  1. Today was a great day of riding. Had plenty of issues getting GPS, Sena, and Phone Pairing, but we made it through the day. We stopped at the 421 store for a quick snack and drink.
  2. @thompsonian and I are rolling out of Coolville today for a 3 day Gap trip. Staying in Maggie Valley as the home base. Pictures to follow each day. Below is my SPOT Tracker page. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0L9zhiOcPaABNa01Hc197KqqIcrIQ5QD1
  3. When i first started riding, I was bound determined to go buy a brand new supersport. Called insurance for a qoute beforehand, and they qouted $7k a year. I asked why so high and they said a rider with an endorsement less than a year on a new supersport, they figure they will have to write it off within 3 months. This is the sad truth. I wish I still had my F4i I had when I was 17, just to see how much better I could ride it now, cause back then I didn't have half the skill I do now.
  4. Ain't that the truth. I build digital advertising, and people want an 8.5x11 sheet of paper worth of info on a tiny banner ad. Then when I do it, they say "It looks cluttered". I wonder why....
  5. This is probably the most truthful thing I've read all week. I definitely grew some thicker skin over the last 5 years of working in design.
  6. But a non-supersport bike is designed with more leg room and more forgiving knee angles(ie. lower peg position), which in turn helps taller riders. Much like a naked bike "usually" has more room. There are exceptions of course.
  7. BTW, your height and weight aren't as limiting as your think. I rode a R3 when I was 280 pounds and it had enough power to run a decent pace on twisties.
  8. SMH, a liter bike for a first bike is just asking for trouble. Save yourself some upfront money, and insurance money and avoid a supersport. Look for SV650, FZ6r, F4i, CBR500/650, Ninja 650. These bikes will feel like a rocket ship compared to the 250 at your MSF course. Then take that saved money and invest in good quality gear or accessories towards the bike you chose.
  9. Got one saddlebag packed. Waiting for the load in the dryer to finish the 2nd saddlebag. Saturday morning can't get here soon enough.
  10. Jegs used to have 2 stores. The one in Reynoldsburg got shut down.
  11. After that recent accident with the Subaru and the ambulance, I bet they are patrolling the dragon more right now.
  12. Sygic works great, especially with custom routes made in ITN Converter. I am using a Garmin 590 for the first time this weekend. (Got dad one for Christmas, so we share it)
  13. Even with some wrong turns, we had a great time on the route. Gotta hit blood mountain again this year.
  14. Just finished making the routes for this weekend's Gap trip. For those who have used Garmin Basecamp, you know how bad it sucks. I created my routes with Tyre and it works flawless. It is like an advanced version of ITN Converter.
  15. I honestly have no clue about Ducati timing belts. That stuff is too rich for my blood.
  16. Found all the ram mount pieces to mount my Zumo 590. Just waiting for the Garmin cradle to get here...
  17. Yeah you can chug them like tractors. I've never been a high RPM kinda guy.
  18. Please tell me you bought this
  19. Do you have any positions where you send me stuff to test and I get paid to ride my motorcycle? If so, where do I sign up?
