Seriously?!!
  2. I'm mixed on Jet Boats. SeaDoo offers their version of a wakeboard boat...twin engine, tower, 1000lb balast tank, perfect pass...I mean, if it were a V-drive, it would be a real wakeboard boat. Funny thing is, Sea Doo's wakeboard boat costs the same new as a REAL wakeboard boat (and their own literature states the wake isn't as good as a V-drive), yet charge the same money. That said, a Jet-Boat is still a consideration, but I think the lack of V8 rumble won't please me.
  3. I wasn't paying much attention at first, and I was like "WTF." Then I noticed it was all multiples of 9 had the same answer, and felt let down.
  4. I've had the AAA Plus for years. My mom gets it for me every Christmas, but she said the price has went up recently. I've maxed out the 4 tows before, and have gotten a lot of use out of it in the past. I've been towed from the track twice with it. 75 mile limit. But lately, I don't know if I need to keep it or not. I only used it once last year, and not at all this year. Probably will still keep it; nice to know I have it. They WON'T cover trailers though. Blew the tire out on my boat trailer last year, no spare, and nothing they could do for me.
  5. The drive is easy: If the motor is in the back of the boat, it is a V-drive. If you have to walk around the motor, it is an I-drive. That Sunsetter is very likely an I-drive.
  6. Don't know them, but I've never had issues with off-brand media before. I just didn't research that my burner wasn't compatible with them yet; others have used them with success.
  7. Brand: TW USA BD-R 2x Single layer, 25GB discs. 25 discs on a spindle. I found out they weren't compatiable with my LG Burner...it is thought to be a firmware issue with my burner, as it is new and LG hasn't updated the firmware yet. I'd rather sell these now while they are still valuable rather than sit on them. Also willing to trade for different brand BD-R media if you have any. Price: $60, uber firm. PLEASE find me anywhere that I could buy a 25 pack of BD-R's for less than $60. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2945
  8. Big tax return = money to pay off Avalanche = money for boat payment.
  9. KLH Speakers: These are older-school, and I am willing to separate. The large units are 4-ways, KLH 9154, with 15” subs. The bookshelves are 3-ways, 6.5” woofer, and also come with wall-mounts (had them wall mounted for years). The center channel is the “Platinum” series, KLH 941. I am actually still using that speaker in my current home theater until I can find a good deal on a Yamaha NS-C444 center channel. They all honestly sound a lot better than you would think a lower-brand speaker would sound. All work great, a few nicks and such, but still presentable. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2936 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2935 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2932 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2933 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2934 Prices: 9154 = SOLD!!! 900B = SOLD!! 941 = SOLD!!
  10. Philips HTS3151D Surround Sound system w/ DVD: This thing is in its box (which I could never get to fit back into right) and was only used a few times. Was a Black Friday purchase as a 2nd room unit, and I never really used it. Sounds pretty good for a mini-system. Specs: 5.1 surround, 300W, iPod Dock (works great), DivX certified, MP3 Line-In http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2937 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2938 Price: $100 I have researched this price a lot; cheapest I have found is a dude selling refurbs for $117 shipped, but his ratings have shown his refurbs to be hit-and-miss. Otherwise, they have all been more expensive yet, or are damaged/missing items. This unit is mint.
