I'm pretty sure it is just Columbus proper, I could be wrong though. Not like I should really care because I didn’t get to vote on it! OMFG!!111!1 Compromising to cohabitate on this earth, what a novel idea. I’ve been preaching a similar idea to all of the ‘yes to the smoking ban’ people here and they can’t see past their own nose far enough to understand they are living on this earth with 6 billion other people.

A woman versus an African American for president in 08'. graemlins/thumb.gif

Did you mean wasn't?

It's stupid. There is a better solution than an outright ban. The smoking influence on people wanting a non-smoking section of a restaurant is an issue, this should be addressed. But to say no one can smoke in any public establishment, including bars and bowling alleys is just ridiculous. The issue of establishments like bars should have never been brought up. Sincerely, Someone who’s never smoked.

Along the same lines, does anyone know anything about the new 'media players' that can do music, photo, video, act as an external HDD?

What did you expect dressing like that?

I'll go there and ski with whoever. I don't care if they board or ski, as long as they don't use those faggoty ass ski skates. graemlins/gay.gifgraemlins/finger.gif Getting my MRM pass again this year. Only other place close is Snow Trails, broke my toe there last year, fuck that place. graemlins/lol.gif Plus most everyone on here goes to MRM that I know of.

Damn I suck, forgot last night. Slipped my mind. I'll try and remember tonight, I'm usually good about remembering stuff like that, just not last night I guess.

Lol, Kyle, is that Bate's forehead and nose? graemlins/lol.gif

Ah, sorry, I took it the wrong way. I assumed you knew what people usually used in the "Monster Miatas", which is the Ford SB 302 btw. Yes, from everything I've heard/read, the 305 SBC isn't worth its weight in scrap for trying to modify. Sounds like fun, you should be resting and having some 'fun' dreams right now instead of trying to have conversations over the net. tongue.gif Hope you get to feeling better though. graemlins/thumb.gif

Ehhh, meant to scan that page out of my manual last night but got sidetracked. Hold in there and I'll get it to you this evening. graemlins/thumb.gif

Whoops, 302. Sorry I accidentally quote the wrong engine size on a car I've never owned. I guess if it makes you feel better about yourself that you can be an ass and call me dumb when I type something wrong, more power to you. It would have been much more polite, and constructive to simply state the correction. I’m not sure why I expect polite conversations from some people (anyone?) on this board sometimes though. When have I ever owned a Miata?

Yeah, I would think if every time it happened you called the cops and had them come to file a report you could eventually build a case on them. Plus I would think a pellet gun would leave some kind of mark on her car, unfortunate. But that, along with pellets in their drive way makes for a pretty good report against them. Situation really sucks and I’m sorry to hear about it. Hopefully they either quit before something serious happens, or you can get the cops out next time and 'make' them quit. I can’t sit here and say I wouldn’t do something stupid in the heat of the moment if they did the same thing to me. I will try to say, not being in the situation, try not to do anything stupid that could get you in trouble.

I've actually done some research into this and the general consensus was that most any v8 in that car would throw off the perfect balance and make it handle like crap compared to stock. Although a turbo kit would make it heavier in the front, probably not nearly as much as an iron block engine. Plus, if you move the battery to the back, and remove some unneeded crap in the engine bay, I'd be willing to bet you'd get back to 50/50. The 302 is what is generally done in these cars (all iron stock). I believe there are problems putting the LT1 or LS1 in these cars, not to mention the fact that an LS1 is going to be an expensive venture, if you are concerned about the weight distribution. If you need something faster than 250whp and 250wheel tq. in a 2200lb. car, look elsewhere. These turbo kits are also purely bolt on, where as the V8's, your either paying someone alot for a kit, or doing alot of fabrication. It's probably not an as 'on the cheap' project as some make it out to be. I wouldn't be interested in killing the inherent very good handling of this car to go a little (or even alot) faster than that. There are much better platforms to start out on if you are just looking to go fast in a straight line. [ 01. November 2004, 11:39 AM: Message edited by: Neo ]

I was under the impression that all of the Nissan cars that had numbers in their model names designated the engine size. E.G. 350Z=3.5L, 240SX=2.4L, 300ZX=3.0L. I was talking with another person that’s on here the other day (Satan) and we were talking about the old Datsun 260Z and Nissan 280Z, he said he thought those were the same exact car and they both had a 3L engine. I don’t know very much about these cars, so I have no idea if it is true or not. The 200SX came into the conversation too. I'm looking on Edmunds earlier and it states that the later ones, 95-98 200SX, they were in fact a 1.6L engine. Obviously, the 200SX doesn’t follow this nomenclature and if what he was saying about the 260’s and 280’s are true they don’t' either. It seem as if some of their cars follow that nomenclature and some don't. Can anyone offer any insight on this? TIA.

Flyin Miata>>Everyone in this post.

I remember you talking about this before. Think about what you just wrote for a second, you did not start it under water.

Did you get a hi five from a Linus character about 2:45 at some Indian food bar that had a blue grass band?

If you aren't sure what something does that's running in your task manager or at startup, search for it on google (or whereever). 99% of the time the first site that pops up is www.liutilities.com it will tell you what you need to know about that particular program.

True story, I've had it happen more than once. graemlins/lol.gif

That cars story deserves a better ending than this, take it to hell and give it the joyous funeral it so sorely deserves. graemlins/nod.gif Can't wait to see your new truck!

Just in case you hadn't noticed, Eminem is an entertainer. I'd almost put money on the fact that he doesn’t act or think like his 'character'. I also do not think that we should listen to what entertainers have to say about politics (F.A.G.), as you implied. I did not imply that in my post. Regardless, that was not the point of my post. I did also say "Not saying that is necessarily the case, just what popped into my head when I saw that”, which you so conveniently left out. I wasn't trying to say anything specifically about Eminem, because I don't know him and neither do you, but more of a generalized statement to make people think about why they are voting for who (or what) they are voting for. Saying "a republican president is good for ME" is not the right attitude to have about voting for a president (or issue). Having pride in this country is not about self-preservation. The men and women on the front lines exemplify that. It seems as if Steve understood my post, and I bet you did too, you just felt like being argumentative. If that’s not the case, I hope I explain myself better this time around.

Greg, Just wondering why you used 60 months? Is that just kind of the standard for financing a car when one is trying to get lower monthly payments? Is that sort of a maximum, generally speaking? Just wondering.

That's good, sad to say, but you are probably in a minority on either side. Not only are most people dumb and ignorant, but they can't see past their own nose.
