Don't forget to add the Carolina squat and it's all win all the time

Automatic transmissions tend to be easier on drive parts in the off-road environment especially when needing to switch between forward and reverse. and being able to put it in park is a very nice feature and safer. I wheeled a serious toyota pickup a long time that I V8 swapped and ran MT and auto in it and I'd take auto over manual every time of it's gonna be off-road or a pavement queen. Manual to me is for control in racing. That being said it's fun to shift my Deuce but It's more for LOLs anyway.

Us and our girls been doing the same thing, yeah I said earlier I'm embarrassed to be in this time watching it. My daughters are into performing arts so we enjoyed some of the acts anyway but blah.

Transmissions that are a bit better for one, I saw a lot of complaints over failures, who knows just what I saw on the net while looking so take it for what its worth.

I looked at the Suburbans and found that the 2000's and up you really need to find the 3/4 tons to get the good stuff and they were pretty rare where I was looking so I went another route.

My 6x6: Deuce and a half 12 ft bed wasn't enough to haul some 20' rebar I needed for my garage slab recently so I had them cut them to 10' lengths so it's all relative lol. We had a 2005 double cab tacoma with a cap on it and it was perfect while the girls where small.

I'd get a Toyota Tacoma with the rear locking diff. By light off-road I guess you mean you don't want to put dents in it? I wouldn't take anything I have to depend on into mud etc, that shit is for teens and twenties. A Tacoma would tow what your planning and be very nice for driving and the reliability is gonna be the best in the business. I towed my trail truck everywhere with mine and put 300000 miles on it without issue.

There's a ton to know about buying a scope and looking at the specs on that scope, its a good beginner one for sure. The two really big things are the diameter of the main lens or in your case the primary mirror which is 127mm which is about 5 inches and then the F ratio of the scope, in this case F/7.87 which makes it a very good middle of the road scope. A lower number would make it good for "wide views" and a higher number would make it much more suited to looking at planets and kinda hard to use to find galaxies etc. The tripod is the only cheap part of that scope and that could be fixed easily by upgrading or modifying, ie remove the tripod and install the mount onto a heavier base. That would probably eliminate the biggest frustration of using that scope when viewing planets at higher power. I personally have a Celestron scope that was made in 1984 and the brand is high quality for consumers and professionals.

I know right, I've made due with single and barely adequate 2 car garages forever and I'm finally in a position to get myself a shop, its still not gonna be huge, but it will do way more than I've ever had and I've been thinking about it so long and the last few years creating it in sketch up and thinking about ideas that I've got it down to how its gonna work out very well for me. I'm almost ready to pour concrete at this point I have a bunch of rebar I'm gonna lay down this weekend if all goes well and I have a concrete guy who's gonna come do the pour and finishing, I'd do it myself, but that's just to much concrete for me by myself. The building materials should arrive in about a month and it should go up in two days, I'm really excited and at the same time its hard to get my head around it actually happening because its eluded me for so long.

https://www.telescope.com/mobile/index.jsp https://www.telescope.com/index.jsp I've been serious in astronomy for over 30 years and love helping people get into it and learn about it. The used market would get you an amazing telescope for not a lot of money. So many people buy them and never use them. There's also a ton of junk out on the market but anything in that link I posted will be reasonable quality compared to stores etc. Even cheap ones these days have computer drives and can make using them very easy and it really doesn't take much of a telescope to enjoy the moon, planets, and tons of deep space objects like star clusters, ie the 110 Messier object catalog was created by guys in the 1700s with far weaker equipment than a child's toy these days. If they really want to get into it Perkins observatory on Delaware has a very active club, I went there a lot when I was still in Ohio.

My big issue is gonna be condensation and summer heat. I think if I lived in the north radiant heat would be big on my list and I'd probably try to DIY something.

I finished running my electrical and network conduits to my garage site today. I have the concrete forms done and am picking up rebar tomorrow morning. I'm also planning a loft, right now I'm thinking 16x20, though I'll probably wait a while on it and it might change as I get to using the building. I have enough to do and lumber prices will be more stable by the time I'm ready.

