  1. I didn't get in fights with people over it, didn't wear it pretty much anywhere except in medical offices as well. I do a lot of work in those settings and I understand. Outside of that I don't agree and do not comply and visited places I knew didn't care. Our governor decided to tell the schools to create a form to fill out and allow kids to opt out of masked, my wife had that turned in the same day.
  2. Your almost there! Is there any special thickness or hardware being installed in the concrete for the lift? I've never looked into that types requirements. I did install additional thickness through the center of my pad for future 2 post lifts, however I'm still up in the air as to whether I'll actually install one.
  3. I wasn't able to watch things yesterday, I was out on a bigger job all day. I'm back in my seat this morning. Last night I was reading a little about crypto mining the other currencies. I've looked into it over time as its something I've always been interested in on the nerd side of things. Anyone doing it still? I have several old servers that run 24/7 anyway so I could put them to work on something, I usually have them doing numbers for the World Grid projects doing medical research. As I understand it it requires way to much electricity to be effective these days without serious processing power however maybe there is currencies it would be effective with since I was reading that not all are as complicated as bitcoin. IDK, just letting my nerd out for a bit.
  4. I've been seeing some good things about Ethereum seems like it's technology is more future proof than some. I'm no expert and I don't plan to put money on it at this point though I might if I see a pull back from the current hype. I also saw some news that they picked up some bigger players and do expect growth over the next year.
  5. They call them bag holders, sometimes if you hold long enough it pays off but most don't have the patience for that.
  6. Myself I ain't betting on it soon. My brain tells me the hype will run it's course at least for the short term. It could get to $10 if it did it very fast but eventually people will move on to something else and it will normalize and then gain slowly for a time until it either becomes permanent as a currency or fades into history. The huge gains come and go if you look at a 10 year bitcoin chart you'll see what I mean and the run could be slowing down soon if not already I guess we'll see what SNL brings. All it will take is another stock to make the headlines and everyone will jump ship. The job for us is too know what that stock is now before everyone else hehe lol. People said GME would hit 1000 and even 10000 too because it was going up forever lol. Have to remember I'm not an investor and typically don't look beyond the daily charts except for some basic price direction for my daily moves. I find I'm good at predicting the next 5-10 minutes and not so good at daily weekly stuff.
  7. What's he doing on SNL? I don't think it's Elon's style to be involved in some shady insider trading stuff but makes you wonder if he didn't accumulate for months and is now selling to the Robinhooders.
  8. Thats what I got from some quick reading. I decided since I was not working and just doing market testing today I'd follow dogecoin with some paper trades and so far its not working out great for me. That one I posted the chart on made me 1%, but I'll call that one luck as the chart hasn't moved predictably since and today is feeling like forex to me and if it was real I'd be at 0 or -1% so far. This is just using Yahoo's charts as my TD ameritrade accounts don't do crypto so I can't get good charts up for any of it.
  9. Thats really awesome! If it gets where people are talking less you can always get out and enjoy it, or better yet, set a stop loss for something ridiculous that it probably can't get back down to and let it ride. One of the big problems for stop loss is people don't realize if you set them to tight the "market makers" know the orders and will create a situation where the stock will fall back and hit peoples stops, thats one of the reasons stocks tend move more when they hit round numbers and especially 1.00, 1.10, etc. It kicks out the timid, or the uninformed and allows the big boys to collect more shares, same thing in reverse for shorts.
  10. This is the chart at 9:49am Price moved up about 1% and I can see the stochastics starting to weekend so I'd probably have my hands on the sell keys. Then if I was feeling frisky I might do a short sale and catch it on the downside as well, but it would depend what a multi day trend has been in the stock and if it has moved far enough away from the mean div to make that type of back to back play. Those usually work great the day after an earnings call or other big news when the stock is oscillating rapidly. As you probably guessed I love talking stocks and crap, been into it since I was a teenager in the`90's and its probably the one serious hobby that's never waned for me.
