  1. Oh please explain how this is going to make the storm worse.
  2. I don't like the wheels (style of the wheels and the front offset...you could keep the size, change the look of them and front offset, and that would really make the car complete in my eyes). Beautiful design. Very modern yet still classic in a way. Love it.
  3. Nice jeans, polo, and decent shoes at a minimum. Don't be a slob going in there. It is a sweet place; it's now the place I request every year for my birthday.
  4. Why in the hell are you writing money orders? You know they pretty much give checking accounts away for free, right? A trend I've noticed about people that are really bad with money: - Have no bank account - Love to drive around everywhere to pay their bills - Use money orders It sounds like you need to get your shit in order. If you are paying rent, you need to have some sort of proof of payment, besides some money order stubbs. Just because you don't have a lease doesn't mean you can be kicked out at any time...my renters aren't on a lease, and I can't just evict them this weekend if I wanted to. There are laws that protect renters (a bit too much if you ask me), so do a little research and understand what your rights are. It isn't hard to figure out who owns the house and when it was sold; just go to the auditor's website and look up the information on the house. You will know when it was sold, what taxes were paid, how much the new owner paid, etc. All public domain.
  5. I have owned this for about a year and a half. Have never had a single problem with it. Dobly Digital EX and DTS-ES decoding, 7.1 surround, component video switching, tons of sound field features, etc. Sounds awesome - I could tell a noticable difference between this and the Sony receivor it replaced, with EVERYTHING else being the same. I have been very happy with it, but just ordered a higher end Harmon Kardon unit (I wanted even more toys). Unit does not have a remote...I have never needed it, and I will include a universal remote programmed to it that does the basic functions. I think I saw remotes for it online for about $20. Other other thing worth mentioning is the top of it is dented; it's not bad, but I can take a picture if you are interested in seeing it. I can't sell it until my new unit arrives - hopefully by next Monday at the latest, as all of my stuff connects through the receivor. If you want a nice sounding receivor that has a lot of features and works flawlessly (it is used every day...including right now), this is it. Price: $225
  6. Though my basement has no water intrusion whatsoever, it gets a ton of humidity. We have two running full blast - one that drains to a drain that we are borrowing (that isn't very efficient), and one that has a pretty nice bucket that fills up every 15-20 hours. My guess is it being a large basement with block foundation is the issue; hopefully after I get all of it painted with Drylock Extreme it won't be as humid. Rest of the house is fine.
  7. That's not mine...I saw it eariler today to; may have been a vendor's truck. I have a company vehicle I drive to/from work. It was a WBH Avalanche, they didn't offer the 2002 in WBH, and I wouldn't get one without the body hardware anyway (unless it was an 07+).
  8. I haven't been out to your place, but if I recall correctly, it is in a place that is difficult to make serviceable. I honestly haven't heard anything more about it; sent a tech out and never got any feedback, otherwise I would have pursued it further. I can send my own lead tech out now if you would like. As for Time Warner, we were stuck with them at the condo, and at the new house: - Customer service is HORRIBLE. - I have had to call 4 times now for various back-end problems...and they were not small problems! - They charged me a "transfer" fee after doing some major screw ups I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone for them to resolve, and they never even had to roll a truck. I had to get pissy with them to remove the charge. - Somehow decided to change our caller ID to a different name I can only imagine how bad it would have been if I had let one of their techs into my home...the work the tech did for the last owner was sad to say the least. You know, things like attaching a GROUND to the GROUND BLOCK is always a novel idea, or fittings that are at least semi-correctly installed. And the idiots never even disconnected it at the tap after the last owner disconnected service. But luckily their plant is fairly new in the area, and we haven't had any plant-related issues so far here (had them a number of times at the condo).
  9. 4 monitors + 2 video cards will do it. I have a lot less into it than you would imagine (Black Friday sales FTW). My best friend is wanting to use it to do some stuff with his drive way (edging and such). I am doing the front for now, the side and back will stay for a bit. If I decide to pull those, I will let you know. I was mowing with the borrowed 60" Exmark zero turn...boy do I miss it. Powell-ish area. Yeah, a projector would suck ass in that room. I have been around enough projectors that I will never have one as my main TV; they belong in a theater room IMO.
  10. My wife decided that we could make use of the fridge if I repair it, so for now that is off the market. The microwave and dishwasher are still a go to the first person here with cash. If we can't fix it, then the fridge will be back for sale.
  11. PM - we have plenty of space in the basement for a beer fridge; if it can be fixed cheap and easy, I'm all for it.
  12. There will NEVER be a projector in that room. When we finish the basement, I will do a projector down there. We want to replace the 50" with a 65-72" DLP...but money is bit tight right now. I just bought that one, got it on the cheap...54" deck. Hopefully I can upgrade to a Zero Turn in a year or two. Nope; my wife and I make a decent living, but shit ton is not even close. I should hopefully have two, maybe all 3 if I can manage it, in the shed this week. A little more work to do around it and it should be ready. I at least want the quads in there.
