  1. Kevin Kurgis always gets paid. You don't get a Miranova apartment full of Russian hookers by not getting paid. I'm with the guys that just say you're already working with someone. The people making the calls are just low level drones that don't care if you play games or not. Save your time and theirs.
  2. Taking CR's advice on anything that could be considered an artistic medium :lolguy:
  3. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and mine is that you're doing yourself a disservice by not seeing Frost/Nixon.
  4. I know it sounds like it, but I don't hate on drag racing. It is by far the most difficult form of racing to compete in, because everyone is using the exact same formula and making the absolute slightest changes to achieve that .001 second gap needed to beat their opponent. In F1, .001 can change a race result but teams have 50+ laps and a hundred miles to lose or gain that millisecond. In drag racing, you have 1320 feet and a handful of seconds and that .001 is such a dramatically larger percentage of the whole race.
  5. Dust to Glory is fantastic. There is no purer form of racing than those endurance races. I've always thought of road racing as engaging in a landscape, rally racing as battling a landscape, and Baja/Dakar as conquering Mother Earth herself. Anything else is just tinkering with physics (aka top speed runs, drag racing, etc).
  6. sounds like it's for a good reason but I can only imagine how much business they turn away.
  7. TIL CR knows absolutely nothing about racing if it involves turning. This movie is going to be awesome and is completely different than Senna, which is a masterpiece but not a "F1 never needs another story told" masterpiece. I still want a documentary or biopic for Juan Manuel Fangio. CR will only care about racing movies when Larry the Cable Guy produces, directs, and stars in a John Force film.
  8. Good luck getting an appointment at QWT. Called yesterday and got booked as soon as they could get me in; May 30th :lolguy: :dumb: AAP is gonna put llumar on for me next Thursday for $100 less (premium series price comparison, not base price)
  9. That's right folks, ole' Lieutenant Bacon and his cronies are out in full force collecting speed tax with all the nice weather. I-70E today had the guy on a bridge and 2 squad cars waiting to launch from the onramp, with 2 already on their marks writing tickets. Just a friendly reminder to be careful and keep the money in your pocket.
  10. The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. Albert Einstein
  11. Bump more info coming tomorrow. Car was purchased by my dad used from Hatfield in 2008.
  12. PM DJ (Orion). He knows his shit and knows how to stay within a budget.
  13. before people complain they should be required to spell "dihydrogen monoxide". EDIT: random Florida tangent One time in college I was out of work so I did one of those standardized test scoring jobs, in this case for some Florida 8th grade exam. It was the most depressing thing I've ever done. For 2 hours I read sentences that appeared to have been written by a 2nd grader. During my first break I just got in my car and went home and never looked back. Moral of the story, FL sucks except for income tax.
  14. The beginning of Bioshock is a bit of a grind, but the story is very captivating, the scenery (for an underwater setting) is absolutely astounding, and when played in a dark room with proper lighting settings and a good sound system...well lets just say you should wear some brown trousers while you play. I am several hours into Bioshock 2 and I'm bored out of my mind by the almost copy/paste setting/story from the 1st. Based on the OP loving the game despite the ending, I think I'm gonna get Infinite.
  15. I completely lost it when i got to the time lapse video with the guy "measuring" plywood for the walls.
  16. :lolguy: this thread is totally worth the read
  17. do you have a smartphone? Lose It! app is freaking awesome, has a lot of mainstream restaurants' meals programmed in and you can punch in portion sizes of what you're eating at home and it'll do a pretty good job calculating. It also will help you with your goals; you can input your current weight, your target weight, and the target date, and it'll give you a daily calorie allowance to help you reach your goals, as well as taking into account exercise. http://www.loseit.com/ I've been slacking lately, but it helped me lose (and keep off) 15lbs in a month just in monitoring my diet. EDIT: Someone already posted it, but it's all about calories. Start keeping a food journal, which lose it! can help with, just to see how many calories you're consuming a day. Lets say you're consuming 3000 (what I was at my worst). Just start by dropping 10%. So for 2 weeks, don't consume more than 2700. 2500 is what I did. It really is quite easy to change what you eat to knock that little bit off, and it will gradually change your eating habits to accept less intake. You will be amazed how easy it is to lose it, its more about keeping it off.
  18. My buddy said despite the short gameplay that it was the best ending to any game ever. I'll wait til its on sale and find out for myself. I loved Bioshock1 and recently tried to play 2, but quit when I was nearly bored to tears by it.
  19. EDIT: PRICE REDUCED TO $6000 FIRM It's finally time to sell the White Whale (no, your mom is not for sale here). I'm typing this at work so I don't have all the records on me, but this thread will be updated with pics and info. The Rundown: 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 2.7L V6 4WD 109k miles Has been well maintained with records available. Car is currently titled in my dad's name, but the title is signed and notarized and ready to be handed to you along with a signed bill of sale. He currently lives in CT, and I have been driving this car for the last 3 years. Nice features/recent service: -ABS + traction control (front right ABS bearing broke recently, I replaced the front half shaft with a new, not used part) -Single CD/AM/FM/Cassette so you can blast your Pat Benatar tapes -Power windows, mirros, locks with key fob -Recommended oil changes are every 7500, I've done them at least a little before that, never over. -Cruise works perfectly -Alloy wheels in very good condition, no scrapes/rash whatsoever. -Full time 4WD -4 all-weather floormats come with the car -Recent Yokohama Geolandar tires, all with 9-10/32nds. Great in the crappy weather, not super loud or annoying in the good weather. -Headlight bulbs replaced within the last year, both foglights work perfectly The only blemishes on this otherwise great car are small spots of rust forming on the tailgate lip and a couple pinhead sized spots on the driver rear door. +EDIT+ noticed a couple tiny spots on the hood on rock chips. no perforation, just surface on all spots. I do work at a car dealership so I can't meet you during the day to sell this car (all kinds of conflict of interest) except on my days off, Thursday and Sunday. I do not represent my dealer group, only myself and my dad, in selling this car. To make offers or ask questions, please contact me via PM, at sportcr620@yahoo.com or at 614 522 9433 via text for more info. A few pictures are coming shortly, I'll have more detailed interior shots soon. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn69/caxide/photobucket-53080-1364855941090.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn69/caxide/photobucket-44406-1364855939305.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn69/caxide/photobucket-37458-1364855940204.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn69/caxide/photobucket-45209-1364855938460.jpg
