4th". The bad thing is, I'll be driving right past PIRC next weekend, whether or not I go to the track....makes it so much more tempting.

Damn, over a chest bump? Heres hoping for a quick recovery.
