  1. At least she has taste! She could be a angling for a pink jeep wrangler.
  2. His father had an F40 back in the day. I think that is the last Ferrari I would want to own. The new 458 does look nice but after Enzo died, I have not been a fan at all of the brand/marque- just mho- no offense to the Ross family intended.
  3. Hey all- Anybody know what these may be worth? I have my eye on another set of rims and am just wondering what the total out of pocket cost will be. Thanks!
  4. keep tabs on craigslist... a few years ago the going rate was 350-400 they are more rare now though. I would never sell mine. I am tempted to try the Ti bypass mod but would have to get another before messing mine up.
  5. Hey all- Does anyone have a copy of a Windows 7 Professional Recovery Disk? I bought a computer preloaded with Windows 7 Professional and I tried to do the "free" Windows 10 upgrade and my desktop crashed and will no longer boot. After waiting on hold with Microsoft for hours, after telling me to unplug and replug the mini tower in 4 times (seriously) they told me to contact the computer manufacturer. The product key on the side is strangely Windows Vista but I think I need a Windows 7 Professional recovery disk to allow me to repair my copy of windows 7 that I was running to get into safe mode to recover my data. I have tried all of the F1-12 keys. I thought I would throw this out there- My mini tower is a dell optiplex if that matters. I do have an XP recovery disk around here somewhere. Thanks!!!!!
  6. This is actually a really good deal. I paid 240.00 + tax for a bone stock 4x4 ECX Ruckus for my son last year when they came out as the VXL RTR 4x4 stampede was way too expensive. I wish I had seen this then.
  7. Hey all- Looking for a tablet for my son to play clash of clans on. Would consider smart phone instead if it has a large screen. The android tablet I got for free for attending a travel club talk crashes on him frequently. Thanks!
  8. Exactly and a C6Z or C7Z will be dead even or faster in the 'ring for less money. Andy, I don't know why we are even talking about GT cars in this thread? The OP asked about 86-98 cheap 911s? And I never even brought up my C5Z but I will admit when he mentioned the LS swap I was definitely tempted ;-) My father had a 1 of 16 M491 cab he bought new and only drove about 10K miles he sold back in the early 2000s. Neither he nor I miss that car in the least. If you are looking for a track beast and are Porsche crazed why not an SC or 2.7 car and LS swap that- The 993/996 fiberglass will bolt on. If you want status the later cars are a bargain to be had. FWIW I threw Danny Popp in there as he is the best corvette driver I know and I have heard Andy is quite the driver.
  9. I hate to burst your bubble- but the generation of cars you are talking about are valuable because of the air cooled engine and pure feeling that newer cars have muted due to bigger sway bars and tires (not my words) A Renegade Hybrids swap and a set of non Porsche wheels to one of these shells will not allow you to "easily get your money back or profit" in any way whatsoever. I don't know how the 911 RH kits are but I have personally done the RH 924/944 V6 V8 kit and I wish I would have started from scratch with my own kit.
  10. With Danny popp driving my c5z I think it would be quite interesting
  11. Buy a 951 (944 turbo) and destroy any 911 (not newer 930s) in any contest in those years for 8-12 grand. Have you ever driven one? They are neat but they have to be one of the most overrated cars of all time.
  12. Thanks for the tip (Michelin PS) -But I am too cheap for those bad boys! 1,500.00 vs 850.00 in a tire that will be shot in under 15K miles and 3 years. The Nitto NT-05s I put on were a ton better than the old F1 SCs but they are about worn out.
  13. OP- nice car! If the RS is the AWD 315 hp turbo one, I am as well!!
  14. I have had several subsequent owners of my fox body coupe contact me- I almost bought it back twice now but remembered in time, thankfully, why I sold it and how much better the c5 z06 is in every way. Off topic but in regard to this "Liz" that bought and sold this car- how was that photograph taken? Surely not a cam phone but it appears you would have to be shooting through the windshield. That is really good, beyond the subject. Has the color saturation been tweaked?
  15. Hey all- Can any of the site sponsors or local tire shops get a hold of these tires? Looking for 2 - 275/40/17 and 2 - 295/35/18 and 4 TPMS sensors and nuts. Also need access to a Tech II scanner Thanks! Andrew
  16. I rented one from nations rent when I did mine. Never do that again...
  17. I agree- sounds like fuel starvation. More than likely a fuel line is rotten and broken/cracked as ethanol fuel eats them- That or filter clogged with ethanol gas residue. Good luck! Once you get it running be sure to run it out of gas or better yet use ethanol free gas they sell in the quarts.
  18. This picture was taken at night? Impressive!
  19. Granted I am cynical but have you been able to collect any damages or recover loot from the thieves, have they been put in jail or fined?
  20. I do not know anything about the quality of work Central Ohio Engines performs. I spoke with a guy in the staging lanes at MCIR that was greatly enamored with them however a few summers ago. I do know that they have new ownership (might explain the number being disconnected) but retained most of the same employees last time I was there.
  21. I don't know what you have out there but usually the police can't do anything with the footage you record. Someone that knows what they are doing will wear a mask and those that do not likely don't have a record to look up. They aren't going to put out a most wanted ad for a burglary/vandalism and usually your homeowners insurance deductible is so high and limits on easily stolen items (firearms, jewelery, tools) make it a royal screwing. I install and monitor alarm systems on the side and suggest you get a dog. Alarms are great for making sure you are awake in the event of a home invasion and alerting the police to come to your aid for personal safety, not so much for securing non-living valuables. Make sure you post a beware of dog sign or they will probably sue you for all you are worth if your dog mars their toenails.
