That's been my average for the last 4 years. Work is picking up though, so who knows. I didn't even enter the TOH this year.

Put header and mufflers back on, radiator back on with new coolant, forks reinstalled, front tire back on, rear brake caliper now has a new piston and seals, new brake pads and shims, flushed and bled front and rear brakes and clutch, started putting some of the plastic back on. The entire bike has now been gone through and ready for the next 25k miles...one season typically. Tomorrow, I'll do the throttle body sync and put the rest of the plastic on. That'll give me a few days to shake it down before heading for Texas.

I should have said "except for Lucas electrics".

Ohio has decided that officer footage, either dash cam or otherwise is public record, which you can request through FOIA and they have to provide unless its an ongoing investigation...i.e.; officer involved shooting or something similar. You may have to jump through some hoops to get it though, as every jurisdiction has slightly different criteria for the request. A lot of the time it's one poor dispatcher that has a ton of more pressing jobs to do, that has to dig out the info from a poorly planned storage and organizational system. Also, seems retention policies vary greatly. I'm told in the small city I live in, the two officer cam footage is only retained for 30 days.

I'll take OEM sitting on the shelf for 20 years over most new China repops.

I replace wiring harnesses so I won't have future electrical problems. I don't want something some shitty hack has been chopping up the last 20 years. If you can get a new one, do it.

I have to update that, the Harley is gone. She doesn't miss it a bit.

I was looking forward to some good craft brew, but I'll be headed for Dallas on the FJR on 4/15. Work.

I do all the maintenance on my cousin's Ninja 300...look forward to that weekend because I get to "test ride" it afterward.

Yep.

We did Disney a few years ago and I'm glad we went, but I never want to go there again.

I'm a Dovi fan, but I really hope Jorge has the same trouble Rossi had with Ducati. Never liked Lorenzo or Pedro, for that matter. I see Marquez continuing to develope into an extremely mature and unbeatable rider. I'll still cheer #46 first though. Us old guys have to support each other.

Everyone is an asshole, from time to time.

Plus, I just got to 1,000km on the Urinal, so I have an afternoon's worth of work to do to that.

Dammit! Hope this crap turns around for you soon.

125,000 miles on the old girl, so I'm working my way from back to front servicing every component required. Final drive now has new oil seals because it was seeping a bit on the high speed-for long periods riding out west. All rear suspension points have been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and lubed. The bearings, bolts and spacers are all still in excellent condition because I've done this every year of the bike's life. Same for the shift and brake pedals. I'm also taking care of corrosion I'm finding along the way, including the center stand. The salt is brutal on that poor thing. New piston and seals in the rear brake caliper. I'm up to the engine, as can be seen in the picture. Last winter I removed the starter and checked the front oil seal and flushed the carbon dust out of it, which bought me another 25k miles, but it's getting weak again, so it's time to go. New starter will go in today, then I can put the throttle bodies and air box back on, after I check the valve clearances and install new plugs. New throttle cables will last me the rest of this bike's life. Then all that's left is clutch and brake fluid change, steering bearings, fork oil change, fresh coolant and putting Humpty Dumpty back together.

Ohlins. I have GP do the rebuild.
-
Same here. Last couple rides of the year really show how bad they get. Oil changed every year, rebuild every other, which ends up being a little too long, but I'm not grounding the bike in the middle of good riding weather. Rear shock gets a rebuild every other year, again a little too long.

I am a self-centered douchbag and I don't know how my saint of a wife has stuck it out the last 22 years, but I'm glad she has because after reading this, I'd never make in the dating world. I'd probably become some kind of hermit. It doesn't help that I'm 5'4" (with my boots on).

Rode the Urinal to work in the snow this morning. I was covered in salt by the time I got there. This doesn't happen on the FJR. Anyway, I washed it as soon as I got home, er...as soon as I got the hose thawed out. Utility tube full of hot water did the trick.

Sometimes I buy things just out of curiosity or convenience...doesn't always make financial sense. Edit Having said that, you supply the blank and an original, I'll make you a key...no charge.

Picked up a portable unit a couple years ago, so I cut my own.

The wife and I occasionally rent a house in Maggie Valley. Running stream right outside the window, fireplace, hot tub, quiet little town, but close enough for day trips.