  11. Is there something thats going to push Dogecoin past $1 or just social media hype? I've been reading a lot about many of the coins lately since its a topic that comes up in discussion, but I'm just not seeing any fundamentals to support a ton more gain extremely quickly anyway. Lets have some charting fun just to see the technicals that I use real quick, I don't know much about crypo or forex charts and this is just a simple one off yahoo showing price action, MACD, and the fast/slow stochastics which are what I use on stocks. This ones a 3 month chart, I could be wrong due to some social media event that pushes the price higher, but the chart is kinda 50/50 to me and the stochastics and showing the price near a top probably for the next couple days, but of course weekends seem to be playing tricks on things. My problem is that without actual news of progress for the currency these price increases can't be supported over the next months and could be days or weeks from the downward slide back to "normal" The next chart is a 1 day chart which I look at for intraday trading and at the time I captured this one 5/7 9:32am it looks like the stochastics are pointing the price to go down for the next few minutes and thats where I'd get interested in a quick scalp, especially once the MACD also shows signs that it dropped to a bottom and is meeting resistance, once the fast/slow stoch and MACD point to a bottom forming the price typically starts moving back up. This is because huge trading computers and other traders notice as well and start moving the price creating a self fulfilling situation. As I said this is how I look at stocks and may totally not work with crypto however looking at the charts it seems like they follow stocks movement better than forex, but all this is crazy speculative considering a tweet can blow it all up either way at any moment.
  12. TBH, I tried watching forex a few times over my life and I just haven't learned it and I haven't found any predictability in the intraday charts at least for me. Crypo at least during its moments of high movement is probably somewhat similar to stocks from what I'm looking at in its charting so its possible I could scalp gains on it however I'm getting within weeks/months of being able to make a career change to full time trading and I simply can't risk blowing up everything I've worked for these past years. A lot of sacrifice to create a low income need and a lot of saving to get above the threshold to be able to trade and make the gains necessary to live while I continue to grow. Its very hard to resist the temptation of huge gains, but the rule "plan the trade/trade the plan" applies. Trading isn't going to be my path to quick riches and will be just another job for a while and maybe even a long time. In recent years I started my own IT business and its doing fine, but with health problems that cropped up I'm afraid I won't be able to continue that and really never have been able to put the effort I know I should into it so its been very annoying. The transition to day trading will hopefully allow me to work during the peak times of the market 9:30-11:00am and then do other things or give myself plenty of rest without having to deal with clients, phone calls etc.
  13. Luckily I've never really had much to lose it all before I learned my lessions, a few thousand here and there, but I had a few times in the past 20 years where I had full intention of holding long on things I knew would work out well, but life threw me curve balls and had to close the positions. Very annoying, but oh well it has given me time to think and to learn. I just hope people who are up a lot decide to take the profits because its not real until you cash out and I'd rather have 200-300% in my pocket then be up that much and lose it waiting for 10000%. I've read stories in the news lately of people who bought in at like .0002 or some other ridiculous number and they are up to life changing amounts in the millions and still holding for the LOLs.
  14. I avoid the woulda coulda shoulda by keeping to a rule of day trading only. I pretty much exit positions within 10-15 minutes making off with around 1% profit and never keeping positions overnight. I miss out on huge gains but I missed huge loses as well and keep the gains very consistent at 1/2-2% per day that I trade right now a few times per month however I'm working to move into full time day trading. There's so many times I would have been rich if I just held but the risk would mean blowing up my accounts and being ruined in one move so it's far to risky. Not saying I haven't done that in the past.
  15. I'm thinking she better sell it and buy something nice. To get to 1,000,000 the value would have to reach $2.5 each. Right now she's the only person thinking it would go that high, most are hoping for $1 and if it goes to $2.5 quickly it will crash just as fast from all the profit taking. This is one of the problems with all this Robinhood stuff going on. People have no clue they they are in a casino and don't know when to take profit and run. Unrealized gains are worthless but you still feel good and it's gonna feel bad when the value starts dropping from a high. That's what drives the waves in the markets and what I prey on as consistent daily gains as a day trader.
  16. Yeah basically, bit coin and some others are capped bit coin being 21million coins which would make it go up in value pretty much until it's deprecated by another currency or technology.
  17. Your doing the right thing. I simply can't tolerate the risk on these, but I was just telling my wife thats what I'd be doing. I have a brother in law who bought in at 0.17 and is going completely euphotic thinking his $150 is gonna make him rich, but as I've mentioned on other stock posts, you gotta sell when your into profit and take the gift for what it is. This thing could just as easily crash tomorrow and with social media driving things it likely will go down for a while eventually. Buying dips and selling highs are gonna make you consistent gains on this, good luck.
