We should all take a week off and go to Florida....seems like the place to be. I'd like to say dumbass kids but I see more than 1 older person in the footage that should know better. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/videos/us/2020/03/18/coronavirus-florida-gatherings-acfc-full-episode-vpx.cnn

What a shitty situation we're all in. Few things I believe. We will make it through it, there's some really dark times ahead for alot of us, and there will also be some great people doing great things. Good luck to everyone here. Take care of yourselves and your families.

It sucks but at this point drastic steps are needed because the country is proving people are too fucking stupid to take care of themselves and think about others. Sure ..someone may be 20 and really enjoying how empty the gym is but they could also be an asymptomatic carrier spreading that shit to people that are vulnerable. In other words....people suck. While steps are being taken I still don't think most understand just where we're headed. Picture the Spanish flu having a baby with the great depression and they named it covid-19. This is an epidemic some of our grandchildren will be studying in school.

If you see the national guard coming in it's time to disappear. You won't have much time before there's a pilot contemplating the morality of dropping s bomb on your town.

The next week hopefully will wake some people up and more will treat this seriously. No need for panic but smart decisions need to be made. A lot of people are going to die in the next few weeks/months and that's even with us trying to get in front of it.

First thing that goes when you're drinking is your hearing....you get louder as the night goes. Probably weren't even aware of how loud they were being. I've been guilty of it in the past. I live out a ways so no neighbors really to worry about but if I had some I would hope they'd just come over and ask me to turn it down which I would.

This is the way we went with our kids. I've had great luck with them too. Our first one I gave to my nephew. I've had it 12 years and it's now on it's 3rd kid. I have 2 others in the garage now that my buddy gave me. One runs great and my 7 year old rides it. The other has issues. Runs but has a ton of valve noise and burns oil. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to rebuild it or use it for parts. Either way they're pretty dependable and cheap to fix.

I'm in the "up the juice" camp.....just add another battery. 24v is a little much probably but 18 would be a nice little bump.

This thread got me to thinking back to my cb days. I still have a linear in the garage....haven't used it in a long time but talked all over the world on it in the late 80's. Not ham and not legal.....I got to thinking about the tubes in it and how much they probably cost to replace these days. Has 4 6LQ6 power tubes and I thought it was 5 6jg26 driver tubes but can't find that tube online. I'll have to pull the top off to see what the drivers were just out of curiosity. When I was a young teen I talked everywhere with that thing. I used to really get into the cb thing but that was long before the internet.

Picture a guy , presumably named Earl, in a "crain" ( Tennessee spelling) taking video and having Karla tell everyone he loves them.

Just saw this...looks legit to me

Also looks like guys were running those cranes

I shot my 8 on Wayne. Came in to a grunt. I was bent over messing with him and had a doe walk up behind me that had a bruiser following her. They were standing directly under the tree my stand was in haha. If that 8 hadn't came by I'd had a crack at that big daddy. It was late in my hunt week so I wasn't letting that 8 walk.

Nice buck. I had a couple decent guys on cam here at the house but none during daylight really. https://i.imgur.com/efxBOQb.jpg https://i.imgur.com/u7McQOZ.jpg Pics were big and didn't want to resize so there's links instead

Squirrel is never gonna be rabbit haha. I wouldn't eat them if it wasn't for the kids. I usually just do dumplings with them and that's about it. I do have a good white chili recipe using squirrels around here somewhere but never think to make it.
-
Me and the kids got enough squirrels to have a few batches of squirrel dumplings. I shot an 8 during bow season but the rest of deer season was pretty bare. I didn't see a single deer during youth (with the kids), gun, bonus gun, or muzzy. I've never had that happen in 35 years I've been hunting.

I'll be using bilsteins when I do it. I kinda thought that going in but it never hurts to get as many opinions as possible. Going to let the weather break a bit and I'll get busy. Also cleaning up my slider hitch so I can sell that and get an Andersen. My first haul won't be until memorial weekend so I have some time for that.

Did some reading on fluid film today....definitely has my interest. Maybe we can look at getting a group together for it. Not sure what time frame I'm looking at though. Probably pretty soon. Not sure I'll wait until spring but who knows...I tend to put shit off haha.

Haha....it's not that bad. I will say that whoever ordered this truck new got a manual sliding back glass. Pretty much a waste unless someone is in the back seat to open/close it. We travel to va beach with the 5er every year. Normally we stop in PA to where I keep the camper during the summer but we have driven it straight through. That was always hard on the kids because they were cramped in the extended cab. That's not an issue anymore. They recline the seats and sleep most of the time which is better on me haha
-
I know that's a thing now.....I'd like to see a truck that's done. I have this picture in my head of an oily dirty mess under the truck. Is there a downside to undercoating I'm not aware of? It's relatively cheap to have done. The underside of it now is pretty rust free so I'd like to keep it that way. I just got the truck last year. The megacab was a big draw for us. We're a family of 5 with my oldest boy being 6'3. The extended cab Duramax just wasn't cutting it anymore. Long trips sucked for the kids crammed in there. I do miss the Duramax still but the room we have now is nice.
-
Yeah....I'll have it awhile. It's clean and rust free. A trip to ziebart is also planned here soon. Want to keep it as nice as I can which is why I'm gonna level instead of cut the fenders. Probably only do a 2" spacer but I'm also mulling a 1.5". Just need enough so it doesn't rub and right now it just barely rubs at lock.
-
Thanks for the input. My gut tells me to just suck it up and get bilsteins which is what I'll do. My cheap side though is always looking to save money haha. I'm also buying a new hitch so every dollar I can save is a good thing. There's a difference though between saving money and going cheap.
-
You guys always have solid advice so thought I'd ask here. Going to do shocks on my truck. It's an 06 ram megacab 3500 single rear wheel. Recently did wheels/tires and get a little bit of rub at full lock so thinking about doing a 2" spring spacer and while I'm doing that throwing shocks on it. I could trim the inner fenders a bit and stay stock height which is always an option but kinda leaning away from cutting on this truck like I have my others. Are bilsteins worth the extra money? I haven't bought shocks in years and used to always just throw Monroe on everything. This truck is heavier than my older stuff and I do tow a 5er with it. Bilsteins get a ton of hype..just curious if it's just hype or if they're actually that much better. What about KYB shocks...decent?

It's a little vague really and in true odnr fashion confusing. They do that shit on purpose to leave room for ticket writing. It's just in proposal form right now so hopefully it never makes it into law or it's amended. "New proposals also include requiring a fur taker permit for coyote hunting and trapping, and adding coyote to the furbearer trapping season. This proposal was made to better align with other furbearer hunting and trapping regulations, and will ensure proper training will be completed prior to trapping coyote by requiring the fulfillment of a trapper education course. Ohio resident landowners are not required to have a hunting license or fur taker permit when hunting or trapping on land they own."

You see the new proposal odnr has for requiring a fur taker permit (and course) in order to hunt coyote? http://ohiodnr.gov/news/post/ohio-wildlife-council-receives-small-game-migratory-bird-hunting-season-proposals
