  1. I miss this one the most... http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/mycar.jpg This one second... http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/RSX-S/rsx20sm.jpg
  2. OOPS forgot to mention this is on a 70 AMC Gremlin Hey all- Previous owner had installed a biondo line lock which would not release after removing power requiring that he crack open a line to release the wheels. We reinstalled it and no surprise the same thing happened. We bypassed it and the brakes worked as before. Thinking the line lock was the issue we bought a new one from JEGS. Same deal. We don't have the inlet and outlet mixed and are completely adding and removing power (no switch yet). It is easier to blow through in the reverse direction so we are thinking of trying it that way for the heck of it. We have it installed directly from the outlet of the master cylinder to the line lock and then from that to the front brake line tee. One side immediately goes to the drivers side wheel after the tee and the other side goes through a differential brake pressure switch and then to the other wheel. The brake pressure differential switch is not supposed to block or restrict flow only indicate when brake pressure is higher or lower front to rear and set a light. We do not have it wired. Maybe this is the issue? The front rubber brake lines have been replaced a few years ago. The pedal seems to be very hard with limited travel and high off the floor with or without the line lock. It is a manual brake setup, it will not go to the floor- something else bottoms out (probably the master cylinder push rod). The previous owner said he replaced the master cylinder as well. It was drums all around from the factory, previous owner put disc in front and wilwood proportioning valve in rears to balance rear drums. It now has 4 wheel disc (8.8 rear) with wilwood valve still installed. No factory proportioning valve is installed. Any ideas? I am going to pull a number off the master cylinder and see what it is but I am not sure how to proceed. The drum/drum m/c is supposed to have a check valve and no residual pressure release. My dad thinks the brake differential switch is causing it and that we should tie in after it? Thanks!
  3. does it have two fwd engines or do they come awd? Can anyone find a build thread/details?
  4. I wasn't a big fan of the paint job but man did it sound good-- is that the r8 engine?
  5. Hey all- You pulled out in front of me from your driveway onto riverside drive. At first I was a bit peeved but your car sounded phenomenal, so I quickly forgave you. You drove it like you stole it. Maybe you did from your dad/mom for the day? Are you on here?
  6. They say the second happiest day in a man's life is when he buys a boat. The first happiest day is when he sells it. Don't know that much about GTOs but I would imagine that your 70 is an appreciating asset where a boat is a depreciating asset that requires lots of maintenance.
  7. Tried the Innovate LM-2 for the first time and it was non-functional. Sent if off for warranty replacement/repair a few weeks ago- apparently the fellow that works on them works somewhere else and wont be available till after the 4th of July....
  8. Aren't the C6Z's down in the 30s now? +2 on why you aren't ready for a corvette?
  9. About time! Thanks for sharing. Whatever happened to the marion grudge racing?
  10. Thanks for your replies- I guess it won't hurt to try- a bigger radiator/air exchanger (if I relocate the tranny oil cooler) with a water to air has to be better than a similar sized air to air even without a tank.
  11. Hey all- Does anyone have experience with the online air to water intercoolers (frozenboost)? I really don't have room up front for more than a 7"tall air exchanger (sharing space with a transmission cooler) to cool the water once heat soaked-. In order to run the ice tank, I would have to lose the back seat which doesn't thrill me- I guess I could relocate the transmission oil cooler somewhere but I still wouldn't have that much depth- I have a very large dual electric pulling fan setup fwiw. 12-15 psi single rear mount turbo - under 650 rwhp. Thanks!
  12. You are probably going to want to note if you want vacuum or mechanical secondaries?
  13. Well with all the modifications we had to do, we might as well have fabricated a new driveshaft loop... next is figuring out how to get the seats back in. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/image_zpsf85cb20c.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/image_zps3bbe8cb2.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/image_zps1ec4de9e.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/image_zps7a548efd.jpg
  14. Hey all- This is a brand new, never installed Smog delete pulley from Pro 5.0. It is quality made in the USA of billet aluminum and has a ball bearing design. It only weighs 2 lbs and uses existing hardware. I had to install one of these on my foxbody when I added the centrifugal supercharger setup. 65.00 OBO Thanks! http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/smogpulley_zps8e4deb7c.jpg
  15. Oh can't believe I almost forgot--- 93-97 LT1 F-body! Pro: SLA suspension, good brakes, good engine, great transmission, good stereo (if 10 speaker equipped), more utility than you would think cons: pretty heavy, weak rear but only if you drag race and many solutions out there- cheap build quality, hard to work on engine, lots of gm quirks (power window motors, t-top seals, headlight motors, but the f-body infobase is huge so the fixes are well documented.. A 1LE model would be best but rare. My '96 Formula was a lot of fun- the 5.0 mustang was much more fun but I had a lot more money in mods in the mustang.. My brother-in law is 6'7 and he fit in my f-body much better than my old notchback.
  16. Unless they have gone up in price you should be able to find an S14 (95-98) Nissan 240 SX in that range- maybe not an SE but we loved our 95 Non SE.

What's going on? Have you been out to MCIR yet this year?
  18. What about an older Jetta? I worked on a 2000 vr6 that was "spirited". Some of those look pretty cool- dunno much about them. You didn't mention it but If you want cheap to maintain, reliable, and somewhat sporty you better look nowhere other than honda or ford with nissan a distant second IMO. Older german cars are fun but you kind of have to be sentimental to put up with them for a daily. What does an early RSX cost?
  19. From what I see a sn95 (94-98) car will cost less than a fox body (87-93) believe it or not. Definitely a 96-98.
  20. ooh thanks, I will try this!
  21. what heads are on it?
  22. Anyone have a set of Service manuals laying around for the c5? I bought a cd version years ago but I can't get it to work with windows 7. Thanks!
