    2019 Gap Trip.

Fuck wifi you stupid fucking nerds. Ride bikes!
  2. For the record, this entire thread was never intended to become a "N2 Bash-a-thon". I appreciate everyone that has commented and the information they have brought to the table. I just feel that Isaac's skillset needs a little more personalized attention than they have to offer in their novice track sessions.
  3. Isaac will be riding with a school that offers a very structured novice class for his first few track days. He is too green for an "open session" novice track day. This post sums up my reasoning. Thank you. I spoke with Tim and he said the same thing about N2 cleaning up their act. I appreciate the heads up with regards to Lean. I will check them out, as well.
  4. Shenanigans afoot around 6:40 mark...
  5. Found the posts. It was a N2 track day. Also found a pic of the rear that passed tech. This little piggy went for a helicopter ride.
  6. Isaac is 19. Thanks, Craig. I would have bet dollars this was N2. There is even a thread on this board about that day. I trust your judgement on this, so I will reconsider my position.
  7. I won't go into anything beyond my personal experiences. It sounds like they either had a bad day, or have since cleaned house with their staff and management. It doesn't really matter at this point. There are too many other quality choices out there. I am glad you had a good time. Looking forward to riding with you this season.
  8. Thanks, Jason. I will look at STT's schedule and get back to you.
  9. I have been to a N2 track day. CBRs with bald tires passing tech inspection? Multiple crashes and a life flight before lunch? Control riders making passes so close they take down other riders? Not happening. Not up for discussion. So, who are the Mid-Ohio instructors on this forum?
  10. Looking to get Isaac onto the race track this season. He has the motorcycle itch and I plan to help him scratch it. He is currently studying for his temporary permit, then he will take the Ohio Basic Rider Course. Pending on his enthusiasm for riding (read: motivation and attitude), I plan on helping him settle into a capable starter bike this spring.
  11. The Ducs always started and ran flawlessly. It was all the little things that were irritating. The Multistrada was pretty much the most brilliant bike I have ever owned. The fuel tank expansion was a drag, but after the warranty replacement it wasn't much of an issue. The fork seals leaked at 15k miles, but after I rebuilt them they were no trouble. The bastard just ate sprockets, though. Really, it was the ST3S that drive in the coffin nails for me. Wouldn't run properly without an O2 manipulator. That only mildly cured the problem, but at least it didn't cough through the airbox on acceleration. It would just randomly stall at idle. The coolant hoses leaked through the seams. I hate the smell of coolant. The fuel tank welds leaked. The list just kept growing and I just lost my love for it. This Yamaha will do well enough after I massage the suspension a bit. I doubt it will compare to the Multistrada, but it will be close enough. I really thought that ST3S was going to be a fantastic bike. Maybe it would have been after I worked out all of the kinks? I am quite alright with not ever knowing. So long, Ducati. ....unless I find a smoking deal on a Panigale.
  12. I should have more riding time this year. We can chat about it at your place this spring.
  13. I agree with you. Gotta go on Friday. That is the only day it doesn't suck.
  14. Isaac and I will be there on Friday. He wants to look at dual sports. I hope he can sit on that little 250 Yamaha with the round headlight.
  15. I am going full retard with the suspension. No half-ass gimmicks.
  16. It's getting Ohlins and I don't have any love left in me for European bikes at the moment. My current situation requires a bike that will start and run without failure or need of a service every other oil change. I am done with all of that nonsense.
  17. That bastard put up a good run, though. It took some riding to catch his tail. That was a fast car. GA-60, north from Suches.
  18. Nothing up top is what kept me alive chasing you in GA and TN. This little 600 should be just as forgiving, hopefully. Hawlin' the mail!
  19. Racetech is for posers. I owned a 2004 before I sold it for the Multistrada. I enjoyed the engine once I stopped lugging it. Too much time on v-twins, I suppose. Glad you are doing well, Tony. I hope to see you soon.
