  1. Nothing is in my driver's seat except the 5-point harness. Damn harness. I also don't post from my car.
  2. WOW has nothing to do with Road Runner. NOTHING. We offer a number of HD channels: - CBS HD - NBC HD - OSU HD - UPN HD - HD Net - HD Movie Channel - Discovery HD - ESPN HD - Wealth HD - HBO East HD - Cinemax East HD - Starz East HD Of course that lineup will keep growing as well. I will say if the competition has to price match/price beat by droping their normal prices to get business, that's saying something..... Our new phone service has been taking off like mad; I've had a ton of customers tell me no one could touch our prices w/ the bundled phone/cable/internet. I'm not a sales person, so I don't keep track of what the competition is charging or every little package price we have going on. But if the customers are saying we are cheaper after price shopping......... When comparing Digital Cable services, we are the only ones that offer the Starz/Encore channels as part of the package. And IMO, Starz/Encore tend to play a better variety of movies than HBO/Showtime/Cinemax do individually (and I have all the premiums, so I can fairly compare). So having the Starz package adds a lot more value to the digital lineup than what the competition is offering. We offer 4 speeds of internet too; 112k, 500k, 4Mbps, 6Mbps. I normally suggest 500k for the average user, 4Mbps for the heavy user/downloader, and 6Mbps for the heavy online gamer/LAN party guys/people needing the very max in bandwidth. As for good package pricing, you can get basic telephone (unlimited local and long distance included), 4Mbps intenet service, and digital cable for $117.99. I looked on Warners website; they don't list prices on their site, so it makes it hard to compare. I did look at their HD lineup; they offer 4 channels we don't in HD - Showtime, TNT, INHD, and INHD too......BUT, they don't offer Starz HD, Cinemax HD, or Wealth HD, so it pretty much evens out.
  3. Buzz decided to go for an LS2 block on his 427 Z06. I believe he said it is slightly stronger than the LS6 block....dunno how true that is though. As for stock bottom ends (which is a totally different subject than block strenght), I'd assume similar power tolerance. Compression ratio is close enough, both run hyperpathetic pistons and powdered metal rods. I'd guestimate it would be similar, and one holding more than the other over a long period of time would probably be more to do with tuning/care/luck of the draw than one shortblock being consistantly stronger than the other.
  4. You need better tires. Nitto DR's = great sticky tires for the street, but not the most optimal tire for the track. Try a set of Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. Everyone seems to be having really good luck w/ those. It seems to be the new DOT tire of choice (many say they hook better than ET Streets....too bad they don't make the same size DR that I have in my ET Street's or I would have to consider a pair).
  5. The big thing w/ 4th Gen F-body's running LT1's and LS1's is the fastest records on a stock-style suspension (torque arm, no rear coilovers, stock suspension mounting points except you can move the TA front mount off the tranny and onto the frame). Pretty much all the 4-link/tubbed cars just run BBC's or Gen-I SBC's, which a lot of that has to do with money and the classes they race in. Well, the LT1 record has been broken again: 8.21 @ 170.3 Here's a better video of his original record breaking run at the end of last season: 8.35@168.45 Last years pass was on his old motor setup that was orginally designed as a nitrous setup but swapped pistons for low compression, and was running more boost to get that timeslip. This year has better heads and some other changes, and is definately not maxed out HP wise (last years run was 200RWHP shy of what they peaked out at on their highest boost run). They are hoping for 7.7's @ 18x this year, and I bet they'll hit it!
  6. You could tell he is a dickhead boss, but she is still retarded for saying that, whether he is a cool boss or not.....if she can't handle being drunk, she shouldn't have been drunk!
  7. Something like that is why I no longer have my Blazer. I was slowing for a stop light. Guy behind me I "believe" (don't know for sure) was sporting a cell phone and not watching the road. I was doing about 20, he rear ends me at 50 and even w/ my foot on the brake HARD he accellerated me into the vehicle in front of me. But these things can work out. I got more for my Blazer than it was worth from the guy's insurance company, and other than a sore neck for a few days, I was no worse for wear. Hopefully your luck will be similar.
  8. I doubt you are sitting in your car posting. smile.gif Just your regular ol' LT1. But you might want to see what you can do behind the wheel of that car before getting all cocky; launching an auto w/ spray != launching a manual w/ spray; not even close.
  9. I just hope they throw the book at him. But I'm sure the kid will just get a slap on the wrist, a 2 week grounding, and back into another BMW.
  10. I didn't really like Oceans 11, so I passed on watching 12. Hell, I could have watched 12 for free on the plane ride to Vegas, and still passed on it and just read a magazine.
  11. I'm assuming the car isn't coming w/ a tranny/engine/pcm because that will be going into the FD??
  12. Friend of mine had a T-shirt years ago w/ a "Goodbye Kitty" on the front, w/ the kitty sitting down, holding a gun to his head in one hand, and writing his suicide note in the other. That shirt was awesome; wish I woulda bought one.
  13. No, what's under the hood makes in a POS. Stupid rotary.........
  14. I see this heading downhill....kitchen time.
  15. I see this heading downhill....kitchen time.
  16. Read my reply I left on your thread on COFBA. BTW, WOW > TW. True story. smile.gif
  17. To use sig pics in this thread..... http://columbusracinghosting.com/ahsieh/sigs/1drz06.jpg > http://www.portal.conceptual-x.com/andy/essig.jpg True story.
  18. That Camaro may have been 500HP at the flywheel, but I doubt it at the wheels. Doesn't surprise me vs. a car w/ 601HP at the wheels on 30psi which was racing at 35psi; it probably had a good 200HP advantage to the ground!
  19. Want to know what's f'ed up. I leave Vegas this VERY early morning, and it is in the 70's. I get here and it is freaking snowing.
  20. I did that with my Blazer too.....it's funny watching people try to flag you down because you are rolling smoke off the back of your vehicle.

    Big p*ssy

I'd love to see someone try to car jack THAT car!! Theif walks up, points gun, never looks in. Driver gets out with a smile. Crook gets in, and obviously would be pointing gun toward the driver who got out, not into the car. Theif then finds out he isn't alone, and kitty is pissed. That would be a precious moment.
  22. No one ever gave me a car, and never paid for my upkeep/insurance/etc. About the most help I got was parents co-signing one loan, getting another under their name, and loaning me a few hundred bucks (all for different car purchases, all paid back quickly in full and HELPING their credit in the end). You will respect a vehicle far more if you earn it yourself. Your first vehicle should also be a POS.
  23. If that is the same one that was at Jegs last evening (I was there early), that car sounds like total ass.
  24. I'll make sure to shed a tear for your comments. But T-shirts and jeans are not proper safety gear and you know it. But hey, it's your skin, not mine. smile.gif
  25. It's always nice to see people doing stunts on bikes while not wearing proper safety gear. graemlins/thumb.gif
