I'd think about selling FB. News headline this week with from the BBC, "Facebook dead to UK teens." That doesn't give a great outlook, but whatever.

I think I'd have to shoot it, no way would I fight a bear for about 2sq ft of tree stand if he decided to hop on.

Yeah, stern was a terrible move for SIRIUS and shortly after that we entered the recession. I knew the stock would come up though due to paying attention to all the new contracts they picked up with the various auto manufactures for SIRIUS to be installed on so many models. Also the churn rate for subscribers was around 80-85% so one could estimate that they would start to be profitable or at least get closer to profitability eventually. They made another mistake with SIRIUS 2.0. It was developed just before smartphones became mainstream and totally didn't see tablets coming so it was an outdated under performing upgrade before it even hit the consumers.

4 cent trailing stop.

I nearly max out margin on every trade, only do one trade at a time and focus entirely on the charts. I don't even care what the symbol is as long as I see a set up. I do have a short list of stocks that provide me with consistant set ups that I can put plays on at least weekly and often daily. Sounds risky, but I manage the risk by using the charts to make sure I know the larger trend, the weekly trend, daily trend, and then the current position along the mean line. I use the mean reversion theory and am typically only in a trade for around 10minutes. I can be in all day if my stop loss or trailing stop doesn't get hit, but I automatically sell before the bell to avoid overnight gaps. This puts my accuracy at over 84% for all of 2013 and I plan to maintain the same this year with my only change being to let winners run longer to pull more profit, the risk will remain the same. My goal is 1 trade per week so I wait until I am 95% sure before I pull any triggers. I don't do anything with options or FOREX, I might mess around with options a bit just so I know how it works for when I see the perfect set up someday otherwise I'm staying away. Here's a sample of a Smith and Wesson short I did today. This is a perfect example of what I do. Just a quick scalp, but made off with around $850 utilizing nearly 100K worth of stock. I was a little late getting in and as you can see I got popped out just about where the MACD lines crossed for the reversal. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/SWHC1-9-14_zps3beee4b1.jpg

I'll look into PHOT and others and see if I see anything interesting. Looks like they were doing good until you mentioned them, now they dropped 26% today. Someone took some nice profits, lol. I'm pretty sure we're going to see legalization wide spread there is probably some companies to jump on at bargain prices, but it would take some study to find them and then watch them for a bit to see how they operate before making any trades. Or if you like gambling just throw down like 500 on each of them and at some point one of them will make you some spending money.

I haven't followed SIRIUS for over a year now, I used to watch it very carefully and trade the crap out of it because of its high volatility and its heavily driven by news which novices eat up. Liberty owns a large portion of their debt already so a buy out has been talked about for years. If it does come the stock might spike for a very short time. I'd get out at that point fast. Did you get a good price on SIRI? I held it from 0.11 and sold it around 2.40's and bought my army truck and other toys. I swing traded and watched it from the early 2000's so I know the company pretty well for a trader. If you got good profit on it now I'd sell it. I just don't see them going much further with mobile devices among other things pushing far ahead in technology.

Hey, the 6x6 is plugged in keeping the engine nice and toasty just in case http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/IMG_16611_zpsc62401aa.jpg

Sometimes I run them on my corolla's. Wintermark happens to make one that fits and it works great and they are very cheap. Almost like having a 4x4.

Gimp is an open source program that rivals photoshop's consumer version. Not sure if it handles video though.

I thought I'd post my trailer on here before sending it off to craigslist. Its an all steel tandem axle open car hauler, 7,000lbs GVWR, electric brakes. It has two new tires and two that work, but could use replacing down the road. It was used to haul my off road truck to events and to haul broken cars for CR members at times so not a lot of use on it. It does have a cheap electric winch that may or may not work, but could be replaced cheap and easy. $1900 obo.

