I wasn't going to say anything but I'm also curious of the context around that note.

NASA event at Mid-Ohio May 22-24 is still a go with social distancing guidelines, my understanding...

Despite the popularity of the brand globally, not a ton of local resources (FB, forums) for Volvos here in Ohio. Wanting to reset the AWD computer (Haldex rear-end coupler for AWD) and possibly download a tune for my 2005 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD. I know a couple of CR guys had 2000-10 Volvos in the past...does anyone have the bus cable (DICE) that connects the car to a laptop, possibly with VIDA installed to read codes, diagnose computer items, and download a tune from Hilton? TIA!

If he's trolling, then it was a bad job and terrible timing. Plus, his explanation today was in some ways WORSE than his comments yesterday...and show even more that he's not sure how all of this works. https://www.mediaite.com/news/trump-claims-his-comments-on-injecting-disinfectant-were-sarcastic/ If he's being sarcastic, his humor sucks. He's the Dane Cook of presidents. No one was laughing, least of all Donnie. Scary thing? He's not trolling, he's just that clueless...and ultimately doesn't care as long as he can talk his way out of looking bad (in his mind). 3 Things Don should've figured out by now: 1) Stop talking off script. 2) Trust the people around you to do a good job. Communicate your expectations. 3) Own up to the ups and downs like a real leader does. Dude...the media is reporting on what he said. CNN didn't make up that conversation...those were the suggestions of the president himself because, you know, he's interested in this stuff. Instead of blaming the media for Trump's stupid comments, he shouldn't present bad information on a Coronavirus Task Force briefing as the leader of the USA. It's not the media's fault that Lysol had to come out and remind global consumers to not ingest disinfectants. People have died because of what Trump muses (see: hydroxychloroquine). Mace, don't blame anyone else for what Trump says himself.

Chris, I'm good at reading a room: There's a difference between people that own a business and/or have close friends and family negatively affected from the economic shutdown, concerned for their personal interests...and social-media warriors that throw around second-rate articles and dubious info sources to support a counter-argument where no one wins. The second group of people are like cold, runny oatmeal. As a Republican, I'm embarassed by the ignorant masses that back Trump blindly, at the same time humbled by many Democrat friends that have no problem supporting DeWine and praising the job that he and Ohio are doing. I wouldn't have to say anything if I felt "my team" was moving forward in a positive direction for our country.

My problem with the "Liberate" people like Tim is that it's a self-serving bitchfest. It does nothing to help our situation, except show people how selfish they are and irritate people around them. They're not writing to DeWine's office or their state rep. They aren't stupid enough to run around thinking there's fruit to be gathered in the marketplace from a business standpoint, but they also don't have the balls to run around without a mask to support their stance that COVID-19 is a Dem plot to undermine Trump. The CR people I see on FB trying to man-splain Trump's comments from yesterday are ridiculous, using grade-school child's logic of "Well, maybe Trump is right because he said the doctors are going to test the UV light on people" open-ended argument shows no common sense, and no free-thinking. Sad!

Good news, guys...all you need to do is ingest some disinfectant and go to a tanning booth to take care of all this COVID-19 silliness. Also, let the light of the Sun shine from within. https://www.mediaite.com/news/trump-suggests-injecting-disinfectant-shining-uv-light-inside-patients-to-kill-coronavirus-in-bizarre-rambling-tangent/ Why does anyone let Trump talk off-script?

Man...it's been awhile since there was a good Guy Ritchie movie out. This one was really good.

I put some cheaper Rockford Fosgates all around my '79 Lincoln (4" front, 5x7 or 6x8 in the rear) powered by a $100 200w Kenwood amp and sounds really good for less than $250. Name-brand speakers will be a noticable improvement for sure, even if they're cheaper.

I didn't mind the wheels before, but bronze/gold wheels look really good to me these days. I'm liking the modern headlights way more than I expected.

With the plastic fender flares and AWD, the all-terrains make sense. Nice change!

Just messing around...I don't know what you bought it for. Congratulations on the sale!
-
I can't believe he bought that thing for $3500 and sold it for $20k. Market be cray.

Not Brian had one for a bit too, right? I think unfortunately there's a reason we don't see a lot of them anymore in Ohio: rust is starting to make them Find a Probe GT with the 2.5L V6 and a stick...if any of them still exist around our area.

1985 Porsche 944 LS Swap (take 2) - 4.Great

I've got the old-school jars/dishes of old bolts and nuts, as if I love digging into them to try and find matching nut/bolt pairs. Been thinking about getting a tray of new nuts/bolts like you have. I'm sure for the smaller stuff it's paid for itself in time savings. Great progress. Keep it up! -
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3237538402925826/ I've noticed this ad, as well as a bunch from Nissan North, on FB Marketplace advertising $10-30k vehicles for sub $4k. I wasn't born off the back of a turnip truck last yesterday, but is there some reason why they're baiting the marketplace like this? I'd be pissed if I was looking for a squarebody and some idiot at Taylor Automotive pulled the old "Oops! It's actually $12,200" switcheroo on me.

Dude...oil futures pricing is NEGATIVE $6.75 a barrel. Lowest since 1946. Oil so worthless, you have to pay people to take your 55gal drum. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-19/oil-drops-to-18-year-low-on-global-demand-crunch-storage-woes?utm_medium=social&utm_content=business&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&cmpid=socialflow-twitter-business&utm_source=twitter&__twitter_impression=true&__twitter_impression=true&__twitter_impression=true

A couple of years ago, I helped a friend rip a Northstar V8 and trans out of a 2000 Caddy Eldorado for a Fiero swap project. He's had it for the last 2 years as getting an aftermarket GM ECU piggy-back solution was surprisingly expensive at the time. With all the advancements in ECU and tuning over the last few years, is there any cheap, somewhat universal, off-the-shelf solution that gets an EFI engine started and running again? Like, a Chinese-built Holley Terminator X at 33% of the cost? I realize the Trans computer may be an issue if the ECU needs to talk to it, but I'm not much of a builder to know what the options are these days. Thanks!

That sucks! Hope your hand makes a full recovery, rather than having torn anything permanently.

Really sucks to hear, Wags...but I certainly respect your take on what's going on in the industry. It's only been 4-6 weeks of COVID-craziness, and we see too many chinks in the armor. I was surprised when Accu-Air abruptly shut down seemingly overnight. Being an optimist, I'm hopeful that even if we go through these extreme depths...maybe we come out the other side reorganizing some of the sport/hobby industries with new sanctioning bodies, groups, etc... bring it back down to a grassroots level. Nature abhors a vacuum.
