    Daytona 675

Nice lookin bike! That color looks really cool. I bet it changes a good bit depending on the light.
  2. I had my SMH10 on my Shoei Qwest with the wired mic and it worked amazing. When people would call me, they didn't even know I was on the bike. Now, I have upgraded to a Shoei Neotec, and switched to the boom mic. It took some getting used to, since I always run with a chin curtain, but some trial and error and now it works great. If you're using a full face though, wired mic is a way better setup IMO.
  3. Not really, this has been my first summer of riding on that side of 77 very much. I used to ride 555, 550 towards Athens and back to my house on my way home from work. Now I have added some length to my evening routes since I got my FJR. 50 mile loops after work are now turning into 100-150 mile loops. Its great to work 5 days a week and still get 600-1000 miles in a week. This would have been my second consecutive 600 mile weekend, but I got sunburnt really bad Friday and had to take it easy.
  4. Yes, I rode 145 south to 565, then 260 to 26 and back to Marietta. 145,565,260,26 are some of my go to roads for an after work evening ride.
  5. Rode 78 out of Woodsfield over to 145. That short bit was perfectly clear. I would say stay clear of 800. It has been ground up and under construction.
  6. I would assume you bought something that go handle long distance. I'd say something sport touring, maybe a BMW or FJR?

    Nope

No way in hell. I'll stick to two wheels on the ground.
  8. Decatting the head pipe on those are fun lol. Did you cut open a flap and chisel the insides out?
  9. Yeah rode by myself Friday cause I had stuff to do in the morning. Rode with Wayne and FJRFarrier and some others down to Clay, WV on Saturday. I rode around 600 miles this weekend.
  10. 565, 260, 145 were in good shape this weekend. 26 is showing some age the farther you get away from Marietta. 78 honestly didnt seem too bad from 555 to McConnelsville. 555 is due for a paving IMO.
  11. Sorry to hear about working this weekend. Their will be better weekends...Atleast that's what I tell myself.
  12. The one good thing you can look forward to is someday when your kid(s) get older, you can introduce motorcycling to them and just maybe, they will share the same passion as you. I started my riding at a young age, cause I saw how much fun my dad was having, and man is it fun.
  13. Man, that's a nice route. I'd love to go, but I've already commited to doing some rides at the FJR rally in Mineral Wells, WV this weekend.
  14. Haha I remember see those on my trip to the gap, but didn't stop and take a picture.
  15. The Garmin Motorcycle GPS units have the option for TPMS (Sensors sold separate)
  16. I've seen some places over in that region that do motorcycle tours from San Boldo pass to Stelvio pass. Very nice roads, but man is it pricey.
  17. When I see someone bashing a certain brand or style of bike, I usually try to see why they have these opinions. If it's from experience, I see it as a valid claim, but usually it is just someone's ego. I am a firm believer that all bikes have potential to be great bikes, but it depends on how they are treated and maintained.
  18. It's sad that there are so many motorcycle owners who don't actually ride. I rode by myself this weekend because my buddies wanted to wash their bikes more than riding them.
  19. I've rode this group of roads several times, and they are great roads with little traffic. 56 from Athens to Nelsonville has high water areas often, so be prepared for dirt/mud from the last big rain.
  20. Are you talking about the Ramble at Mineral Wells, WV April 31-May 3?
  21. It's been awhile, probably 5-6 years ago, not too long after I started riding, which is why I probably didn't buy one lol.
  22. I remember these being at Cleveland Motorcycle show and they worked really well.
  23. Yeah I agree. I had a tinted shield on when I rode the BRP and i had to flip up the visor, which caused issues with my contacts. Now contacts are gone(Lasik Eye Surgery) and I have an internal sun visor. They should have never took pre-orders if they were going to take this long though.
  24. I looked at the Bell helmets, and I have rode with a friend's for 20 miles, and I was not impressed. Maybe I'm weird, but it was just overall noisey and I was kinda taken back about the lack of quality of them. Then I noticed the RS-1 is Made in China, which for a company that used to be so proud of their "Made in USA" kinda pushed me away from them. Shoei needs to get their crap together and get that transitions shield out asap. Rumor was their first batch did not meet their safety standards, so they threw them out and started over.
