Yep. I was very careful when mounting them the second time. The second failure wasn't in the chord or going into the grip. The failure was inside the grip itself.

Yep. I had the sport version, then the touring version. I liked the touring version much more. If the touring version still worked, I would still be using it. The right hand quit working. My brother tried to fix it, but he was unsuccessful. Having heated gloves, I decided against trying a third set.

I have had two sets of the Oxford heated grips on the Connie. They worked well while they lasted. I got about 20,000 miles from each set, then they failed. Now, I use heated gloves. Heated gloves are great, but you have to plug them in.

To do a track day, I was considering picking up an IXS leather suit on clearance at IP. I have a one piece textile suit that is great for touring, but I don't trust it for a novice track day. This will be my first track day, and I am not sure if I will do any more in the future. Any thoughts or suggestions? Am I crazy to use my Shoei Neotec helmet, or should I get a real full face helmet (not modular)? Any suggestions/ insights are appreciated.

I lost 7 pounds training for a half marathon in the fall. Holidays and Christmas beer have put most of it back on. I am shopping for a new treadmill, so I can jog all year round (without going to the gym.)

I love the difference in the ECU reflash on the Connie. I have been debating doing it on an FZ1, but this time of year all of the miles will be on the Connie (great wind protection).

How much for a large in Silver?

Battery tender and heated gear tails connected to the battery of FZ1. It is ready for winter. It would be nice if it got warm enough to wash and wax the bikes one more time this year.

Me too. There is nothing like child care expenses to put all other costs in perspective. We did an all inclusive trip to Punta Cana about 10 years ago, and it was a great vacation. It was nice to be able to eat and drink anything you want anytime you want.

FZ1 is good for short duration touring. I have a tail bag that would hold enough clothes for a few days. The Connie is good for any duration touring (especially one up). I may potentially want a Honda Goldwing to tour with my wife and daughters.

I'll probably get one of these in a couple of years. It appears they did a good job of trying to catch up to the K1600.

I have no mar tire lube and I have WD40. I use the WD40 more often, because I can spray it.
