That was Pete Ricarts car. I think the guys at Trails suck him off everytime he is there. It's really disturbing. He was running the black Fairlane in the big tire class as well.

Anything that is "hybrid" meaning a motor from a different manufacturer is ruined to me. Just my opinion and I really don't care what he qualified, especially since he didn't win.

Seeing Pettrey all over Tressel during that sequence almost made me want to jump down to the sideline and put him in for Tressel. I'm sure he lost all of Pettrey's respect on that decision. The kid was right next to him almost begging for the chance, especially after the penalty was declined. I couldn't believe it. I think my eyes went crossed trying to figure that one out.

Congrats guys. I'm just mad at myself for never having done a rental before. Can't beat turning the car off at the beginning of the lanes and coasting up to the tower and not having to wait in line to run.

No, I was way too aggressive with the launch and it may have moved 6 inches after I let the clutch out. All the guys on SVTPerformance that run anything exciting run on bias plies and say that they are much easier on the IRS. One guy I was talking to said that he would dump the clutch at 5500 on bias plies and cut 1.58 60' times with no suspension mods at all. That was also on the 17" ET Streets and not the larger sidewall bias plies. I'll have to dig up a set of 15x7 or 15x8 rims and put some good tires on the car here soon.

He did lift early. Car was trapping 154 and there it went 13x. Wow.

I'm just glad that Dan had the sense to turn the car off and not make a pass when it started to come apart. I think it took 10 minutes to clean up at the line, so it could have been much worse. Of course, the hole in the oil pan is never a good sign, but the car had that setup for the last 4 years and was running mid to low 11's everytime out, so it's had a lot of use. Time to build it stronger.

Got a new PB for the Cobra of 11.85@119.96 with a 1.94 60'. I was being very easy on the launch, because I wanted to drive it home and not watch it get towed. Time to put some bias ply tires on it and let it rip.

Still liked the comments in the stands. "Did that White Mustang just go 10.40's?" Damn right it did. I think 10.20s are there, just need to put it all together.

Cracked windshields don't pass tech normally, but I don't know about tomorrow. My guess is no.

Should be interesting. I'd like to get an 11 sec pass on radials and then not have anything break on the tires that I am going to try out. I've heard bias ply tires are easier on IRS parts. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I figured that there would be atleast one smartass on here to give this response. I mean that I would like to see someone who has a fucking clue behind the wheel drive a Z down the track. Hopefully that helps .
