  2. So....6 people have done this out of how many that have tried? Kind of hard to say that is the norm or even what it "should" run.

  4. Is that 11.8 the best ever pass on a bone stock Z? I've heard of mid to low 12's being the norm, but maybe a handful of people in the country have hit 11.xx bone stock. If those were posted with weight reduction maybe, but that isn't normal at all.
  5. Looks like it has 4 cylinder seats, so it was probably converted. You would have to check and see about the rear end if it was a conversion. Also, "The oil pressure gauge doesn't always work" is not a good statement. When I spun a bearing the oil pressure would be fine one minute, then go to nothing. I "thought" that the sending unit was going bad until the crank decided to snap. I wouldn't buy this car, but that's just me.

  10. It's an e-thug comment, so that is the response you got. Where did anyone state that the heads in question were explorer heads? They made aluminum GT-40 heads too. 300 wheel isn't too far fetched with those, with the right setup. I'm done with this, since it's not really that important and it seems that you need to piss on the other guy a little more anyway.

  12. Maybe you should state what you mean then. Did you say anything about cam choice? I don't think you did. Also, 310 ci isn't a 302, but who is counting that? Also, what about port work? I realize that isn't allowed in factory stock, but the point of my post was to show that with very little you can make the power. Just have to know what you are doing. By the way, the look up reading comprehension is still my favorite e-thug post. Thanks for making me laugh.

  16. It's not just motorcycles at Trails, it's anything that isn't in the street car lanes. That's the way it's been there for as long as I have been going. Motorcycles don't bother me that much, but when you have to wait an hour because a "race" car spilled all over the track only to have the next set of "race" cars go down and one break to end the night, you get a little annoyed with it. This type of stuff happens more often at the end of the year too, so be prepared.
  17. Your dad's camaro is the most impressive new one that I have seen run at the track and it has the power disadvantage of being the auto version. Saw it run at Kilkare a few weeks back in case you were wondering.
  18. I know better 60's are possible, but I think he has already gotten low 1.5's out of it. I think some tube bracing is going to be in order for him at some point. Can't remember if he did that yet or not.

  20. I honestly don't know that colder pavement and extra horsepower are going to work out well right now, but once he makes some tweaks to the suspension for next year it should hold it rather well. Thanks about the baby as well.
  21. If I go, it will be just to watch. Depends on how things are going with my wife. She's due the day before Thanksgiving, but you never know.
