So I'm curious: How stressful is it to deal with renters / morons / people breaking shit, etc.? My father did that when he was my age / younger and he always had a hell of time with it. He advised me never to do it. I personally enjoy the stress free life of just sitting on my money in the aggressive funds I manage while making an average of 13+%, compare to say 20% and dealing with renters...

Yup. I was up until about September, then things went to hell. But I've more than made up for it this year. No worries. Back when the market really tanked like maybe 10 years ago, people were freaking out and selling everything and getting into safer investments. I stayed the course and stayed heavy into aggressive funds. Hence my +31% year. "Everybody's selling? Then BUY BUY BUY..."

I've been self managing my 401K and rollover accounts for about 7-8 years now with Vanguard. I'm primarily in their Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund. In those 7-8 years, I've averaged a 13.26% gain each year. The only year that I was down was last year, and it was -4.50%. I've been as high as 23.21% and even 31.53%. I'm up 12.16% already this year. Other than paying off debt, I'd be dumping more money into my investments such as this, if I had an extra $50K.

No way, this one is better:

Man, that really sucks. I have two plans through Collegeadvantage.com and have been over 10% gains in the 7-9 years I've them. I'd be so freaking pissed if that happen to me. So sorry to hear that...

I'm getting about the same amount back, just a few hundred dollars. I've got it pretty well dialed in and have for years.

I got about 4" of snow in southern Delaware county.

NOAA saying 4-8", AccuWeather saying 3-6", WeatherUnderground saying 7", NBC4i saying 4-7", Weather.com saying 6-11", but those fuck sticks are always high. Place your bets! Up in Powell, I'm saying I'll get 5"...

Well if Weather Underground can be believed, they are forecasting 7.2 inches. The NBC4i guy thinks like 3-5". 10TV had it as 2-4" this morning, so it almost looks like it's tracking more north, which moves the snow off a bit. My son has a hockey tournament at Easton all weekend, so I'll be back and forth between there Friday - Sunday, which ought to be interesting...

Bad spoiler, too raspy. Auto only? Please. I'll stick with my dinosaur Terminator Cobra still...

Me too. I'd just jump on because it was a habit. I did miss it for a few months, because of the sports pages I'd follow, but I got over it.

I dropped FB about 18 months ago, great decision. Huge time suck and I got sick of the political bullshit posted nonstop. I only use IG now.

I still have stink bugs in my house and normally do most of the winter. Not a ton, but a few here and there.

There was a moth flying around my garage the other night, I laughed...

For my '86 GT: Finally fix the broken passenger seat. Needs something welded, I just haven't taken the time to find someone that can do it. Possible have the hood painted. It had some sap drip on it last year and some of the paint is peeling off. I'm debating if I should just have that painted or maybe even plasti-dip it since it's supposed to be black anyway. Other than that, I got a lot of the work done this past year to get it back on the road and driveable. For my '03 Cobra: I've got some sort of clutch cable / throw out bearing noise that started late summer. I believe it's just a stretched our clutch cable, so hopefully that will be a quick fix. Other than that, it's tip top! For my '08 G8 GT: I've got a squeaky belt / pulley thing going on. Started right before I put it away for the winter. More of an annoyance than anything. So yeah, I don't have a lot of car goals for 2019, just mostly keep my shit running and fun. However, my 7 year old is big into cars now and wants to go to the drag strip. So I might take one of them. Either the G8 or the '86, probably. Something he can maybe ride along in.

Sorry, forgot to say that one of the times I called, I did talk to Bill. He couldn't tell me anything, referred me to Dean, which was one of the other messages I left.
-
Just a quick update: I talked to Tiffany, she said they would not pay for it, it's something I'd have to cover. I've left 3 messages for Dean and he won't call me back. Boo..

Thanks! Believe it or not, I just got a Recall Notice for something else in the mail yesterday! So good timing, I'll have to drop it off at a dealership anyway...

New rule that will never happen: You can't make the Playoffs if you're not in a Conference. That eliminates ND and their shit schedule...

Will do. Should I also mention you?

Anyone have a good Ford dealer that might do a free TSB? I've been having an issue with my 2013 Ford Fiesta where I get an "Engine Malfunction" error and it throws no codes. The car is drive-able, but hesitates a second or two when pressing the gas. Fortunately for me, it doesn't happen very often, and all I have to do is turn the car off and back on again, and it's gone. After some Google digging, I was able to find a TSB on it, and I'm 99% sure it's the issue I have. However, of course this is a TSB and not a recall. Plus it's a 2013 car with 59K miles on it, not anything new or under the standard warranty. I'd love to get it done for free, but I'm doubting that will happen. Can anyone recommend a course of action here?

I never posted it, however it was Japanese Automotive in Hilliard.

So a friend of mine had a shop replace the clutch in her Civic back in May. She said there was a noise from it upon startup, but she was told that it "would go away" and something about the "clutch keys on the old starter". I don't know much about starters and a little about clutches, so I'm just repeating what she told me. Anyway, she had the car at Honda Marysville yesterday and they told her that it needs a new starter and flywheel due to the starter hitting the flywheel. The noise of course, never went away. They even gave her this video: http://16227.iserviceauto.com/c64cd36fd0aa0ea9df7f7b435a59e34097486258 I've replaced the clutch in my '86 and my Firebird Formula and I've never heard of a noise from the starter if it was done correctly. If you watch the video, there are some other things this shop didn't hook back up. As I said, this first shop is saying that the noise was normal, however I am totally disagreeing with that. To me it sounds like the starter was not in correctly, thus creating a noise and putting marks on the flywheel. Thoughts?
