Anyone planning a Dyno day soon or know of anyone local hosting one?
-
Can't help but laugh at lot of these responses. We should all be driving Prius turd slow garbage if we are going to base everything on what's usable on the street..lol.

Any word on another dyno day? -
Congrats! I love that color so much I just picked up an F150 in Lightning Blue...

Is anyone really surprised? You've still got people LEASING cars...lol 144-mo loan is just more people living outside their means, trying to impress people that don't care about them...
-
No point in that at an ECTA event. Unless you stick to Texas or a 1/2-mile event you'll have to cage it over 135mph if Keith Turk and company are involved...lol.
-
Don't lease anything,....pay cash for the Audi...lol
-
My recommendation is don't LEASE EVER! Either save up and pay cash for it, or if you absolutely have to....do as Not Brian suggested and buy one that's 2-years old and taken the price hit on it. Even then, payments are silly....especially on a toy/fun car.
-
So you going to buy it and fix it or what? :gabe:

Nice ride that I actually like a lot! My neighbor has last years with these wheels that I think would look SHARP on yours. When I was shopping a new F150, I was thinking of putting them on it. Not bad for OEM. http://66459d5879444e9839e0-435dc82d2f7910fc235c77bb38474e9a.r18.cf1.rackcdn.com/5LMJJ2LT6HEL03567/b06c78fed47efa577b480521d864f3e4.jpg

Ford Explorer Sport Ford Edge ST VW Tiquan R-Line ($38k new) SQ5 RDX X3 M-sport http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2010/09/011-2011-bmw-x3-paris.jpg As much as I love the high end performance stuff, if you are keeping it long term 10-years+ it just won't be as reliable. Either be prepared to do the maintenance and work yourself out of warranty or keep shopping. -
Problem with those cars since you drive 600-miles+ a WEEK is the fuel tank size (14.5gal). You will be filling it up with fuel every couple days. Any cheap daily driver that's going to be worth a darn for what you want is going to be border line/cheap/boring. Seriously, go drive a Passat. You can get brand new ones or even a slightly used one for very cheap and they come with 99% of the stuff you want at a decent price. 600-700+ miles on a tank of fuel (18.5gal). My drive is longer than I like and I can tell you $40 a week vs $80+ a week adds up. If you are looking at any of those SUV's, that number goes to $60-120+ in just fuel per week. Pay cash for the car, and save on the fuel. Don't end up one of those people paying as much (or more) in fuel than your car payment every month... :fuuuu:

WOW! That's a steal for $650... Nice work on the others also! :fuckyeah:

I can understand why you feel that way but a lot of things have changed in the last 15-20+ years in the automobile world..lol. Based on what other vehicles were produced around that time frame, I'd suggest you give a few other brands a chance. If that were the case, I'd never have given GM a chance yet here I am with my wife loving her 2016 GMC Yukon and I'm not a GM guy AT ALL. +1 AGREED 100%! I can understand that but for as much as you drive you should really consider giving them a second look. The miles and MPG alone would be more than worth it for you. It's nice driving 600+ miles a week on one tank of fuel. Plus, they have almost all the tech you'd want for a DD and at a pretty cheap price if you want something new and a great warranty. If you really want something that can do all that and tow a trailer then I'd suggest getting a Grand Cherokee diesel. High-20/Low-30's HWY and it would cover a lot of your other needs if you don't want a car. However, nothing you look at that's going to be a great daily cruiser with lots of highway miles is going to be racer fun and efficient. Unless you want to pony up the cost of a Tesla..

At least it's not your fault or a ding on your insurance... Really, what year? The old old ones had a few issues but not the later ones. You can't really go wrong with the 1.8/2.0T's. Anything B7/NMS has been a great car. We loved our 2014 TDi SEL and I'm loving my 2018 R-Line for a DD.
-
That's not correct,....GM offers all of that stuff except the 360-camera. What they don't have and should have had for the last 4-years+ is the smart key with push button start.

2018 Passat Brand new for $22-28k, great features, 6yr/72k warranty, 600-Miles+ on a tank, etc. if you’re driving that much a week, you’ll save in gas alone. I get 44mpg straight HWY. plus, even the cheapest one has adaptive cruise control which would prevent another accident like you had... http://www.vw.com/models/passat/section/colors/

I honestly don't think the new RAM looks that great. Aside from the 12" screen on the interior (which is just silly and wanna-be Tesla like) and the claimed largest crew-cab available in the full size class, there is NOTHING drawing me to the RAM. I'm actually a FORD guy but have fallen in love with my wifes Yukon-Denali and the 6.2/A8. Depending what they offer and the new A10, I'd lean towards the Silverado/Sierra at this point. I don't know what it is but this looks great to me...but I'd probably want to lower it...lol http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam/chevrolet/na/us/english/index/vehicles/2019/trucks/silverado-t1-reveal/mov/01-images/2018-silverado-trims-01.jpg?imwidth=1500 +1 LOL...TRUTH! AGREE....you really can't! All are great trucks and MUCH improved over just the last 10-years.

Congrats! I'd never buy another manual after owning my DSG-R. Fun car and the transmission makes it even better for a DD. Just wish I could get a DSG in the US Passat R-Lines.

Hot Rod just went 11.83 in a bone stock 2018 GT Stang
Got-Boost? replied to Geeto67's topic in Passing Lane
I understand your point but you don't even have to do that. It costs you NOTHING to get it for invoice (which is LESS than X-plan). With a couple minutes of haggling, many dealers will sell them for invoice minus hold-back minus rebates. -

Guys, it's a Mustang GT.....no one with half a clue is paying anywhere close to $50k for one. If you aren't getting it for invoice then you haven't bought enough cars, if you aren't getting one for BELOW invoice then you just aren't trying..lol -
Why the hate? It’s Astros not the Rangers..lol
