  1. This man speaks the truth. I think OSU ponchos are $3 at Kroger. Go get two and quit crying about getting wet.
  2. 10lbs of protein in a week? That's disgusting.
  3. I'm almost sure that he has a wet kit, so that doesn't use the injectors. I could be wrong. With the hood down, his car looks just like mine. Too bad I make about 300 wheel less.
  4. The typical response from people who don't like drag racing is that it's just a straight line and how hard could that be. It's funny when someone assumes that because they have a car set up like a car that runs say 11.80s, that their car is automatically an 11.80 car. I'm just saying that there is a lot more to drag racing than just going in a straight line. Too many other factors to think that it is that easy. Giving up so soon doesn't make sense either. If you aren't happy with your times then work on it and maybe get some advice on how to get better times. Don't just give up on it.
  5. I thought everyone said that drag racing is easy and all you do is drive in a straight line? I guess it does it take some skill.
  6. I think someone on here said that if you're not breaking you're not racing, or maybe it was if you're not breaking you're not fast enough. Either way, parts break and that is when you get mad and decide what you really want to do with the car. I've been there twice this year. Once with the tranny, which was then built to handle some abuse, and once with a halfshaft. Both times I was mad at first, then sat back and decided where to go with the car. Just let off some steam and decide how far you want to take it.
  7. Track wasn't that bad. I was on radials and ran 12.11, 12.14, 12.15. Track held pretty well for 480rwtq on sumitomo's. It was nice that no one was there too. Worst part was that the dicks closed 25 minutes early. They were whining about having to get up early today for an event. Maybe they shouldn't advertise being open until 11 then.
  8. What did it put down? Just curious to see the difference between the pulley I have and the one he is using.
  9. This guy would know. I can't tell you how many of these he has broken over the years in different cars. Cheap ass pieces that don't like abuse. I broke the 3-4 fork in my old style TKO and put in a much better piece that JPC sold at the time. No more broken fork. Good thing is the newer style TKO's have a much better fork setup. I hear man-whoring can get you the cash you need . If you ask Dan(90Gt) nicely, he might be able to help you out.
  10. I guess I just don't like what was going on there. No track prep and turds running water up to the line. Not my idea of fun.
  11. Must have been before the e-brake was pulled......Someone had to.
  12. Is it normal to see such a spike in torque, then have it go down after that? I figured that it would be relatively flat.
  13. They did zero track prep for this last year. The weather was great. Sun was out and it was maybe high 50's, but no track prep. The only decent pass I made was when I followed a tubbed vega on giant slicks. That was still a bad pass compared to the Thursday nights last year that we went to Kilkare. Also, by the end of the day I was ready to flatten some kids face. Don't need that. Basically this was a few people who had a clue about drag racing and a bunch of punk asses who would rather try and start fights than actually race their 16 sec POS. That is all. One more thing, I think this was the day that Sam's turbo decided to come apart.
  14. If he melted a plug, then I would do a compression test. Just to be safe.
  15. One of nicest guys around too. Now he just needs to get some seat time in it and see what it can pull at the track.
  16. I can't believe you actually had to post this. I guess people don't understand the whole "package" of drag racing. Taking a nap at the line will usually net you a loss, unless your car is that much quicker.
  17. I was wondering when you would join. Welcome.
  18. If I ran a meth lab, I wouldn't tell you about it . Besides, I technically live in Columbus now. Get it right.
