My g/f goes to Otter and lives on campus. Where that the girl in the above story (it's on NBC too), and where the guy was shot is where she used to park her car until she moved to her apt. recently. It's definately a more secluded parking lot, so I could see that happening. I guess these same guys have also mugged some people in the campus center parking lot as well (well, at least it was 3-4 black guys w/ a gun, could be someone else, but I'd assume the same group). Those are the kind of people that deserve a slow, painful death.

GM owned Geo, and I don't hold that against them. Most companies are just owned by a larger company. But ZEX is the ricer's choice in nitrous brands (sorry, NAWWWSSZZZZ or NOS for the idiots). Way too many good brands out there to be a ZEX supporter.

So basically more boost, better flowing exhaust/intake, probably some tuning involved, DR's, and some spray. No one has really taken a new Z06 to the track like this car has. There have been multiple 02-04 Z06's that have been in the high 11's, so saying the 06 runs 11.9's......no. Maybe it is just me, but I'm not a big fan of driving an 80k+ car as a daily driver. If my budget allowed such things, I'd surely have another car to be my fast car. If you can afford that for your daily, you most definately can afford another car to build up, so IMO it's not really all that great of a point. Braking wise, the Benz and Z06 have fairly similar sized brakes. But the Z06 is almost 1000lbs LIGHTER and has significantly wider tires front and rear, and a good weight distribution. I'll let anyone with some common sense take a guess which car should have some significantly better braking numbers. We can allows that same thought process on handling; 1000lbs and far wider tires alone (245/265 vs. 275/325 widths respectively) is quite an advantage too without ever looking at anything else. And I'd think Eric of all people would be bowing down to Z06 in comparison simply because it comes w/ a dry-sump oiling setup stock and a manual tranny. I'll take the Z06 w/ a cam swap (which I guarantee will be far cheaper than the headers on that Benz), MT DR's, and a safe 200-250 shot. smile.gif Have less money in mods than that Benz, the car + mods would still be significantly cheaper than that Benz's base price, and the outcome would not exactly be equal. tongue.gif

WOW, talk about a news station covering OLD NEWS. I saw that guy doing all of that a while ago on Discovery Health. It had his whole story and everything on it, about a 1/2 hour dedicated to him.

Most of Pickerington is serviced only by Insight. We (WOW) service a bit of it. Can't say I have ANYTHING positive to say about bandwidth. And from what I gather, Insight leases their bandwidth (going outside of their network) through Time Warner, so it shouldn't be surprising Insight has slower speeds.

You are smoking some bad crack if you think that car in the video is stock. Compared stock for stock, the new Z06 (besides being about 10k cheaper when fully loaded) will most definately outhandle, outbrake, out accelerate that car, period.

Even buying a brand new NSX and having that done by a top-notch body place, it would still be less than a used F50. Of course, this car clearly LOOKS like a fake Ferrari. Might as well have saved some money and used a Fiero.

Those people involved were all driving WWWWAAAYYYY too fast. Come on now, at night, you KNOW they saw brake lights. Cones were already up, so they KNOW it is a construction zone. I can see something like that happening in certain cases, but this definately isn't one of them. And how the hell did the Mustang not see the van. Didn't look like he even tried to swerve out of the way.

Camry's are not show car's. They are reliable A to B cars, period. They are designed to be as boring as possible, so people DON'T look at them, and don't mod them. They are supposed to just blend in with everything else.

The song itself is so-so, it seems to steal off a lot of popular "trendy" lighter rock songs. The lead singer sucks though; off key, and doesn't get away w/ it because he doesn't have any sort of unique voice. As for the lyrics......I wasn't paying attention.

I'd rather have the SRT10. Actually, I'd rather have my slow Moostang than that overpowered turd on wheels. IMO that video doesn't really show much; it looks like the truck isn't racing a lot of the time, or just hitting the gas then letting out of it.

Who in the hell mentioned Pep Boys?? It's a Camry; go put the stock stuff back on, sell those coilovers, and invest the money elsewhere. Best advice I can give.

They should have taken the handles off an Accord, right?? BTW, it's Camaro. And that gov't "BS" is to ensure safe cars are being produced for the road. The only reason they are avoiding that is because the car would even be MORE expensive if it had to pass those inspections and crash tests.