What trading platform's do you guys use? My stuffs with scottrade since they are local and they have been awesome to work with. My parents have accounts with TD Ameritrade. I recently took over managing the distributions for them and from what I've now seen with their mobile app and website I'm impressed. Still the price per trade is higher than scottrade. This year I'm going to be building some automated trading systems. I'm relearning VB Studio and might pick up an account with IB. Tradestation is what I'd ultimately like to use, but at the moment it would be a huge cost overhead and unecessary for the volume of trading I do. Once I go full time I'll likely use them and interface via my own APPs for speed.

Thanks for the leads Littleguy, I'm always looking for OTC (over the counter, AKA penny stocks) companies to study, follow, and eventually swing trade. These I monitor very closely and within a group of similar companies I've over the years managed to pick the right ones that had the edge to come out on top. Sadly I've never had any real cash, but what I have managed to pry from my wifes hands I've always done very well with and have been doing some type of trading since before the `90's bubble. I guess I could say I'm also lucky as I didn't lose much either when bubbles popped and during my learning curve. I have relatives who blew up accounts when the tech bubble popped.

I think gold is at a low and will be moving up again slowly. I don't trade the commodity at all, but I do watch the mining companies. AUY is my favorite, solid company, low price stock and high volatility makes for great day trading. I recently took over managing my parents accounts, previously my uncle had been managing them and he had them long in a gold company so they are down enough that its not worth selling. Same with a chinese company he held onto. I'm very rarely long (years) and rarely swing trade either unless I'm 99% sure. I'm in and out within minutes and sell out every position before the end of day bell.

Tesla was a good one this year. I rode DDD from $38, sold at 78. Had a really bad long position that came back up to a more tolerable loss level and got out also. Be nice if any of it was enough cash to matter, but soon it will be.

I hate to jinx anything. I had a great year, planning to trade full-time in a couple years and start putting large cash to it in 2014. My 2013 real money long term/swing trade accounts ended up 27%. My test long term account, up 90% and my test day trading account which I only used for the second half of the year ended up 67%. This year should be similar as far as day trading. I plan to run test accounts all year this time and start with real money around June once, I get my system tuned.

Trust me when I say your exactly the person and family that the assistance programs were designed to help and I as a tax payer want you to put a lot of effort into learning the programs and finding ways to make things easier for your family. I have people in my family that are fraudulently taking assistants from the .gov on an epic scale and they have no disabilities and could easily just work. They are simply lazy and not afraid to lie about their conditions to receive aid. I'm working to get them busted, but the .gov mostly doesn't care and wants me to do all the ground work for them.

The Ohio Multi Use Trails Association, http://ohiotrails.org/ might have some info.

I was going to suggest using lightrooms gradient tool to bring the saturation down just a little up in that corner to make it more real, otherwise good editing work.

Lol, just my luck,I never go there but I'll have to check receipts because I think I was there on that day.

I use silica for my camera gear, I get pretty big bags of it at work. For my guns I keep them probably way to clean and oiled.

Funny I'd mention NAVB and it would pull a breakout within days. 12% today, trailing stop is in place for the ride.

I am of the believe that nearly anything can be worked out as long as both parties are willing and lots of things can be worked out if only one party is willing. Sure the second option isn't ideal, but sometimes it can be necessary to throw pride out and work for the betterment of the family. Leaving is the last option and has its own set of problems.

Adobe itself has some pretty good tutorials on their site. Is there anything in particular your needing in lightroom? Its my goto for photos, in photoshop if I don't know how to do it I search the specific process on youtube.

While we're at it again, any of you guys know where to find a good wealth manager? My Dad is nearing retirement, two years away or so. He'll have a bit of cash, 401k and IRA, but nothing to make him rich. Just enough that a good manager should be able to help them live out the rest of their lives without tightening up much. They don't live outside their means and never did, more on the penny pincher side of things. I give them general advise and do manage a cash account for them, but am in no way qualified to advise on the complexities of retirement and wealth management. Especially since lots of that stuff crosses over into tax code which changes yearly, along with general yearly rule changes on account types.
