  1. One of my Cousins just graduated HS a week or so ago and apparently it was way out of hand with people (mainly adults, not just punk-ass kids) throwing things and screaming right into other peoples ears... Just generally being jackasses and flagrantly ignorant, then cussing people out for giving them "looks" and trying to start fights. That's an awesome way to celebrate a graduation. Common sense would tell you if you don't want people to look at you, don't scream in their ear like a jackass. Sadly, common sense isn't so common nowadays.
  2. I'll Play: Me with my new concealed carry gun. It's rather bulky, but I consider it carry-on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF0459.jpg
  3. Bump It even has a custom "Racing Stripe" on the hood b/c I like to party... How bad-ass is that?
  4. Pic of the bike... since he hasn't posted one yet: http://feat.putfile.com/profilepics/main/6/nther91-57115115313.jpg
  5. Thanks To be honest it's probably a tiny bit rougher than the pics would imply (maybe its because it's in the shade?), but it is still very solid and decent looking for being 18 years old.
  6. I'd say that if you have the money to spend to make the bigger engine last - you'd only come out ahead. Look at Pro Mod, they run huge engines and power adders. Actually, Look at Troy Coughlin's GTO Pro Mod... up until this season it was a twin turbo Big Block (which I thought was 540ci or larger, I don't recall) then a supercharged Big Block. As I recall, I think they even upped the displacement on purpose when the rules were juggled around a bit for the FI cars. I don't think they'd go that big unless there was some tangible benefit. They put alot of research into building for these racing classes... it's not F1, but I bet it's close.

  8. I recently "updated" to a newer Cherokee that I am forcing myself to leave stock in an effort to retain some gas mileage, handling and such but still be able to load up and go into the woods camping… Anyway – the time has come to part with this one to make room in the driveway. You'd be hard pressed to find something better for getting you around no matter where you need to go. It's got a lot of miles but the engine is a Napa reman that (as I recall) has only 30-40K. I have all the paperwork from the engine swap and receipts with mileage, so I can verify this, but I think that's close. There are a lot of random "quirks" that it exhibits that are normal for it's age and mileage, but there is no reason that it wouldn't go another 100K with basic servicing. I'm actually already starting to regret buying another one when this one's paid off and has been very dependable. Specs: 180K Miles 4.0L Auto 4x4 – Has both Part-Time as well as Full-Time (Selec-Trac)… Full-time is perfect for winter. Rebuilt engine Working AC Overhead console with compass and outside temp Power locks and windows (although the lock mechanisms need lubed, they're stiff) Leather interior - Gray (kinda' rough and torn in a couple of places, but decent and comfortable) CD Player (Panasonic? – don’t remember) Lifted ~3" – Rusty's Offroad 3" lift kit installed 4-5 years ago including shocks 30" BFG Long Trail T/As (great wearing and awesome in the snow and light mud) Full-size spare (same tire on stock wheel) Cragar Black Soft 8 Wheels JEGS Catback exhaust Cargo Liner Interior Tool Box – sits opposite the spare tire Hitch New brakes all around - Hawk Pads in front (better stopping - kinda squeaky) "Custom Paint" – was painted yellow when I bought it – added black to bottom. It's got a lot of runs, but I think it looks okay and it's just rough enough you don’t mind using it like a truck… something I'll miss. "Issues" Idles a little low when warm, causing it to run kinda rough (not badly, and only at idle) The IAC needs replaced and maybe the TPS – both are cheap, I just haven't done it because it gets around just fine – it's just an annoyance more than anything. Noise at speed, some of it's the tires, but I think that the wheel bearings will need replaced sometime soon. Steering is somewhat vague and makes a popping sound occasionally. This is mostly due to a worn steering box. I have a newer one from a low mileage '95 that I'll include with the Jeep. It has power seats, but they stopped working about a year ago. I suspect corroded wiring but haven’t tried to diagnose it. The power locks cycle, but often the locks must be worked manually because they're just stiff enough the solenoids won’t kick them over. Lubing the mechanism will likely fix this (It's common with these). It has a cruise control knob, but the box for the cruise control was bypassed when I got it – I haven’t tried to reinstall it, but I'll leave it in there. Fuel gauge is off – 1/8 tank is about empty. I usually just fill up around 1/2 tank for good measure. This is fixable, it just didn’t bother me enough to fix. Rust – under the doors where they commonly rust and a good size rust through hole has formed under the rear passenger door. Unfortunately these things rust, but it's basically comsmetic – it's still a very durable vehicle. Many Cherokees in this condition are known to still be going well into the 300K mark. Overall it's a bit rough around the edges but most of its annoyances are fixable and it has honestly been one of the most dependable and versatile vehicles I have owned – which is why it has been replaced by another Cherokee. It has actually been my only vehicle since I sold my Mustang last year. I'll update with more pics later. I don't have any recent pics here at work. Here it is before I swapped to the Cragar Wheels: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/JeepBlackTrim.jpg
  9. This doesn't have exactly that measurement, but it might give you what you need: http://www.carnut.com/specs/engdim.html
  10. Ben, What type of 4x4 is this one? Does it have Full-Time 4x4 as well as part-time, or is it the Full-time 4x4 only? I think there were several options on the Grands. I have been looking to "upgrade" my Cherokee if I ever get my funds straight and have been concidering the possibility of a Grand as well if optioned out right.
