  1. Hmm. That is odd. I just assumed a GT spec would have a higher load rating. I wasn't a fan of the PR4GTs for their price point or shape characteristics. I know it's a pipe dream, but Michelin needs to get their tires in the same price range as Pirelli, Bridgestone, Dunlop to be competitive IMO.
  2. The spec sheet says the Road 5 load rating for a 180/55 is 73, which is the same as a 180/55 PR4GT load rating.
  3. WD40 vapor is probably just as toxic as Winter Air Vs Summer Air.
  4. I do not run a screen protector. The screen looks as good as it did from day 1. I am pretty good with my phone (knock on wood). My coworker had his S7 Edge bust a screen, and I can say its not cheap. $250 going through Samsung. The Spigen case has a raised lip so you can place the phone face down and the screen won't touch. I've always had good luck with Spigen, so I keep buying their cases.
  5. Well seeing that the plug to the regulator was melted, I would say that would warrant a harness replacement?
  6. So it looks like Michelin has released the replacement for the Pilot Road 4. MICHELIN-CP+Road5+GB.pdf
  7. Haven't even looked at my bike since I got back from the Fall Gap Trip. Kinda just checked out for the year. Weather being shit doesn't help.
  8. I always had good luck with tire shine for inner fenders on dirt bikes. Muck-Off makes something that works really good too, but it's pricey.
  9. No one ever said WD40 worked better than "Real Tire Lube". Just an alternative that works perfectly fine. Anything that can hurt the rubber will evaporate well before causing any issues.
  10. Order a Spigen Slim Armor. I've had one on my LG G2, Note5, and now my S8+
  11. When you get the Z900 and I get a FZ10, were gonna have to do a touring trip on them just to show the people who refuse to tour on their non-touring bike.
  12. WD40 and it's scientists beg to differ. They actually recommend it for some rubber applications. It will simply evaporate over time. For a tire installation, it will work fine. I'm not saying No-Mar Tire Lube isn't a great product, but I've never seen any ill affects of using WD40 to install tires other than being greasy at first. (Changed over 70 tires in the last 12 months)
  13. No Android Auto support sucks. Center stand is $150, and I figure you won't see too many at the dealerships without one. Much like bag liners, they will order them with it.
  14. Yeah, that;s what Dad would want. Touring model, non-DCT. He uses an Iphone, so he can utilize the Apple CarPlay. What I thought was odd is the center stand is an option. I guess that's how you cut costs.
  15. Yep, looks like me and Dad are probably going to bike week for a demo ride. I think he is pretty much sold on it.
  16. Cops are a nature of the beast when riding aggressively on the street. I don't run, I got a ticket this year in northern Ohio. He had his lights on before I went past him. I paid my fun tax and moved on. 21k miles so far this year, and I have had very few encounters where I was worried about cops.
  17. Here's what I got on my $12 wireless charger with some apps running in background.
  18. I use WD40 on every set of tires I change. If you get it on the tread, it's slick for a few miles.
  19. There's a warehouse fire across town from my work. Got sent home yesterday due to the smoke, and got today off as well. Awful slow start to the week.
  20. Just rolled into the driveway. 1403 miles. What a great final trip of the year. Awesome roads and awesome people to enjoy them with. I am already looking forward to the next one.