  11. Pioneer SX-316 surround sounds system w/ speakers and DVD player: This was my wife’s previous surround sound setup, purchased as a package. Whole setup is in mint condition (5 speakers + sub, receiver, and DVD player). Specs: 5.1, DTS and Dolby Digital, 100W x 6, optical input, DVD has component video output. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2939 Price: $200
  12. Sony STR-DE825: This unit is what the AVR I am selling replaced. I used it for years, and was an awesome receiver. Sound isn’t quite as good as the AVR, but there is a reason the AVR is a lot more expensive. Specs: 5.1 channel, 100wx5, Dolby Digital, composite video switching, optical inputs/output. Remote is pretty cool with this unit as well. The power button on the unit is broken (I’ve tried repairing it, the plastic is broke); you can either stick your finger in the hole to power it up, or simply use the remote. Lots of sound fields to play with, you can set speaker sizes/distances, etc. Has barely been used the past couple of years. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2943 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2940 Price: SOLD
  13. This is a combination of my wife and I both liking electronics, both owning seperate homes at one time, and upgrading to bigger/better stuff. We really need to lighten the collection...a LOT. Low ballers need not respond – I want to sell, but I am not giving this stuff away. Harmon Kardon AVR-235: Was my main surround unit for a couple of years, just recently replaced with an even better Harmon Kardon. I love it, works flawlessly. I will keep it before even considering a low-ball offer. Specs: 7.1 Channel, 50W x 7 (and you can crank it up without hearing distortion), DTS-ES, Dolby Digital EX, Logic 7, Component Video switching, and your standard list of features. Remote is MIA, but I have a universal that will do all of the day-to-day stuff, and everything can be setup via the front panel (speaker distances, crossover points, speaker size/sound levels, etc. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2931 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2930 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=168&pictureid=2944 Price: $235
  14. +1 Seriously, some people need to quit worrying so much about stupid, little shit.
  15. I went on vacation to Mexico, and ordered rotors/pads online (from two different vendors...those that had the cheapest prices) before I left, so I could have them this week to do my brakes. While gone, my rotor order got cancelled I come to find out, because they weren't in stock. Sweet. I ordered the Brembo 27161 front rotors for my Avalanche (02, 1500, Z71, G80 axle, dual piston caliper). Price was $100.90 shipped, if they freaking had them. These rotors are vented, non-drilled/slotted. I wanted a high-quality rotor (keep warping the Auto-Zone specials), without paying $100+ each for them. ANYONE carry these locally that can get them in for a similar price this week? My Hawk Super Duty pads are arriving today. I need to get the brakes done this week. If you have a HIGH QUALITY alternative for similar money, I am all ears as well. But I need ot be able to pick this up THIS WEEK. I prefer a north side retailer, since I live in the Powell area, but will drive if need be. I was considering going more expensive on the brake setup, but can't justify it right now.
  16. Only a few of the 90's Natiques are V-drives (I think only the Super Sport), and seem to be pricey for a mid-90's boat (they used that hull for a long time, which is probably why they kept their value). I'd personally rather go 2000 or newer. I'm not in the market yet, but should hopefully be next spring.
  17. Hmmm, never seen the Bassroom, but I assumed something like that was out there. Not sure if the wife would be convinced to just buy that. It's her money too, and she doesn't give a shit about wakeboarding (likes to watch, but that's about it). I found the X-55 also comes with a head, but the price is not dis-similar from the X-80. I know that Supra, even in the described condition, would got for the mid 30k range on E-bay.
  18. I have a 1989 17' (well, 16'9") Sea Ray. Open Bow, 3.0L Mercrusier, Alpha 1 outdrive. I bought it back in 2000, and sunk my fair share of money into it (well, wouldn't have been much until the motor let go, then put a new crate motor in it). She runs great, but we have outgrown her in both size and use. If things line up correctly, we are thinking of a new boat next spring. By new, I mean used. My wife wants an open bow, noticably bigger than our current boat, and a toilet. I want a WAKEBOARD BOAT (20' or bigger). V-drive, tower, ballast tanks...a real wakeboard boat. I drool over them...a 42' Baja doing 80 MPH on the water doesn't impress me like a nice X-Star, Malibu LSV, etc. Our budget will likely be 20k. I can get into a mid 2000's I-drive w/ a tower for that, but neither she or I want an I-drive. V-drive, I can get into an early 2000 for around that if looking hard; likely a Moomba, Geeko, or a local Malibu as most of the local wakeboard boats are Malibus. Maybe a 2000-2001 Tige or Centurion if I look as well (I will be willing to travel far to get a boat). Natiques and Mastercrafts are too much at that age. But what can I get with a place for her to take a leak? It will be her money in the boat as well, and this is something she is pretty firm on (some days she likes just laying in the boat and not going on shore or in the water to use the restroom). Sure, toilets on a closed bow boat are a dime a dozen - open bow is much harder, and really hard to find on a wakeboard boat (X-80 is the only one I know that has it, but that's over 100k new, 28', dual motor bad-ass monster I can't come close to affording). My other choice was finding a standard I/O open bow, and tossing on an aftermarket tower and ballast tanks. It won't perform as well, but I will have a lot more selection, and regular I/O boats depreciate a LOT more than a wakeboard boat, so I could get into more boat for the money. I could likely find one with a damn toilet in it too, lol. Any boat suggestions? We won't consider a closed bow boat (I've been on plenty). V8 and EFI are a must, though anything worth buying 2000+ will have that anyway. I am really looking for model suggestions to start my researching.