I'm completely nuts and think their on the same side against us and everything they do is a song and dance to keep us opposed. Its come to the point that united we are a threat to those in power, doesn't really matter who that is. I can't agree with the far right or the far left and simply want to be left alone. To me the party that will leave me alone the most gets my vote and that party is typically republican if you can exclude the "religious right". Democrats simply want to much under the guise of "the good of the many" for my taste and I work too hard for my place in life to be forced to give it away. Now having said that there is always going to be the problem of the lowest common denominators and they need something to do. I don't know how to solve that problem, but the "right wing", "they just need to work harder", or the democrat "educate them" montra' are not the anwser. We don't just plant vegetables and hunt anymore the world is to complex for that and both sides need to do some actual good and work on this. I bet we could even come up with a solution, but neither side will be happy. So we're left with that "song and dance" I mentioned and we just fight it out every 4 years in the voting booth.

I'm not digging it back up but a few pages back or in the original thread I linked to a 2016-2018 whatever article published by the American dental association stating that masks during procedures did very little to stop airborne viruses however were effective at stopping large droplets like spit etc. This article was written in response to concerns about the viruses of the early 2000s such as SARS whatever.

The back of mine was only a little over one foot lower than the front and here we don't have to worry about frost lines so I ordered 30 tons of fill and rented an excavator for a day to get it level. I just installed the slab forms and am waiting for the hurricane to move out so I can do the Rebar and get someone to come finish the concrete.

That makes way to much sense and will never work. To reply about where I get my data. Reading data sets, charts, and risk factors is something I'm actually good at and the data from the very sources that are trying to scare us, once analyzed to factor in age etc proves that to the vast majority it's not dangerous. If anyone doesn't have the capacity to understand data sets then I can't help them and we'll just have to disagree. I'm even ok with dying from it and don't expect the planet to protect me while destroying businesses and futures of millions.

Interesting problem really, I'm not gonna change anyone's mind and no one's gonna change mine but I simply don't believe in the problem and I'm backed by my own science just like believers are backed by theirs. I believe the danger has been greatly overstated and the data proves this over the past 10 months. The masks didn't prevent anything it's simply not as dangerous as we were led to believe. I also do not believe either side of the political spectrum has my best interest or safety in mind when making any decision.

I only go to places that don't make an issue of me not wearing a mask. Mostly places contractors go and places that don't give a fuck and love their customers such as mexican restaurants. I work for myself and simply don't take jobs that require masks. I almost never have an issue except when going to some place that employs white trash, they seem to get off on yelling at everyone to put on masks. I see many people telling them to fuck off and it works.

LOL, I'm still in that awkward age where you don't get discounts.

Is anyone using Spectrum Mobile? I've been doing work in their stores installing the Kiosk for VOICE-DATA-TV-blah blah and I recently had to call them to make cable service changes and the reps wouldn't stop bugging me about switching lol.

We're on T-Mobile right now, the wife hates it because she works in a cell phone hell where she doesn't get signal. To be fair no signal works good in that area and I do a lot of work installing external antenna's on retail places to get Cradlepoint devices working on all the networks, Verizon, ATT, etc. I think what I'm going to do is switch myself to Verizon and switch the wife and two kids to something else that maybe uses Verizon towers. My use of the phone is nearly 100% business and it would be better for my accounting to make it separate. Anyone got any suggestions?

There's a ton of companies here that shut down permanently because they couldn't operate at 50% capacity or the types of companies that cannot operate under distancing rules. Bars, restaurants and hotels had a rough summer and there was a lot of small family places that are gone.

I got 2 10x10 roll up doors coming for my shop. They don't cost any more than shorter doors and I needed at least one to fit my military truck anyway. Residential height doors are really limiting and full-size vans and SUVs can scrape if there is any step up into the garage or the door springs need adjustment.

Awesome work, awesome pic great memories for your boys.
