  1. The FJR has plenty of lean angle, you just gotta know how to position your body. Hell, I had my FJR at the Gap running a decent clip, barely scraping and I caught a 600rr and the guy was touching knee. Other times, I've been through there putting on a spark show, dragging pegs and canyon cages, just cause I wasn't moving around on the seat. I'm not gonna buy an adventure bike to get more lean angle, that's for sure. I've sat on a couple RTs and it does not hide it's weight well IMO.
  2. Anybody riding SEO? I'm bored, looks to be a nice day. I'm sure someone will venture down for some twisties.
  3. You didn't ride in the torrential downpour Friday afternoon.
  4. There was some times i wish we had the doom of hate this last trip...
  5. I guess devil's advocate would be why ask then. If it's all the same cheap junk, just buy the cheapest and be done. I honestly know nothing about chains, but I'm sure the difference in price between brands isn't astronomical.
  6. @Shoop had his FZ6 at my house for tire changes, and his exhaust is factory, but someone modified them. They are just a perfect amount of rumble. He might have some details on it.
  7. I get my chains from the Stihl dealer. I haven't had a bike with a chain in years but is there really that much savings by going sub-par brand?
  8. I run the tinted shield that is supposed "factory Shoei" from Japan. I might try my clear shield and see if mine still leaks.
  9. OK, so where you going riding tomorrow?
  10. Only gained 2 lbs after the New England trip. Probably gonna hit the gym this weekend and sweat it out.
  11. The real question is where you going riding with it this weekend @Tonik?
  12. You order as many tires as you want, and I'll install them for free, just so we can stop having a damn tire thread.
  13. As an avid Angel GT user, I just went through a set of Roadsmart 3s. I think you will like them. They held their shape the entire life of the tire and stuck just as good as an Angel GT. It was a more aggressive tip in compared to a T30. At 5k miles, the Roadsmart wasn't quite to the wear bars. I had to switch them cause I didn't want to run out of tread on my trip. I bet I could get more than 6k out of a set. For Mileage reference PR4GT (I've ran 1 Set. Fall Gap Trip) Front: 4000 Rear: 7400 T30 EVO GT (On my 2nd Set. WV Trip, New England Trip) Front: 3500 Rear: 3500 Angel GT (Ran 6 or 7 sets on my BMW and FJR) Front:4500 Rear: 4000 RoadSmart 3s (One Set, Ozark Trip)Front: 5000 Rear: 5000 Of course there will always be too many variables. (Road type, Road Temp, Tire Pressure. Bike, Riding Aggressiveness, Riding Style, Bike Load, Suspension Setup, Heat Cycle Count.) The variables are just way too vast to really compare apples to apples.
  14. I'm free this weekend. Let me know when and where and I'll try to be there.
  15. Get to planning that 2017 Fall trip. That's one of my favorite trips.
  16. Officially home. 10 states, 2438 miles, 2 Factory Tours, one historic bridge skywalk, a ferry ride, a mountain summit and countless memories. Another awesome trip is in the books. On to planning the next one.
  17. You can't go wrong with a sport touring tire. They stick just fine and have better wet weather characteristics than a supersport tire. Of course opinions are like assholes. Each tire has it's advantages and disadvantages.
  18. Nova Scotia is definitely on my bucket list. As of right now, Colorado is looking like next year's big trip.
