Car already has Flowmaster catless H-pipe and catback. Trying to repair an exhaust leak at the passenger side collector, snapped off a studd (bolt was f'ed badly). Well, now it leaks just as much. If I'm going to pull the manifolds to fix the problem, might as well just put headers on. I just need something CHEAP. This is for repair, not really performance. I just don't believe it putting stock parts back on a car that can be reasonably upgraded. This car will never be fast, so I'm not worried if I would only gain .2HP from tossing on some shorties.

Trust me, that's not a bad thing (work phone is Sprint, personal is Verizon, and I wouldn't trade my Verizon for a Sprint phone even if the service was free). Scott, make sure to upgrade to the Verizon service plan. Trust me, you can get your money back out of that plan. smile.gif

That would be a good deal even with a blown motor. Of course you'd have to spend some money de-ricing it and tossing in a V8, but the overall cost would be quite reasonable.

Race rules for this stupid show But for a quick rundown of the classes: FWD QUICK 8 HEADS UP: 4-banger FWD only. No rotary or air-cooled setups, must be of OE origin in US or abroad. Means Honda boys can't even run a Dart block. STREET CLASS QUICK 8 HEADS UP: Any 4 or 6 banger, 2 or 3 rotor, stock-style driveline, any power adder, DOT tires. A GTP may or may not be allowed in this class, since the retards can't make a clear ruling for it. The best they give is some examples: "Examples of bodies acceptable for competition: Any Import car body, Focus, Cavalier, Sunfire, Neon, and other similar bodies." If that's the case, than a guy w/ a full-bodied import wouldn't be allowed to run either (say, Lexus IS300 owner), but you know that's not the case. ALL MOTOR QUICK 4 HEADS UP: N/A only, 4,5,6 cylinder or 2/3 rotor motors only. Domestics have to be 4 bangers only (wow, that's sure fair). Guess you can't run a 3 banger metro in this class. Same body restrictions as above BRACKET CLASSES: All FWD/AWD domestics could run in this class, no RWD domestics. Only import motorcycles allowed. Lame.

Nice, but unless you want a piece to sit in a show-room, or to strictly trailer to car shows, it isn't a car you want. This many years w/ so few miles has probably resulted in some rotten seals. Also, every mile would take big chunks away from its value.

Wow, if you had just minimum coverage in OH (like your average drunk-driving Safe Auto Insurance driver), it wouldn't come close to covering the damages. That's gotta be 100k+ for everything. 202k on my Moostang, nice reliable daily driver. My brothers (dad gave it to him, bought it new) GMC Safari has 307k+ on it, orig. tranny, rear end, and bone stock internals motor. Don't spread that Japanese are the only reliable cars crap.
