  1. Apparently they aren't bigger at that particular fuel station.
  2. I am pretty sure he waved thank you. I was standing there when it happened.
  3. I drove to Pendergrass, Georgia for work last year. On my way through Franklin I stopped and purchased a bowl to go. 10/10 would do again. Especially since work picked up the tab. Looking forward to another bowl. I did find a place that will give Cafe Rel a run for its money on crab bisque. Mark's Prime Steakhouse in Ocala, Florida is unbelievably good. Pricey and I was relegated to the bar due to my jeans and t-shirt, but it was really good. I took mom out for dinner and dropped $150 between the two of us. I had one whiskey and she drank Coke. Totes delish, though.
  4. They're also another $10k above the Connie and FJR in MSRP. If 2-up isn't a thing and sticking to the budget is... then I would buy the FJR. If a deal was to be had, I could buy someone's gently-used Concours snce it's still the same thing as the brand new one. Warranty schmarranty. Might as well save myself $12k and buy a garage queen. Honestly, the same goes for the FJR. I could live with manually adjustable clickers on a 1-up sport-tourer and save myself $10k AFTER I dropped $2k on the suspension. Electronically controlled damping and preload is nice, but on the FJR it isn't THAT much better than a quality shock and cartridge setup. A brand new Concours is no more reliable than an older one and the same mostly applies to the FJR. I know you didn't ask for any of the above advice.
  5. Who doesn't love the symphonic acoustics of a big-bore boxer roaring through their neighborhood on a lazy Sunday morning?
  6. I think that is hard-coat anodizing and not black paint.
  7. When I get to take a week and hit the Smokeys I will be staying in Franklin at least a couple nights. Odd hours require odd strategy.
  8. Is Kawi dropping a new Connie next year?
  9. 365 miles for me. Zoomed down 241 to Millersburg and took 60 all the way in. Took a similar route home but by way of 585 through Smithville. Won't make that mistake again. I remember seeing you, B.. except I didn't know it was you. Sorry I didn't check the board when I got to Z'ville.
  10. I do know that KY-7/550/80/421/70 is a fun, winding route that will take you straight to the TN/KY border. Then you can hop on I-81S in to Knoxville Or.. yo u can stay on 70/208 into Hot Springs and take 209 to Clyde and pick up 215 to Lake Toxaway and take US-64 to Franklin for Cafe Rel. Just off the top of my head... 😁
  11. So many options in KY. I will get something built tonight or tomorrow. Do you want to come out in Knoxville or closer to Townsend?
  12. Yep. When/where am I meeting you?
  13. Yep. If it had another inch of ground clearance it would be damn near perfect for sport touring. The pegs touch down on the regular under fastish spirited corners. Not an issue for the most part and it's fairly predictable. More of a nuisance than anything. I still hold fast to the belief that it's begging for shift-assist. It would be phenomenally adept at chasing down CBRs if it had that ace up its sleeve. I wonder if Honda thinks such a setup would hurt DCT sales?
  14. I am hopeful the used market will flood with Covid-boredom purchase motorcycles by the time we are ready for another.
  15. I had a Snickers bar and a Redbull for lunch but this was waiting for me when I got home...

    Gap trip

I wish. I can't get vacation this short notice. Hell, I cant get vacation with 3 months notice.
  18. Rode with @Likwid for a few miles today. Ran into a slew of OR.net miscreants in New Concord. Zoomed past my crash site and came across a white tractor hauling a tanker trailer. Kind of creepy but at least it didn't hit me. Had a pork sundae in Bolivar with Matt and then scurried home before the rest of society rolled out of bed.
