  1. Thanks making me google to make sure I had the right group for you references gentlemen.
  2. I said sport bike saddle, not Sportster. If I had any photo shop skills I could show you a pic of what I'm thinking, but I can't even post a pic on this forum without first posting to the gallery.
  3. You have an office job, right? There has got to be a chair out there that is designed like a sport bike saddle. If not, it seems there are plenty of crafty guys on this forum that could design one for you. Maybe even possibly make one for you.
  4. $200 for prescriptions or track day. I think I know what you will choose.
  5. I did not get out on Saturday because by time I finished mounting both tires it was snowing up here in no mans land. I did take a quick ride after work today and everything seemed fine to me, even at triple digits.
  6. Can't get pulled over for speeding if they can't see u and the camo duct tape
  7. OK I just checked back in on this and wow. A lot of different ideas out there. To be honest last set of tires I put on were pilot road 2s( no dots marked). I just slapped them on and rode. I ran them up to 172mph on route 11 I never noticed anything. I had read a time or two where people were not balancing there tires on bikes and said it was not a problem. Maybe I have been lucky so far. Time will tell as I am mounting a set of Q3s on my bike today. Watch I'll take it out and the bars will vibrate out of my hands. Hopefully I beat the snow and can give it a test run today. I'll report back. Thanks for the ideas if I have issues. Like the plywood idea @jschaf
  8. So far I have just mounted my tires and just skipped the balance part. I have not had any issues that I have noticed. I may look into the balancer.
  9. Are you balancing your wheels too?
  10. Where did it happen? I saw the rt26 sign in Derek's photo. I'm guessing 800.
  11. I went a few years back. If you're talking at the Q the fact it's small is the only downer. If the little one has never been though I think it would be worth it to see his face light up. Don't forget the ear plugs if you go.
  12. I wouldn't think there would be anything like that at an elementary
  13. I'd tell you, you should have stuck with Honda but I remember your Honda shot a bolt at your ankle. So I guess maybe it's just your luck
  14. I saw a couple of those in my little town last year at the local ice cream shop. They were neat machines. I like it.
  15. Hope nothing was damaged. I've been where you are. I rebuilt a quad top and bottom end because a rod bearing went and never tightened the cam gear down. So I got to redo some of my work and throw more money at it. The said gear came off, wadded up the timing chain and that new shiny piston smacked the valves. Was not 1 of my brightest moments. To top it off I think I broke my helmet when I got off my machine and tossed it 30ft in the air. At least you've kept your cool. Good luck man. I'll be praying it all comes out to be nothing other than a hose replacement.
  16. Jacob I never did the camping thing with my 600rr but I did ride 2000 miles in 4 days last year with a buddy and his Harley tourer. I just explained to him there would be times when I was going to be out of sight for him but I'd wait up at the next route change. He understood and I believe he had just as much fun as I did. I had a blast and l'm sure you will as well. We'll have to get together prior to your trip and put in at least 1 long day in SEO to help make sure your in shape and don't need that whole bottle of aleve.
  17. @TimTheAzn no worries about exact numbers. I was just curious if you knew. I had already pretty much made up my mind on giving the Q3s a shot. I know you and @jacobhawkins speak highly of them and I plan to do some of the same things both of you did last year with both street and track use.
  18. Thanks for the input Tim. It's time for new tires and I think I'm going to give the Q3s a shot. I was running Pilot Road 2s and got about 5000 miles out of them. I think the Q3s are close to the same price. I'm just wondering what to expect for longevity. I guess time will tell.
  19. What kind of street mileage did you get out of Q3s Tim? How fast did you burn through them on the track?
  20. Every time you talk about this deer incident. This is my response
  21. Thanks @FirstYamaha for a great deal on the coat. It was nice to meet you.
