I've seen the same effect done with ultra-pure water. When water is at or near 100% purity, the freeze point lowers because there are no impurities for ice crystals to form around. If you drop a tiny grain of sand into it, it'll freeze solid almost instantly.

There are a ton of pics online now, and from the looks of things, the vault flooded with mud as high as the beltline. There were some shots that look like there isn't much more than a few spots of surface rust, mostly the mud LOOKS like rust. Interior is certainly trashed, but all the fabrics are available through restoration companies. The drivetrain isn't really a problem to fix, it's not like the motor was running when it filled up. That said, cleaning it out prior to starting work would be a stone bitch.

There's a few seconds cut out of the video, after the player hands the kid to the ref. One of the trainers stops at the player first, not realizing the kid was involved. The player actually PUSHED the trainer off, and told him to make sure the kid was okay first. CNN.com was saying the kid ended up with 33 stitches on two cuts, and will have a "scar to make Harry Potter jealous".

+1!!! There was a Delorean running around in Bexley a few years back that was quick as hell. No idea what had been done to it, but it sounded like they'd stuffed some sort of V8 into it, as it didn't sound stock. That, and the fact that it was PAINTED silver, not bare stainless, always caught my attention.

Now just exactly what do you think he could do? Can't go back to the inside of the curve without dumping his own bike, can't stay in the line he has because he might run over the other guy or his bike, so he pretty much HAS to go to the outside and whale the brakes. Just bad luck the other driver came across the track, so that he had to keep going outside. And once he was in the grass, forget about steering and braking.
