  1. PM me with your account information (at least a phone number), and I can get a tech out there to care for it for you.
  2. It takes about 10 seconds to disable UAC and fix that. Hell, doesn't even require a reboot now.
  3. I haven't had any speed issues at all with Windows 7. Same inconsistent speeds I've always gotten with Time Warner. OS wise, everything runs quicker than it did in Vista; all hardware is identical to my Vista install (well, I added a 6th hard drive, but Windows 7 is sitting on my RAID-0 like Vista did). 64-bit, Ultimate.
  4. No one knows...it's not for sale. It is in a legal battle that no one knows what is owed...my guess is there are over a million in liens on the joint, as I heard the guy did some other stuff to build another home from the loan on this one. But that's all just neighborhood rumor...everyone and their brother are interested, but no one can buy it. Only thing I know for sure is the owner paid 720k for it.
  5. Did you try a different Blu-ray player on your model of TV at the store? If all the players look like that on your model of TV, but look great on other TV's, I'd look into returning the TV. There is no reason it shouldn't look pretty damn good straight out of the box. I wouldn't put a ton of work/time/money trying to make a brand new TV look better, when all of its competitors looks fine.
  6. The rust thing is retarded. Period.
  7. I gotta agree with them being too big. I've played with monsters before, and it's overrated. Nice, perky set > monsters.
  8. ???? You bought it with the money you earned. Why would you even need to ask? I've towed about 6500, plus 500lbs of passengers, in my Avalanche, which is only 1/2 ton. Double axle 18' open care hauler, but at the time I didn't have the brakes working on it. Towed fine...braking was poor though. Hooked up the brakes and my brake controller, and good to go for towing anything. I've towed with cars pulled too far forward and had no issues at all.
  9. The bank is supposed to take care of it. Our house was a forclosure, and they half-ass mowed it. We have 2 acres, all grass, and they mowed probably .75 acres worth. We actually came over once during the contract time to mow it ourselves because of the piss-poor job they did...I'm sure the lawn care guys were a little surprised to see someone came out and mow the whole thing. Didn't motivate them to mow anything extra, though. The home next to ours has been empty for 3 years, from what we have been told. People drive by weekly curious about it, but looks like it has liens out the ass on it, and mountains of paperwork. No one takes care of it, nor checks on it, ever. Myself and the neighbor on the other side of it take care of mowing; we mow about about a half acre or a little more of the property; the whole back yard is overgrown, but I'm not about to mow another 2 acres after doing my own. I guess we could call the city, but I think it has to be pretty overgrown before they will do anything about it...I don't want to look at it like that. Hell, I'm tempted to clean up the overgrown bushes in the front of the house.
  10. There is no reason for us to be over there, period. We need to simply leave. Who cares if we "lost" or not...there is no win.
  11. Redneck? You obviously don't know me. Oh, you are trying to be funny with some sort of stereotype. It was a good attempt, thanks for playing.
  12. At age 16, I might buy into your horse shit. At age 26, well, sorry you are a rice supporter.
  13. Wow, the econo car is sticker-chjarged. Nice. Nothing says lame as ricer like some Altezas and an intercooler to no where. I bet it has that nice fart can sound too.
  14. No really, it's a drive thru job. I'm sure Taco Bell or the local Shell station is looking for employees. Move on.
  15. Of cars I've driven (excluding cars on a test drive): Most cramped interior: Lotus Elise Biggest POS interior: Lotus Elise Fastest Car: Mario's Camaro Slowest Car: My first: Renault Alliance 1.3L Most uncomfortable seats: 06 Ford F150 XL work truck, split bench Worst Brakes: 69 Firebird 400 w/ 4 wheel drums Best Brakes: 99 C5 (not stock) Lightest Car: 86 CRX Si (yes, its lighter than the Lotus) Best in snow: 02 Avalanche Worst in snow: 94 Formula w/ worn, rock hard, Z-rated Michelins that sucked in the dry Most unreliable POS: 93 S-Blazer
  16. Wow, this dude is fucking brilliant.
  17. Says the doctor who is trying to justify his brand new Escalade purchase when he could have bought a 2 year old one for a little over half and had the same vehicle. Used is the way to go with almost any vehicle (yes, there are some exceptions). Let someone else take the depreciation hit. At two years, you still get a factory warranty, and most luxo-brands offer an extended pre-owned warranty as well.
  18. We tested a few of those cars on the way to my wife finding what she wanted: - IS250 is a nice car. Probably the slowest of the group you mentioned. You MUST get Navigation with this car; the interior feels out of place without it, and they did a really good job with the Nav setup. This was one of the top picks I had for my wife, but she felt it was a more guy-oriented car, and was significantly more expensive for the same class of car/features compared to what she got. - CTS: Very awesome, likely one of the quicker cars in the group, the interior updates on the current model are very nice. Solid pick. Could have been a winner for my wife except she decided to go used and an AWD CTS wasn't available used. - We drove a couple Benzs...ehhh, just weren't impressed for the money compared to the others. - You left off the G35x, another good contender. Much more HP than the IS250 AWD, but the interior isn't quite as nice. Still a nice driving car. - 3 series BMW's do drive really nicely; you don't have to go 335xi (which would be faster than anything else you would be looking at anyway). The interiors could use a bit of help compared to the others though. - A4 - this ended up being the winner. Why? My wife was able to get a off lease 06 with 1.5 years of factory warranty + 2 more years of Audi CPO warranty, and had a 0.9% 60 month, 0 down finance rate. She loved the car and how it drove, and the price was better than anything else in its class for a used car with similar miles/age. Seriously, don't even look at a freaking Taurus.
  19. I thought the article was interesting, but I get the feeling there were a lot of things left out, and everything seemed skewed to be either an excuse for what they did, or giving a positive angle for whatever they did, regardless if it was bad or not. That said, I am sure the guy did more good than harm, and something had to be done. The fact they caved to the UAW is a bit of a problem for me.
  20. Assuming that is a chick, she can take classy off of her list.
  21. You have to pay for Windows 7???
  22. I went there, but I think things changed since I graduated with my BS over 9 years ago (back then it wasn't DeVry University). Then, the associates programs were a joke - mostly ghetto trash that were getting a free education. For the bachelors programs, most of the idiots were weeded out in under a year. They would let ANYONE in (decent business model...get 1/2 year to a year worth of money out of someone who has no business being in college, then flunk them out). I think only 30% of the people that started my major actually graduated. I should also add I got a job paying very good money (well, for someone straight out of college with no experience) from an interview setup through the school. Would have been a career if it wasn't for the tech crash in 01-02.
  23. I don't care how many RPM's that motor can spin, it can't make the power of an LS3, for much more than the cost of an LS7. And likely weighs more too. Hell, on a dyno, I'd bet it makes less power than an LS2 or LS6 as well. Berto, this will be the best thing you have ever done to that car. Getting rid of that shitty rotary is the right thing to do. And if you sell it, the car will sell for more money than it ever would have with a modded rotary, and sell more easily.
  24. Why the hell are any of you paying interest on a balance? I get 0% transfer offers for 12+ month every week. Hell, last card I got was 0% for 15 months, and didn't even have the usual 3% balance transfer fee. Hell, I'm not even sure how many credit card accounts I have open now, but only one has a balance or an active card, and they haven't made a penny off of me.