  13. 1, 3, 5 are all good reasons NOT to buy that car. Ferrari V8 + daily driver = repair and maintenance nightmear tears. And the Ferrari V8 can't hold a candle to the CTS-V's power. Sure it would be nice, but IMO a Ferrari motor belongs in, oddly enough, a Ferrari. A car that is a Sunday driver / track car...not a daily.
  14. It will in a couple of years...we want to build a shop that matches the house behind the house. The current garage isn't bad...double deep on one side, and though we haven't tried it yet, looks like there will be enough room for the boat, Audi, and my Formula. Will have to pull the Audi out to work on the Formula, but enough space to do what we need to.
  15. They never showed the interior...I have a feeling it doesn't look anything like the Lambo. That said, the kit looks pretty damn good, but how ungodly expensive would it be to have a shop put that together and make it look/perform well?
  16. The whole gallery is here: http://img190.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=dsc01745w.jpg We bought a forclosed home, and just moved in a couple of weeks ago. We had to do a lot of work, and sink some cash into it, but well worth the effort. Still a lot more work to do, but has come along enough that I can at least take some pictures as several people have been requesting from me. Below are a few highlight pictures. 3200+ sq/ft (not including the unfinished basement). The basement was finished when built, but the last owner must have had the sump pump fail, and just tore all the carpet and drywall out, and kept the insurance money - that was sure nice of him. 2 acres, 2.5 car garage, 3 bedroom, 2 full and 2 half baths. Situatated in a neighborhood that consists of 1-2 acre lots, and is in a cul-de-sac. We love it! 2-story ceilings in the foyer and living room. Vaulted ceiling in the office, and raised ceiling in the 1st floor master. 9' ceilings everywhere else on the first floor...finally a house my tall ass doesn't feel so tall in. http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/9741/dsc01730ufx.jpg That round thing in front is supposed to be a fountain - it will be again, one day http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/213/dsc01729e.jpg Property extends all the way back to the far tree line. I am in the process of removing that stupid fence. http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/9359/dsc01737k.jpg http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/593/dsc01740q.jpg http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/5033/dsc01690oep.jpg http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/8015/dsc01691s.jpg http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/7310/dsc01714wdv.jpg http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/312/dsc01708v.jpg
  17. I may once I get the trailer fixed...I'm willing to go to Alum during a week day. Probably do some tubing, as I haven't got to yet this year.
  18. I like the RS4, and my wife even owns an A4, but the CTS-V is a way better daily driver: - Roomier - More comfortable - More luxury oriented Yet: - WAY more power and power potential You can say AWD all you want, but it's not needed in Ohio. Hell, I drove my Firebird years ago through a bad snow year with snow tires, and was getting around way better than all of these front drivers people buy because they are "good in the snow." No traction control, no weight added to the back, just snow tires.
  19. Just give me a call, I should be available most of this week. Also, check this website out: http://www.piranha.com/ I have been running this prop for about a year and a half now...a MUST have. Performs better than an aluminum prop, and 3 blades are cheaper than getting an aluminum prop repaired (and they are never the same when you have them repaired either). Much easier to store the blades on the boat than a full prop. Initial cost over a new prop to get going with 3 blades and the hub kit will be $30-50 more, but I easily saved that money back already, and wish I had done it years ago. Lots of shallow spots in Ohio!
  20. Let the Fridge run for 24 hours...it won't cool. Lights work, blower is working, don't know what the deal is. Didn't try the water since the feed line was busted and the water was shut off, and I didn't fix that until I put the new fridge in. Issue could be a cheap fix or a pricey one...I don't know, and have way too many projects to even consider finding out. Bart - if you are interested in the fridge, PM me when you are available, and come get it.
  21. We purchased a foreclosed home, and swapped out the appliances for stainless steel units. For sale are the following: Edit: Fridge no longer for sale until I look into repairing it myself...wife decided she wants to keep it if I can fix it. Dishwasher and microwave still for sale. Frigidaire Over the Range Microwave: I turned it on and looks like it works fine. Inside is clean, outside is uber-greasy...looks like the last owner likes to cook a lot of greasy stuff. ISSUES: Missing round glass tray inside (but has the turning stand for it), and bottom of door handle is broken. Price: $40 Frigidaire Dish Washer: I turned it on for a couple of minutes, everything seems to work on it. No known issues, other than could use a bit of cleanup. Ultraquiet III series - Lowes seems to still sell a very similar model. Price: $125 The house was built in 2003, so the appliances can't be older than that, but there is evidence they may be a 2006-2007 purchase. We also have a matching Frigidaire Range, but it is a slide-in (which are EXPENSIVE) and the exact model is still being sold at Lowes for about $1300...we would have to get about 1k to consider it, otherwise I'm looking into gettting stainless panels for it. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2674 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2675
  22. My tax dollars hard at work. But I'd rather see my dollars go to that rather than some ghetto momma and her 8 kids.
  23. You will also be able to finance a new car cheaper/easier than a used car as well, making the cost of the CTS-V even less. You would definetly want snow tires, but otherwise should be fine with the car.