  18. Considering the negative product reviews I read all the time where I can clearly see the buyer didn't understand what they were buying, I'm not surprised it's 1 in 5.
  19. I had an interesting thought yesterday on the matter. Right now if you disagree with the cops while they are interacting with you about speeding, jaywalking whatever and you become more annoying than they want to deal with that day they simply arrest you and drag your ass downtown. If you lucky and didn't get thrown on the ground and fucked up in the process you get your day in court and if you were in the right your good, but you still might have gotten fucked up for something you were right about and maybe spent the weekend in jail for something you didn't do. It would be a cool thought exercise to imagine a world where the interaction is simple one of "hey you fucked up, take this ticket, we got your info so he's your paperwork" and with that having happened you either get it cleared up or it haunts your ability to keep or get a job, get a DL, go to school, anything really. We live in a technological age why not use it instead of acting like cavemen. I do realize some people will always need the caveman treatment, but a court could decide that later unless we got a really really bad situation that has to be handled immediatly. IDK just some thoughts and there's always going to be the <1% encounters we can't compensate for and they are always going to make the news and make the whole look bad.
  20. I got an 84 yr old black neighbor, we sit and chat all the time and he's never had trouble with the law, always been respectful. He enjoys farming and worked labor jobs before he retired and is a great man. We talk because the whole neighborhood here is his family and so many young guys try to be punks, many move to Charlotte and get in with the gangs there, many get killed and I've witnessed funerals of my neighbors getting killed by cops during traffic stops, one happened 1-2 years ago a few miles down the road. There was kind of an investigation and then nothing, but this is likely the most corrupt police department I've encountered. Don't believe me, look up some of the stuff they've done, a rather entertaining example is NUDE CAT FIGHTS being operated or at least helped along by the county sheriffs office. They were basically forcing women to participate to get released etc, the sheriff ended up getting fired/resigning, but thats just a weird example. I personally have always been very afraid of what "could" happen in a traffic stop and I commented once on that many years ago on here. I have never liked that they have so much control of the situations and that if you want to get ruffed up or worse all you have to do is disagree with them on an issue out on the side of the road. Now with video I believe they are acting better, but we are still seeing the results of bad habits and training which need fixed. You can watch hours of videos on youtube of people pushing back against the police on the side of the road sometimes the accused is a lawyer proving a point for their youtube channel, sometimes its just a troll and it gets pretty concerning.
  21. Can anyone tell me what has happened to Dogecoin in the past month that warranted the price to go from about 0.05 cents to a mid 30 cent range? If it was just some stupid news and meme shit on social media then nothing has changed and the price will settle back to near 0.05. If there was a real change to the company, ie major news of more acceptance, ie a country adopting it in laws or Walmart accepting it as a method of payment then that would be a quantifiable change and the price will probably settle below where its at now, but still better than 0.05 for the future. Right now a lot of the trading is from stimulus checks or other disposable income like tax returns so you have to factor that into any current prices. Its actually kinda sad how these things go up at the same time as the free money flow and its a way for the wolves to take the money from the under informed.
  22. I heard it was made as a joke, but its got a market capitalization of $30 billion. My personal opinion bases only on its chart tells me its still gonna lose value over its high for the next few weeks/months, but this would be a very good case of a completely unpredictable stock in that any silly news could push a bunch of noobs into it en mass and cause a temporary spike, but I think its done as far as a huge run goes for now. Chart is a classic head and shoulders pattern so it normally would mean its gonna settle in for a while and then if its got an merit it will continue to grow over time once the short term guys churn out and the currency develops.
  23. With the mention of some of the big boys creating their own currencies, it worries me where all these are gonna go. Obviously Bitcoin was heading in the right direction and at this point is probably to big to fail. I'm not sure how I feel about an apple currency or any other because this is a currency we're talking about, not something like a "personal assistant" comparing these to Alexa, or Siri and making their own isn't really that good of an idea and there's really not room for a ton of them just like the Bixbi assistant samsung tried (LOL).
  24. Do they have county operated dump and recycling places in Ohio yet? That's something I like about South Carolina we have them everywhere and it's so easy to get rid of anything for free. If I was still in Ohio I'd take all your oil, I can burn it as fuel in my truck lol.
