I'm cheap and handy so I've pieced together a bunch of stuff and built enclosures and modded others to make a pretty nice sounding TV experience. To Goodwill and restores have been a great place to find equipment. I modded some receivers to act as preamps to power old center and sub woofers that lost their built in preamps with my main receiver being a sony I picked up on sale somewhere. Our TV room is kind small and the wife hates electronics and would rather have pretty things sitting everywhere so I've only been able to set up a 3.2 system.

Very nice patio. Im hoping to get started on one at my place this fall. We use the heck out of our grill and fire pit now so I plan to try to give those extra attention.

It's the steel plate for the magnetic car mount that blocks the charging. The case don't help either but some chargers can charge at a little more distance.

I found this company, anyone ever try them? https://www.ipitaka.com/collections/magmount-qi

I currently have a Note 8 and I need a set up for inside my car that will allow a case and a mag mount. Anyone know of a good one? The way it mounts is unimportant as I will likely be modding that to fit my use in my work van.

In the world of machines to me the challenge of building and creating something that interests me is the reward. Once its done I move onto the next challenge. However with something like photography I still enjoy seeing some of the work and get a sense of pride from the finished product.

To my knowledge taking unemployment benefits has never effected my wife or myself for job consideration. She even got lucky during the recession and got two years paid at 80%. it was a great help as she got to be home with our new born and 4 yr old. I agree with the above about getting anything in writing involving the time period and situation since many times she could be cut loose at the end of the furlough. Personally I'd the unemployment and enjoy the time off, you pay into it and its a rare opportunity to get something back.

House bought that was not what it should have been

There is a recourse but works better if you can prove the seller knew about it. Never done it myself but have had this conversation with Realtors. -
I really enjoy what I do as well. I do technology field service (basically an IT handyman) and what that means is thousands of national companies have electronics that need a guy with some knowledge and tools to go to sites and fix things to keep stores and offices running. My job never gets boring as some days I'm fixing a TV, running some data cables, or configuring some cool server or network equipment all in the same day. The best part is I am my own boss and take jobs as I can. I'm one year into my own small company and I have tons of room to expand.

I've heard of this and its kinda a mental thing because the images look to good so its messing with your depth perception. Maybe watch some spongebob or something and see if your still having the issue;-)

I do TV field repair all the time and I see every brand. They all fail and the work I do is within the warranty periods so... I actually really like Samsung's TV's and have many of them throughout my house. The next TV I like is Vizio, they are a "USA" company if that matters to you, though I'm sure the parts are made right next to everything else in Asia;-) The better built Vizio's are really impressive with real metal panels instead of plastic.

The docs nurse kinda does the eye roll thing when he's telling me stuff. From digging into them they're are some cases of him messing up lab work and looking at the wrong patient. I got prescribed a medication which caused some crazy side effects which caused me to get injured and now I'm almost unable to walk. He then looked at my new lab work on a follow up and told me I didn't need to be on any meds totally forgetting that he had previously put me on them. Dude yells at his nurses and patients when they correct him. I keep working because I'm 40 and have a family. Luckily I'm self employed so I can work less and do ok. So yeah, I didn't need an idiot working on me and don't have time to waste.

I understand where you coming from and I started going to a real doctor. He ended up being such a quack and very likely caused me some damage that I should probably look into how to get a malpractice claim going. In my market there are no after hours doctors and almost all doctors are full for months treating retirees. The medical industry is improving here, but I need help now.

I fix pretty much anything and everything, however I'm no longer in Ohio. If you got questions I can help out.

I see my insurance company has a basic online/telemed they recommend for stuff. Googling I found other online/app based doctors, but so far I haven't found any that do more than dermatology, colds, etc. Being self employed its extremely expensive for me to stop working and go deal with a doctor visit. I'm hoping there's a solution for general doctor visit stuff like ordering blood work, etc and reading results and giving advice.

I had to install 1800 feet of line to one of my houses and there are pipe diameter/distance charts out on the net to show you what size pipe you'll need. 2" is what I used and what the county recommended. The big cost was the tap fee. $5000 on Delco water at the time. Here in North Myrtle Beach it's worse, $11000 for water and sewer fee.

My dad and I built a 10x16 one last winter. We decided to built it from materials since he built one from a kit last year at his place and it was really a pain in the butt to deal with all the assembly compared to just working with 2x4's. We built the floor just like the ones pictured above and anchored it to the ground since we're in a hurricane zone. You can get away with pouring a thin pad 2-3 inches if its on a good base and you don't drive cars on it. In Ohio you would need to dig below the frost line and install gravel/sand whatever and it wouldn't crack badly.

You can do it bud. I'm in the middle of the same thing. After a little over 20 years in IT I left my employer a year ago, moved to the Myrtle Beach area and started out on my own. I don't know anyone here, and it was very scary. At the same time I went to a doctor about some stuff and have had some big changes and its been very hard. I do freelance field service work right now because I found that it was going to be the most direct approach to getting my income going. Its silly tier 1 issues, its different everyday, and I have almost zero responsibility for anything because I just play dumb as the guy on the ground and refer all issues back to their helpdesks. I'm working 10-20hrs/week. I plan to expand what I'm doing and to get more of my own clients for a larger piece of the pie, but for now its working out fine.

Most of the router problems I see are intermittent and they get worse until you end up replacing it. Very common actually.

IMO if you ping Google and get good pings from a laptop and the speed tests from speedtest.net come back with good pings and good upload and download numbers the problem could be the play station. Are play station able to access a web browser and do a speed test? Maybe you could compare the results with a laptop And then find something running on the PS that is slowing it down. I think it's the router but if other things work fine on the router that's a little odd.

That's what I'm wanting, real data not the "buy our panels so you can be awesome” scammy stuff I'm getting. I even bothered to put my info in once thinking I was on a legit site and now I get sales calls constantly that don't provide any help either.

Not much help, but I feel like I've seen this before. Now I'm gonna be thinking about it all night.
