Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with local Columbus companies for window and sliding glass door replacement? I need 4 windows (they are high quality wood windows) and my sliding glass door (the bottom of the frame is shot, the door is sinking) replaced. I was going to get a bunch of quotes, but wanted to check on here first. Thanks...

Yeah, I want to know this. Are you taking any Glucosamine pills? A couple of years ago I started really feeling some joint pain and stiffness from playing a lot of ice hockey. So I started taking Glucosamine every day and it has really helped out. I don't get nearly as stiff as I used to working out, playing hockey, etc.

Damn, that's a horrible rate from L.A. Fitness. I guess I'm pretty lucky I got the rate I did. Also, when Urban Active switched over to L.A. Fitness, I had to "re-sign" my contract and they told me when my membership was up in November 2013, I could renew for the same price. So I'm hoping I can renew for that same $17 a month for two years this November. I do know that a lot of people had billing issues with Urban Active, especially those that were on month-to-month and canceled. I'm hoping that L.A. Fitness is far better at that. As far as the YMCA at 7:00 AM: It was MUCH less busy. Mostly because, the New Year's Resolution people, most of them are afternoon people. They want to go work out, they do for a while, but very few of them are seriously dedicated to do it before work. Not like the rest of us gym rats that have been doing it for years and it's a part of our day... :nod:

Well then you'll have to wait until next year, or the year after that. In this shortened 48 game schedule, they are only play Western Conference teams. And unless they change the schedule setup (or the Jackets move to the East), they only play the Eastern Conference teams once per year, alternating locations. The Rangers were due to be here this year, had there been a full schedule, so I'm hoping they rectify that for next year. Actually what I really hope is that they move the Jackets to the East and Winnipeg to the West next season. Winnipeg plays in the Southeast division, as they were the Atlanta team. I grew up in New York and I'm a huge Rangers fan, so I'm gonna be super pissed if I don't get to see them here next year...

That's a lot cheaper than it used to be for a single adult. I went to the Powell YMCA from April 2008 until October 2011. The reason I stopped is because they increased rates to like $48 for a single adult. I went over to Urban Active (now L.A. Fitness) and prepaid for 2 years and it cost me $17 a month. Much cheaper, better facility. The only thing the YMCA had that my gym doesn't is an outdoor pool, but I rarely used that anyway. As for the Powell YMCA itself, I normally went around 4:00 - 5:00 and while it was somewhat busy, I never had to wait too long for anything. Don't forget, it's also going to be busier now with the New Year's Resolution people clogging up the floor. They normally clear out in about a month. I really like the YMCA and would not have left, if they could have competed with the rate I got from Urban Active.

My wife and I rented a house on the North Shore (Oahu) for 7 days back in June, split it with my brother and his wife, and the total trip ran us around $5K. :nod: We had a good time, but honestly, a similar vacation in the Caribbean would have been about half the price and MUCH less travel time. You burn a day each way in travel and then there's the time zone differences...

I'm going to back off slightly on my bashing of the weather forecasters. It took until about 7:00 PM, but we finally did get our 6 inches of snow. Thankfully it was on the low end of what they had said we'd get. On the other hand, it was our first significant snow in almost 3 years and I actually had to shovel my driveway....

Weather.com for Powell now says "Steady snow will fall through late afternoon. Cloudy and windy. Temperatures steady in the low 30s. Winds NE at 25 to 30 mph. Additional snowfall of 1 to 2 inches through 5:00pm". Holy prediction reversal...

Intellicast is showing that the snow is moving further north than expected and rain turning to snow. Might not be as bad as they thought. Only sleet here right now in Worthington...

Intellicast says we're getting an inch. Compared to what those north of us are getting, I'll take it. I'm hoping for another winter just like last year. I haven't had to shovel my driveway in 2 years...

I don't go. Never have. I really don't care to socialize with those I work with. Work is work and that's it. I'd rather be home with my family or doing something else.

Agreed. Some of the part time work I do, sometimes I charge this, sometimes more. Depends on the job... :nod:
