So correct me anywhere I'm wrong. I searched around the net quite a bit and couldn't find some basics info on these standards. The fitting 'type' (metric or standard) always dictates the flare type? ISO=Metric=Bubble Flare SAE=Standard=Double Flare This is always true (on newer stuff, not old JSO or anything like that)? The fitting size dictates the line size? So say you have an M10 fitting it's always x line size, or if you have a 3/8" fitting it's always y line size? So what line size do I have if I have a 3/8" fitting (it clearly has a double flare)? What line size do I have if I have a 7/16" fitting (still need to disconnect it but I assume everything here is SAE, double flare)? I have a trailer with surge brakes with a mostly soft line, that has just a little bit of hard lines on the end. One end is 3/8" and the other is 7/16". The line is black rubber, 1/8" Good Year (5056). And there is a big rusted hole in one of the small hard line portions so it needs replaced. Is there anywhere around here that makes brake lines, like this one? I'd just as soon just take this in somewhere and pay to get it made than have to make one.

Just in case anyone hasn't mentioned it yet, because I haven't read the whole thread, TT 03/04 Cobra! But in between the C6 Z06 and GTR that's a hard decision. I'm a huge fan of turbo AWD cars, and you've already had a Z06 so I'd give a slight nod to the GTR. But all else being equal, just looking at performance, perceived reliability, looks, etc, I'd go with the C6 Z06. And whatever you get, the first mod should be Altezzas! :bangbang:

Man, this would be awesome but I already have a vacation planned over that stretch. -
Is the sub-frame and suspension ok?

I don't remember the exact model, but the aluminium vehicle jack that you would typically buy from sears is the biggest piece of shit ever made. There are stories all over the net about the pumps dying and ours did after 2 years of non-regular use. I bet we used it 100 times at best as we usually use our lifts. This one, DON'T BUY THIS. Read the reviews on Sears website. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950242000P?prdNo=11&blockNo=11&blockType=G11 From glancing at the 2 and 3 ton they don't seem to get much better reviews. BTW, the pumps damn near catastrophically failed. One day it was 100% fine. The next person used it and told us that it was leaking a little bit (not actual fluid but just not holding the car up on it's own). The next time I went to use it a few days later it would not lift the car at all.

Alton brown did a good eats episode on steaks where he showed a simple method to dry age in the fridge using items you probably have at home. I can't remember the exact method but you should be able to google it!

This, you can't live around no one right? It's still worth a try to see if someone in the area is interested, if she is interested in doing that. If she only wants to do a little bit and not a ton of work 2 kids from 1 family might be enough.

With the early childhood development degree I would think home child care would be right up her alley. Especially if she's worked anywhere in the field to show experience to potential clients.

While a good idea and it is in the short north. B&Bs kind of creep me out. It's full up on saturday night anyways.

Lol, just wanting to do something simple and easy but still nice. We've been talking about doing to staying downtown thing for a while now and it's mostly an excuse to do that. We are going on a real vacation in a month and a half. We are more of a downtown type of people than Amish country or hocking hills anyways.

Bosch icons are 6 months old, tried them on the way to work at 74mph with a dry windshield. There was zero chatter or lift.

It's our anniversary so we were going to stay somewhere downtown on Saturday. We had planned to go to 55 Lofts but for some reason they have a minimum 2 night stay this weekend and we were only going to do one night. Still going to email them to see if we can't get in for one night, but baring that where else should we look at? Closer to the short north is best. There's some cheer leading/gymnastic/talent competition going on so it might be a good idea to stay away from the Convention Center anyways.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcStMySuE703LJrRB80wM8CCe0nnDpdOxueNgxbCVEnrle7XbnZh Anniversary is Friday so it depends on what we do when this weekend as to whether I can make it or not. I'm 50/50 at this point. Everyone have fun at the 'first' one of the year if I don't make it!

Also Bosch Icons. I've been using them for quite a few years now, they usually last about a year which is about 11 months longer than I ever had any other blade last before it drove me insane for some reason. What's the Van? Sometimes the stock blades are really good and you can buy inserts from the dealership on the cheap. Maybe they are just too old, any blade will die eventually and skip.

Someone please post "That guy's a Delaware saint compared to Jack Baruth" in that thread. If anything there is as it should be with all of those mouth breathers, that plus Dox Viewt will probably make that an epic thread really quickly.

Going to buy some nice rum and thinking about getting some 'whiskey' stones. Any ever used these, do they work, should I get something else or just not get them at all? I'll probably try this stuff straight and chilled, so I'm thinking something like soap stones would work great to try it chilled but I've no actual experience.

Congrats! I paid off the car a few years ago, then a turbo took a shit and I decided to sell it instead of dump money into it I was trying to save for other stuff. A little more than a year later paid of the student loans. End of last year I made it to 6 months of expenses saved up. I kept saving that same amount so I have a few grand sitting there to do whatever with. At the same time we started saving up for a house and are about 1/3 of the way to the down payment we want on the price range of house we will be looking at. The car felt good, but it was just a big step to debt free. Being 100% debt free was the only one that felt momentous so far. I still owe myself a $200 bottle of rum and a nice cigar to celebrate that one. I'd say keep the car and just save for the down payment. What I did made sense in my case, but if the car I had were newer with less miles and the turbo didn't die i would have kept it.

STI, WRX OR EVO.? under 30k newer the better.
Trouble Maker replied to Ramsey's topic in Passing Lane
Brand new WRX premium hatch for 28k Or if you are going to change your mind in a year and sell it the evo because it will lose the least value over that time. -
Is it something you are not supposed to do because of your position? Would you get in trouble if you did this thing or if something wrong happened while you did it? Do you not have the technical know how or experience to do it? If it's something you could do, just fucking do it. There is nothing I dislike more in someones work ethic that I'm working with than if they don't do what needs to be done to get the job done because it's 'not their job'. I completely understand that for a myriad of reasons that sometimes it's necessary. I also understand in large companies that's not how thing work sometimes. But most of the time it's just laziness.

Senators Try To Get DUI Checkpoint Apps Banned

I would think that probably has little to do with what the police department legally has to do. -
Senators Try To Get DUI Checkpoint Apps Banned
Trouble Maker replied to Bigbird's topic in Passing Lane
I've always wondered what the 'alert' has to look like. Do they just give some homeless guy $5 and a 40oz. to go sit on a corner and mumble something about a DUI check point at broad & high? I'm sure they do as little as legally possible, which I'm sure isn't much. At least with these programs the public can actually be informed about where these check points are. Why is this such a bad thing? I'm sure they fought against having to inform the public the first time. Now they are doing it again. You know who else didn't want their people to use technology to communicate about government issues? Egypt. I know, very different, but it's also a very slippery slope. Of course black berry, RIM, was the first to ban these apps and did so right away. What a bunch of douchers.
