Wow, that's sad to hear, but at least you're ok. Jeans don't provide good protection, but at least you had your helmet and jacket on. Two years ago a friend of mine was in an accident and was only wearing his helmet. That taught me that no matter how far you're riding you should wear your gear. Luckly he's ok now, but had he been wearin his jacket his recovery would have been shorter.

You hit the nail right on the head. The union will either have to be broken or seriously reformed in they want to become as financially stable as Toyota or Honda. As with their designs, some are good, others are horrible. The Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice, Corvette, new Caddy's, even the G6 are all good designs in my opinion. Ohters are overly bland like Buick, then revised Monte Carlo and Impala, etc. And then the truely hideous: The Chevy HHR. I saw one of these today and rolled my eyes. It's a clean design, but a few years too late. But then a Traliblazer SS drove past me and I completely forgot about it.

What you may not realize is GM actually builds quality products. They're at the top of many of this years rankings in various categories. The only manufacturer to take for first places was Toyota and it was close. How can you say GM builds shit when someone comes on here and asks what mid-size car to buy and people overwhelingly say a GTP? I didn't see one person say, "Buy an Accord." I for one would have no problem buying a GM car if I were strictly worried about quality.

There are also quite a few people running 5.0L Volvo's. (The old boxy ones) Talk about a sleeper.

There was an S13 with an LT1 at the Grassroots Motorsports $2005 Challange so it is possible. As someone also stated, RX7's are pretty easy to put 5.0's or small blocks into, along with S10's.

I saw this last week, I think it's great that they offer a guide to modify those platforms and even include part numbers. I like the 1000HP dyno chart too...notice what rpm it starts at.

That's also because Wheldon ran out of gas on his cool down lap and was being pushed in at the time. Also Eric, his name is Vitor, not victor. Wheldon must be a nobody since he's only won 3 or 5 races this season in the IRL. I know you're not an IRL fan, but give the guy some credit.

I would agree with the GTP comments, but I'm also suprised no one has mentioned a WRX. You can already find older wagons for 10-12k, although they're on the upper end of your range.

I just looked through all the pics I have and there are no good angles. If this were a drunk picture contest I would win hands down.

If a 1992 Prelude S with the 2.2L F22A1 breaks a timing belt what needs to be replaced? Are all Honda's interference engines and will it need a new engine? How much does that normally cost? How much would the car be worth?

I'll second everything Jesse said and add that OVR is looking at making this years school a lot better then they have been. They alos plan on doing course walks with everyone so they can see the line. It can't hurt. Seat time is always good. Plus they'er limiting the number of entries so people can have A LOT of runs.