  19. I took two weeks off, last week was Mexico, and this week I have nothing planned other than work around the house (plenty of that), or start working on the Formula. The wife is working, so I figure if anyone was interested, maybe go riding Wed, Thurs, or Friday. Could do next Monday too, since I have that day off. If interested, post in here or PM me. I have a trailer if we need to hold multiple quads; I can fit 4 on it pretty easily, and could probably cram 5 + one in the bed of my Avalanche if needed.
  20. This is the reason I sold my bike years ago. I knew eventually something bad would happen. I never once carried a passenger...I didn't want the responsibility. My wife isn't one to tell me what to do, but she has made it very clear that she doesn't want me to ever get a bike. I am totally cool with that (still have my quad, and she has one of her own, so good enough). I just told her I need an Aerial Atom some day to fill in for a motorcycle.
  21. Wow, I just finished reading the two build threads. GREAT work. You never answered if the Dynomat really helped with the sound issues.
  22. A lot of those look easily restoreable.
  23. I'd invest every penny. And why the fuck would anyone continue to work (okay, maybe on 3 million, but on 10+ million??!!!). Work would be lucky if I called and said I quit. I'd likely start by paying off all debt, but would then replenish that money spent from the initial winnings back into my investment pool. Keep living off that interest, and depending on what I was earning monthly, perhaps take some of that interest income and invest it in higher-risk investments...lose, no biggie. Win, you become ever richer.
  24. My wife and I were at the Polaris Parkway / 23 instersection. I was in the left westbound lane, stopped at the light. Heading north on 23 was a red 90's Olds something or other 2-door car. In the turn lane on 23 southbound turning left was a silver late 90's 4-door S-Blazer. The Blazer turns left right in front of the Olds, and gets T-boned. When it gets hit, the dog that was in the back seat of the Blazer flys out the open window. Luckily, the Blazer didn't hit it...it landed on the ground hard, got up and was walking around find. Some gray, scraggly looking 40ish pound dog. The driver of the Blazer was some old-ass dude with a cane, with his I am guessing 40-ish son. Guy in the Olds was in his 50's and shook up / pissed. I call 911, but someone already had. I pull my truck to the berm, and stayed as a witness. I didn't check on the people in the accident since they all got out of their cars themselves right away. Impact was probably at 20-30MPH (Olds hit his brakes). Luckily I stayed as a witness, as the trooper told me the dude in the Blazer was claiming he had the yellow light and the other guy should have been stopped (total lie). I left my witness statement, so that probably made life easier for the guy in the Olds, who ended up going to the hospital. State Trooper response was very fast...I'd say less than 2 minutes and they were there...actually, response in general from the fire dept., and other troopers was very impressive. The dog flying out of the window was priceless / sad (I saw it in almost slow-motion). At least it was uninjured.
  25. I've heard you can score the 5.3's for a few hundred bucks. They are the dime-a-doze LSx motors put in a variety of trucks (my Avalanche has one). Great, reliable motor...122k on mine, and only thing I've ever done is oil changes and plugs/wires @ 100k.
