  1. I have to give a big thanks to Sam and all his helpers on and off track and for a great meal afterwards too. The owner was there and helping where he could. Nelson is back!
  2. Track is awesome!!! Nice and smooth. You actually have to get used to cone markers and small pavement seems now instead of patches and bumps. It's really fast too. Totally worth it now. Even in the heavy down-pouring rain today the track was really good. Bike hugged the track like it should. Good turn out today and lots of happy faces.
  3. As a kid you don't normally pay attention to news, but for me it was Space Shuttle Challenger that I remember most.
  4. Long over due front fork rebuild with heavier springs from Race Tech, seals and oil, a sag set adjustment, new brake pads front and rear, front master cylinder rebuild and finally a fresh set of new Dunlop Roadsmart II's. Many thanks to @Isaac's Papa for all your help on everything but the Master Cylinder rebuild. I am now ready for my track day on Saturday. I can't wait. She's like brand new again and runs great!!!
  5. Ryan would have been so honored to have you guys do that for him. Thanks for sharing with us. It's sort of how things would go for Ryan with the clutch problems but he would have done the same and made it through to the end. Good job guys.
  6. Sorry to hear this, keep us updated.
  7. Man pulled off motorcycle by low-hanging wire in Bath Township, police amazed by survival http://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/akron-canton-news/motorcyclist-pulled-off-bike-by-low-hanging-wire-in-bath-township-police-amazed-by-survival Be careful out there.
  8. Scary stuff for sure. Glad you made it through that okay without over reacting and locking the front brakes. Don't know how much front brakes you were using but the thing that counts is you stopped the bike in time. It's hard to say what we would do in hind sight when split seconds are all you have.
  9. Way to go Sam. I may be in for this.
  10. Is this the whole track or sections only?
  11. Have an epic trip and ride safe. Interested in your packing on a sport bike for a trip that long and your ride report.
  12. Did you keep most everything stock or what did you end up changing? Nice project.
  13. #NickyHayden fans who want to view the livestream funeral services can find that info here in the official obituary: http://mtrcycl.st/iEuej9 http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/nicky-hayden-kentucky-kid-obituary-and-funeral-services?src=SOC&dom=tw
  14. Going both Saturday and Sunday. Don't know about camping although sounds like fun.
  15. This was lap 2 after the first wreck on lap one that cracked the engine open on a bike that kept riding back to pit lane.
  16. Did they ever say how many riders went down? Incredible!
  17. @Isaac's Papa, thanks but I am going to bail on the event. Will catch up with you another time if the ride gets rescheduled. Ride safely everyone!
  18. That's fine, see you then. Thanks. Will text in the AM if running later than normal.
  19. In as of right now...hope the weather holds out. Taking the wet wx gear with me. Paul, are you opposed to another tag-a-long on the way down?
  20. Congrats! We had two kids, one natural birth and the second scheduled cesarean b/c the cord was wrapped around the kid's leg. The Dr. tried to turn the baby weeks before the birth but couldn't with the way things were tangled inside. It's hard to imagine not having such good care like today. Each pregnancy was different. Glad things worked out.
  21. No problem Sam. Sorry to have arrived a little late. Was great seeing Dave again and meeting some new faces too. I stayed dry both ways there and back.
  22. Nice bike, Doc. You just need to embrace your addiction and go with it. It's therapy for life. Enjoy it. I think we all understand.
  23. It's a great bike to learn on and decide to move up from if you want to. I started on an R6 and still loving it.
