  1. So, it looks cool, but what was special/different about the GTA? Just a body kit? At first I was trying to remember the acronym for the LC2 version, thought this might be it and my pants started to get tight... but that's a TTA. Welcome to the board.

  3. Every try the gels/shot blocks? Most of the gel packs taste like shit, IMHO, I like Cliff shot blocks. I eat some, and some real food (often part of a cliff bar) 10-20 minutes before a ride and stop occasionally throughout to eat (and drink) some more depending on ride length. I find just eating those shots/gel packs by themselves can sometimes upset my stomach a bit.
  4. This is a great tool for anything that involves technical skills, we use it in skiing and I'm sure it can be just as useful in just about any other sport. I can be told how to do something and I can feel like I'm doing what they are telling me, but maybe I'm not doing it 100%. Maybe I'm only 50% there or maybe I'm 95% there, but I feel like I'm there even though I'm not. No matter what someone tells me, if I think I'm doing what they are telling me the critiquing doesn't help me nearly as much as when they are telling me what I'm doing wrong and I'm watching a video of myself doing it wrong. It can be truly mind blowing if you are doing something bad. :fa: For example, if someone tells you that you can use more of the track, but you thought you already were using it all it might not help that much, but if you see a vid from another car watching your car, you can see exactly where and how much of the track you aren't using.
  5. You would probably run a 4.74 60'. :gabe: Assuming uniform acceleration during his 60' he pulled 2.6g (2.6 times gravity)... if I did my napkin calcs correctly
  6. Woo Hoo, 7 more HP, eleventy0000 more ftlbs of TQ. Any other positive side effects; improved MPG, etc?
  7. I'm not doctor, but he probably has some vitamin deficiency for some reason that came out in his testing and it has an effect on his chemical balance. I would imagine it may very well be specific to his situation, especially considering his relatively rare physical condition (brain damage).
  8. I doubt I will try to fix it, as we only need the washer for about a month and a half while we are in between both places. You can try to dig into it, I fixed our dryer last time, about 9 months ago with a $15 part. I thought it was the same problem this time so I got the same part, but it's also something else that I couldn't figure out/didn't have the time to figure out. I think it might be the coil which is much more than a used dryer. So you could tear it apart and try to figure it out, but you won't have a washer for a while and most parts are more than a cheap used washer.

  10. Still looking for this stuff. Got a washer & dryer from Smokey, thanks again! Got a lawnmower from Mensan, thanks! Just went and bought a ladder.
  11. Thanks for the washer and dryer and huge thanks for bringing them to our place!
  12. I don't get it, is she under that skin suit?
  13. Sent you a PM Not really interested in a riding lawnmower, thanks though.

  15. Metric, Ben Kweller, Maps & Atlases, Civil Twilight, Tanlines, The Lumineers I'm only selling these because I can't go this weekend and I'm only selling them for what I paid for them. I chose the print option and I haven't printed them yet. You can pay me via pay pal and I can email you a file to print the tickets so we never need to meet. I can meet up if you need me to print the tickets or pay me in person, but I’m very busy with closing on our house right now so it may be hard to schedule.
  16. Marc, I will also buy one off of you when I see you on Friday. :fuckyeah:
  17. I think you meant from an emotional/commitiment standpoint. I see where you are coming from, the legal standpoint being different. Definitely on the to do list, with the biggest worry being more overall estate planning. Which is probably more important for us than a married couple, due to the legal differences we've already touched on here. What happens to my assets if something happens to me? I want to make sure they go to her.

  19. That's a little short sided I think. As short sided as me saying everything about marriage is foolish, or everyone who get's married is a fool. I don't' think that, it's just not right for us. It might be right for some. I just don't see where anything legal should enter into the equation. Thanks! We are very excited about the house. I still owe everyone here pics from Hawaii... they will get posted up here sometime when everything slows down a little bit. :lolguy: We've had pretty extensive conversations about our assets and soon to be debt and have 100% the same understanding.
  20. I've been with my partner (female) for over 5 years, living together for almost 4, we are fully committed to each other and have 0 interest in getting married. We are buying a house on Friday. We just celebrated our 5 year in Hawaii and exchanged rings as a symbol of our commitment to each other. We exchanged rings on a beach in between hiking and dinner. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=563&pictureid=6466 I expect coffee and photography lessons as my pament in winning that bet. :megusta: Someone we just know spent as much on their wedding as we did on Hawaii & our down payment for our house. They are working off credit card debt and student loans, we have 0 debt until Friday on the house. :dumb:
  21. Get some peanut butter and he will do that for you too. :gabe:
  22. That doesn't explain why. Joint assets should be considered 50/50, that's it (and they are even if you aren't married). There's no reason a married couple should get tax breaks just because they are married. Marriage as a legal construct makes no sense. When kids enter into the picture, that's a whole different ball of wax. But that has nothing to do with 2 people being married, from a legal standpoint.
  23. Why does marriage have anything to do with the legal system anyways?
