Why don't we all just meet over at Ask @ 9:30?
-
I have to weld on support brackets first. I don't see me getting to that project until next year. Plus I want to replace the wood I put in and put thicker stuff in its place.

Did our second night in a row of wine tasting @ Kroger last night (it was an Italian theme last night). Then went to the Tavern for a couple beers and bland food. Followed by a 1/2 bottle of Merlot. Will probably go back for another wine tasting on Monday evening.

The Ego has Landed, World Rejects Obama: Chicago Out in First Round.
Nitrousbird replied to AWW$HEEET's topic in Dumpster
Obama and McCain both sucked, and the rest had no chance of getting voted in. True story. The gov't today is about self-serving interests, and finding ways to line their pockets. We are taxed to death, yet basic things still are short changed. I pay federal, state, city, school income, property, and sales taxes. That's a LOT of taxing, and you don't get a lot for it. Until America as a whole can get with the program of "do we really need this? No, then let's cut that program" we will continue to be in this downward spiral. We need to leave the "war" and needed to do so years ago. Keep our nose out of the business of other countries. We need to focus on paying off our debts, and having a surpluss of money again. And that surpluss needs SAVED and not spent, so that if something does happen, we have the money to take care of it. You would think all of this would be common sense, but it obviously isn't. Look at all the tards with a 50k/year family incomes buying 300k homes. But it was the "evil lenders." No, it's you not doing some simple freaking math. -
I don't really see the point. WTF could I do with that thing? Can't do trails or jumps with the thing. So hard to control that a much less powerful quad would probably outrun it. Maybe, just maybe, it could be interesting in sand dunes with the right tires, but I doubt it.

Wasn't the car still under warranty?
-
I can get about 5 quads on my trailer, so I'd have room.

Mine has been to Wayne a number of times. Only recently did it get an OVR sticker; that said, it did get checked on the 4th of July holiday to see if it had one. Never had a spark arrestor, and is loud...they don't seem to care about that.

Sweet. I am picking Jason and his quad up first, then Jaron w/ his quad at his house in Pickerington @ 9. Where did you want to meet up? We will be bringing a portable grill to cook up some lunch.

Zillow can either be damn accurate or way the hell off. It is usually off if there was a recent transaction on the house. I just looked again, and magically my house went up $60,000 since we checked the site a month ago. I will say the price they have for it now is probably pretty accurate on what it would sell for. But my neighbor's house is listed as being worth more...even though it is smaller, less land, and less desireable layout, and they paid less. Go figure. Then the vacant house to the left...well, if the lawyers ever get their stuff together on that, they are probably a good 300k too high on their estimate. Of course, looking at how they estimate my house, somehow it grew a bedroom and lost a bathroom.

Anyone heard of Road Mice? Now we have some.
Nitrousbird replied to SpaceGhost's topic in Passing Lane
I could see it being a neat purchase for an automotive business. But for me, I need the function of my mouse. Those would just be uncomfortable. -
Why are you compressing your MP3's so much that you can hear a difference. Either go lossless MP3 or go a super high bit rate. Plus, factory radio...seriously, you probably can't tell the difference between 128k MP3 and a CD anyway on that. CD's are a thing of the past. I couldn't even tell you if the CD player in my Avalanche still works...my Premier deck controls my iPod, and I have my Sirius. I just keep my CD's in a box because I don't want to throw them away.

24 hours of Lemons this weekend, wanna drive?
Nitrousbird replied to Science Abuse's topic in Passing Lane
I wish...my weekends will all be the same for the next few weeks...watch OSU and work on my stupid rental house now that the worthless tenants are out so I can sell the damn thing; I want to get it listed before the tax credit expires. Unless I get lucky and the place implodes on its own before then. I'm not that lucky. -
Alright, looks like it is just Jason and Jaron then? Anyone else. Check your PM's.

Because Insight is desperate for customers and will take them at a loss. At that price, they are losing money every month. A few companies across the country are doing that, because they are desperate for more subscribers, as they may be able to get a better deal when the renegotiate programming contracts. Programming costs are going out the roof right now, so they would rather take a big money loss now in the hopes of making it up in the next couple of years. WOW will never be able to price undercut the big boys....their pockets are much, MUCH deeper. WOW has to do it with a good product and good service and a reasonable price. And that policy has been working for years. No one is doing ONLY HD channels because of contracts. You act like it is just simply carrying some channels...nothing could be further from the truth.

I bought 100 packs of DVD -R's at a Best Buy Black Friday sale for the same price. I think we got about 1000 discs the last time we bought them. And really, CD-R's? I've had the same 50 pack for years....not really useful. When Best Buy has cheap BD-R's, I'll be interested.

24 hours of Lemons this weekend, wanna drive?

Crap, I forgot it was this weekend, and things that suck are taking place of going to something cool. -
why are people in canada so fucking rude
Nitrousbird replied to wnaplay1647545503's topic in Dumpster
My wife is Canadian, and very nice. The Newfies I met have been very nice. Actually, I haven't experienced many rude Canadians. -
Wow, I've never seen a wild deer that tame in person.

Well, I thought I took the power to the neighborhood out, but ends up I may have only killed off either one house, or none at all. When I was mowing w/ my riding mower, I mowed near the transformer box. I hear this pop, go a little further, and see a hole in the ground, and a thick wire that was cut off clean in the hole that was sticking up. Hmmm, not good. I keep mowing, my wife comes out a few minutes later saying the electric is out. Well, turns out a car at about the same time took out a transfer pole on Riverside Dr. Electric is back on, though I live in a Cul-de-sac, where the neighbor home is empty and the one behind still looks dark. I told AEP about the line, so hopefully they will care for it. But we took a trip around the neighborhood, and noticed that almost everyone is rocking a generator. Some have just roll-around ones, other's have integrated generators. Talk to a neighbor down the street, and he said this isn't uncommon (even though it's an underground utility neighborhood built in 2002-2004). Well, my wife wants a generator. Our neighborhood doesn't have natural gas, and we are about the only house without propane (we rock all electric), so we will have to do a gasoline unit. I think we want one that can power a few things in the house + the furnace and heat pump (furnace and heat pump are pretty big). What should I be looking for? What kind of rape me price are we going to be talking? I know my wife is going to want one before winter hits, so now is probably the time to buy.

I never said I did it.

Looks like OSU will be in the top 10 again. I see Iowa being in the top 25 now as well. I was really hoping Penn State would be undefeated going into the OSU game.

The Audi will likely not be super reliable and be labor intensive to repair/routine maintenance.

My wife and I both read the book and loved it. Not sure if we will see it in the theater or wait until DVD, but I will be seeing it.
