  1. As was said above, it's a pump action. Huge pump grip kinda hides this fact. One thing I love about it is a shell stop button on the pump grip. Hold it while pumping and it only ejects whatever's in the chamber, doesn't load another round.
  2. should be sold tomorrow, will let bigfoot know if it doesn't go through and so on.

  4. I've got a Benelli Nova I traded my Remington 870. It has a 18.5" smooth slug barrel w/rifle sights, 4 round tube, black finish. Takes 2 3/4", 3", or 3 1/2" shells. The barrel has a little buildup that Hoppes no.9 and elbow grease wasn't able to get out, but a stronger solvent would probably take care of it. I really enjoyed this shotgun and hate to part with it but I'm downsizing my gun collection. Pics coming soon. EDIT: Forgot to mention, comes with 50x 2 3/4" rounds Federal target load

  6. ****SOLD**** It's what you read above. I bought it so the lady could use my other Mak (Bulgarian) but she lost interest and this ended up sitting in a case under my bed. Obviously feels heftier in the hand than the single-stack Mak, but still an enjoyable gun to own/shoot. Russian IJ-70-18AH, with the slightly rarer 12 round double stack magazine as opposed to the 10 round high-cap. Both were commercial production exports. I never shot it but I did a quick clean when I bought it and everything looks in good shape. Obviously not in perfect condition but if you look at what these are selling for, I think $240 is a very fair price. If you want to meet at a range to test it out, that's fine with me. Comes with a single 12 round magazine. You will have to meet me somewhere in the Columbus area and be willing to show me a government-issued ID that says you're 21 y/o, and you must be willing to fill out and sign a bill of sale for both our protection. Pics coming in a few minutes.
  7. Trade + cash or just cash? I have a Russian Makarov w/double stack magazine I'd trade along with some cash.
  8. Important points for investing: Today's headlines are only useful as an indicator of the accuracy of your past predictions/analytical strategies. Know the historic trends. My dad showed me an interesting graphic; periods of recession have followed increased interest rates from the central bank by a margin of, on average, 2.5 years. When interest rates drop again, people are more willing to invest. The Fed has backed off their position in terms of setting a deadline when they'll start moving interest rates, but they were previously saying they wouldn't change anything until 2015. Interest rates are as low as possible. As was posted earlier, now is the time to get very aggressive with your 401k. edit: my dad's a CFA and knows what he's doing. was previously in charge of Nationwide's $60bn portfolio. another note: sequestration is set to kick in soon (March). This will be very painful to investors who are currently in the market, but will be a great time to buy in.
  9. Start looking for a new sitter asap. As in 5 minutes ago. Call friends, call family, call whoever you know might be able to help. The contract that you have with her...does it state that she will be with your son during the care she is providing? If so, she's in breach of contract for leaving your son with a teen. She signed a contract saying til 5pm, she needs you to sign it confirming you're ok with that being 3pm. Doesn't matter what she "meant" to put, if it said 5pm when you signed that's what it is. Sounds like you're in enough of a bind that the 2 weeks may not matter as you need to find another sitter, but in a pinch you can point out she breached the contract as stated above.
  10. Crashed and Byrned: The Greatest Racing Driver You Never Saw Story of Tommy Byrne, a driver so capable he competed against Ayrton for Ron Dennis' ride and of course lost. If you've ever been to the Mid-Ohio School and had the pleasure of learning from Byrne, you'll love this book. If you haven't, you'll enjoy it too. Just imagine a crazy Irishman screaming the words of the book at you while he pilots an S2000 around Mid-Ohio with one hand on the wheel, one hand gesturing wildly between shifts, all while he's looking at you instead of the road. That pretty much sums up my experience with Byrne.

  12. Bottom line is OTD is the only number that matters to the intelligent buyer.
  13. $250 here. Not gonna get into the whole argument about it but suffice it to say that everything the dealer guys have posted here is 100% correct.
  14. How heavy are you? My first bike is the one you see in my sig, Triumph Trophy 1200. Spent a bit more than $1000 to get it, but I bring it up for one simple reason. You need to go somewhere that has a lot of bikes and just sit on a bunch to see what's comfortable. These guys aren't wrong with their suggestions, but I was recommended a billion different bikes and ended up buying one that seemed way out of my league in terms of power and style. I'm 6'3 300lb, so I was looking at cruisers and not finding anything I like with a $2500 budget. I wanted something nice and torquey without being really rough to ride. After checking out a few smaller displacement cruisers, I went to Motohio on a whim since the owner Mike has a Cooper S and comes by to talk cars every so often. He showed me the Triumph he had and as soon as I got on it I felt a bit more comfortable than any of the other bikes. Did some research, found that the thing is only about 500 lbs, has 100+hp, and despite being pretty much the opposite of a beginner bike, I rolled the dice and have been extremely pleased with my purchase.
  15. My roommate's dad was gifted a bottle of Lump of Coal Stout from Ridgeway Brewing. they hates stouts, so I inherited it. Overall a disappointing beer. High ABV and low hops content are usually my 2 favorite characteristics about beer, but this manages to seem flavorless until a smoky/coffee flavor blast hits you at the end.
  16. Sounds like the site is run by someone with his head rather firmly lodged in his colon.
  17. I think it's time we revisit this info. Maybe send him something on ar15 with just a pinch of this info. Someone who is willing to stoop to shipping rock salt in place of pmags would probably not be above stealing from work. Even if he is, I doubt very much he'd appreciate being the scuttlebutt of an office conspiracy. EDIT: NY law, but relevant http://www.nycourts.gov/cji/2-PenalLaw/155/AC.155.Theories.pdf
  18. My LTE is usually 3-4x wifi definitely not as fast as ATT but i've never had problems streaming NHL gamecenter or Netflix
  19. I trekked through southern Venezuela in an old Land Cruiser. They are everything-proof.
  20. This attitude bothers me. Just as it is your right to carry and not do business where you see fit, it is a business's right to not allow you to carry in their store. If you want your rights to be respected, you should respect theirs and take your business elsewhere.