  11. You sure that's not The Razor's Edge? Motivational music makes you drive better. True story. http://www.rockdetector.com/assets/img/covers/12147.jpg
  12. Sweet. I'm sure there has to be some left in it. Maybe start drilling holes in everything, have Charlie drive, fiberglass/lexan hatch, 50 shot? Sure would be nice to see it go 9.9x N/A though, not that amost 9's is weak.
  13. Nothing says "Stop being a douche" like being confined in a cell for a while. Sounds like he's getting what he deserves. Too bad Terry Hogan wasn't more of a hard ass Hulk-a-maniac with his son.
  14. Statistically, 100% of divorces start with marriage. (coming from someone getting married in less than 4 months) I think that deciding to get married should be something that you don't have any doubts about. I was in a relationship for a couple of years that was similar to your situation, except we didn't even fight. We got along pretty well and were "good together", but there was no love and I don't think either of us was truly happy - just content. We had even talked about marriage and buying a house together. We were just going through the motions. I'm glad I wised up and ended it, for both our sakes. :gtfo: With my fiancée, I just knew marriage is what I wanted. That doesn't always mean it will work, but I'm confident it will.
  15. True story. I've been trying to talk my fiancee into taking a course or two at Mid Ohio this year. She calims she's scared of "messing something up" with their car. I told her that's what they're there for...:burn: Not to mention that the way she drives I'm amazed she hasn't had any major accidents. She has bad habits and no concept of car control at all.
  16. 4 months tomorrow for me. No bar at my reception, but we're doing it "Country Style". We're just going to have a bonfire and beer.
  17. Yes, the Yellows are available in Single-adjustable(SA - Rebound Only) and Double adjustable (DA - Rebound and Compression) for some cars. I'm not sure if they do a Fox strut in DA, but the SA is a good choice still, even for competition. I would agree that the Yellows tend to be pretty stiff, but I never found them to ride poorly (in my opinion) in any properly matched setup. I have riden/driven in a Camaro with DAs set fairly stiff and thought it wasn't too bad either. They are purposely made a good bit stiffer than stock shocks for a given application and it's not always necessary to add any rebound (or compression in a DA) as one might think. On my last car I had SAs at about one rotation from full "soft" on both ends and it matched well with Bullitt springs (similar to Cs). Honestly, "road-manners" is mostly personal preference. I probably have a higher tolerance for some things than others. Your best bet is to try driving or riding in some cars with a similar setup and some different shocks. That way you can decide pretty quickly what you can live with as far as ride quality is concerned. If they aren't too harsh for your needs, they likely are one of the best choices out there for double-duty. Some would say they're overkill for a street car - but that's what we're all about, right?
  18. I have never been a fan of Tokicos, but I haven't used the HPs specifically (OEM Bullits). The Bullitt shock was damped much stiffer than stock, but didn't seem very progressive, just stiff. Meaning it was like the valve would just slam shut at the same rate regardless of conditions. Coupled with the Bullitt spring, they worked well but leave alot to be desired in ride quality and made for a very sharp cutoff traction-wise at the limit. Switching to Koni Yellows solved both issues for me (poor ride quality and abrupt traction loss when pushed). If the Tokico HPs are anything like the OEM Bullitt (and they may not be) I would absolutely sink my money into the Bilstein's at least, but my preference will always be toward Koni. A decent SA Koni Sport is a little more than the Bilstein but likely worth the upgrade if you plan to hit some autocross events. Either way, while it's important to match your springs to your goals, the shock is likely going to make the most perceptible difference in handling and ride quality.
  19. I have a bachelor party/wedding coming up... I'll take 4. PMed.
  20. Wild guesses: -Out of balance clutch/flywheel? -Bad harmonic balancer on the engine slipping under load?
  21. I'm not usually a fan of movies based on comics, as I have never been a comic fan and just "don't get it" (some exceptions - Hellboy, The Crow, etc)... but I really enjoyed this movie. I'll be buying it and I don't buy alot of movies.
  22. You might have some luck searching www.frrax.com. I know a couple of those guys use c6 wheels as their street wheels (F-bodies). EugenioSS is one for sure. I don't rememeber how thick the spacers were that he used in the rear but I thought there was a post about it. I don't remember them looking really thick, but I wasn't paying that much attention.
