Wow! I would never think to offer 350 on 900
-
nice finds! where did you find them?
-
I hesitate to ask as I am just getting my head around this but my sister is curious- are any of you using an external hard drive with your raspberry pi or fire stick or atv or whatever to make a DVR? What software are you using if so or how are you making it record? Obviously referring to live broadcast
-
You used an Ethernet cable directly to your router?
-
What does openelec do for you?
-
Haha yeah that's it

I think a wise man once said it takes a large fortune to win a small one in auto racing...

I would get a fire stick or raspberry pi 2 but I already have a roku 3 and a PC with hdmi graphics card hooked to my tv. I also don't even know what kodi is. Is it like software torrents? Movies and premium subscription cable channels uploaded? I thought I saw somewhere there were live channels as well? I have a plex channel on my roku- do I just put that on my PC?
-
Hey all- I am out of my league when discussing this- does anyone currently use KODI or XMBC to watch streaming tv? Apparently there is some android m8s box that will work with it, a raspberry pi, a PC, and a roku but I can not figure out in what combination. I don't know if these are illegal torrents or how it works at all but apparently you can watch lots of cool stuff on your tv with these programs. Thanks in advance!

Didn't you mean turn a positive into a positive?

Welcome to CR! No offense but how much of a time bomb is an 03 WRX with ~435 flywheel hp? I am asking as I have very strong interest in some day building a factory five 818. If the manual transmission swap isn't too difficult, I have been daydreaming about putting the h6 3.0 in my 01 outback wagon in one with some boost instead of the wrx 02-07 non STI engine they recommend. Thanks!

Hey all- I just had some new-to-me rims put on the Outback Wagon at Wheel Medic last Friday. Bryce and Hannah offered me help locating rims and checking fitment details over the phone before my purchase. Then when I brought the rims in, Bryce noticed that the lug seats were ball style instead of tapered so he found me a link and printed it out so that I could buy the proper hybrid lug nuts. They broke down my existing rims and put the rims, hubcaps, and old lugnuts safely back in the packaging the new lugnuts came in without me asking. Bryce then offered me some wheel care tips to prevent corrosion and Hannah has offered to make me a custom set of vinyl center cap inserts that will work with these rims once I get over there to show them the rest of the cap for a very reasonable price. The tires are properly balanced and the whole set looks great! They even threw in a set of metal valve stems and caps that match these rims very well. Bryce said he gave me some special club/Columbus Racing pricing as to provide all of this service and customer support for such a reasonable invoice, I am sure that he did! A great company with great people!

Hey all- I took these off of the Outback. 150.00 OBO. Pictures on the way. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/20/e1635f67b89ca77212a2bd7b9b4e3d98.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/20/17e6c331e8b893b6ebf7ece1fc573de3.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/20/b86dae4a6184b32d4ee11277517a46fd.jpg

Thanks for all of the suggestions- after driving the corvette for two days in a row since posting- there is no way I am getting rid of this car! Thank you Brian and Aaron for your opinions-they really hit home and is why I sold my highly modified coupe mustang to buy the z06 in the first place- I think someday I may end up with a 335 but for right now I am going to play with my subaru wagon and it's new rims
-
It is looking that way for sure!
-
Oh that reminds me, what about one if those 90s TR Volvo wagons built up- didn't they have awd? Edit : I guess those wouldn't handle remotely close to a corvette.
-
The evo's and wrx's are too small and from what I understand (not much) really pushing it to get into the low 12s/11s
-
I got sidetracked earlier and didn't finish my reply... As far as budget I would like to end up with a car that has awd and does the quarter as fast as the c5z if not faster with potential for more for about the same money as my h6 outback and c5z are currently worth. I guess that means about 25k? Regarding the hellcat cherokee, I don't buy new cars anymore, I am too mechanically inclined to suffer that much depreciation. I would consider the new focus RS if it wasn't so small for sure with that being said. Regarding snow tires on a rwd car- besides my laziness regarding the driveway issue- I would hate to get stuck with 2 or 3 small kids in the car (depending on the day). I drove my 435 hp supercharged h/c/I fox body year round for 4 years on all seasons- I only got stuck once and fortunately it was in my neighborhood. Regarding the newer Audis b5/b8 I have only heard terrible things about suspension problems and expense of parts that don't last long? Maybe I am incorrect? And Brian, yes I only drove the corvette about 5 times this year and do not look forward to scraping the windshield this winter on the subie as we have a 2 car garage. When I drove the corvette daily 7-8 months out of the year it was worth it!
-
I do not shovel my driveway or have any plans to start so awd or 4x4 is a necessity
-
ooh good one! I didn't know they had an AWD version of the 335! I wonder how they are for reliabililty/maintenance.

Hey all- Now that I have school drop off duty I have been driving my 2001 Outback Wagon H6 3.0 outside of the winter season. The more I drive it, I enjoy it further. I actually just got a set of BBS wheels for it with the thought I could use them on an 818 someday. Starting to have the crazy idea of selling the c5z and making the subie into a sleeper wagon. If the 2010 or 2011+ CTS-V wagon or sedan was AWD I would already have it. I am basically looking like for a 4 door winter capable version of my c5z. The wife's Acura RL is actually pretty close with some boost, stiffer suspension and a diet. The only car that comes to mind right now that really excites me is the Audi RS7 and its quite a bit out of my price range. I found an old video of an 80s or 90s S2 quattro with 800 HP and a four door version of that might be a really fun project if such a beast exists. Subaru Legacy GT also intrigues me but I think the boxer 4 is too limited in power. The Jetta VR6 may be a good one also but I remember the drivetrain issues shanton had. Just looking for casual thoughts or opinions... Maybe I should actually start working on the gremlin again rather than think about starting a new project- this is truly a sickness... Thanks
